00:00Yeah, and when we speak about Hezbollah, it's so interesting because, as you say, they just weren't at the table.
00:05But the Lebanese army has officially accused Israel of violating the ceasefire hours after it came into effect.
00:12But in another post on social media today, Trump said Israel will not be bombing Lebanon any longer and that
00:21enough is enough.
00:23Is this a clear sign of frustration with Benjamin Netanyahu now from Donald Trump?
00:29As he tries to push forward with his own ceasefire.
00:32I think that this is a real inflection point, to be honest, right?
00:36Because the pressure has, the tension, if you will, has been building between Trump and Netanyahu over the last few
00:43weeks.
00:44And now it's apparent, right, that Israel's goal is to continue bombing southern Lebanon until all Hezbollah fighters are killed.
00:52And infrastructure is destroyed at least for several years until they have to mow the lawn again, so to speak,
00:59right?
01:00And that is not the U.S.'s goal at all.
01:03The U.S.'s goal, as I think is pretty clear from what Trump has been saying, is that we're looking
01:08for an off-ramp.
01:09We're looking to end this war, right?
01:10He wants to have all of this cleaned up before he goes to Beijing in May, right?
01:16May 13th, to be precise, right?
01:17So he's, you know, he's got a deadline here.
01:20And Netanyahu clearly does not have a deadline.
01:22The war can continue to go on and on and on from Israel's perspective, so long as it puts Israel
01:28in a position of power within the region.
01:30And, you know, that, I think, difference in strategy is causing a lot of heartburn in the U.S.-Israel relationship.
01:40And frankly, I'm not surprised at all that Israel has not been abiding by the ceasefire within hours of it
01:47taking effect because it's not something, frankly, that they want, right?
01:52And they also have not negotiated directly with Hezbollah.
01:56It's with Lebanon.
01:57So it's a, you know, they could say, they could easily turn around and say, we don't have a ceasefire
02:01with Hezbollah.
02:02We have it with Lebanon, right?
02:04So it's going to get messier, I think, before the dust finally settles.
