00:00I think the rift is very serious. I think that US President Donald Trump has realized that
00:06Benjamin Netanyahu promised him that if the US launch a war with Israel on Iran,
00:14there'll be regime change. There will be basically peace, which would lead to peace
00:21in the region. And the exact opposite has happened. So Netanyahu's promise of total
00:27victory over Iran has basically ended up in a huge US capitulation. Some described it as a
00:36glorious capitulation in the Israeli press today. So there is much to be said about this rift. Of
00:43course, the president is keeping it private, but he did say that Netanyahu will have to do whatever
00:48he said. And he's made that very, very loud and clear, both in statements he's made and in truth,
00:54social posts that he has done. But basically, Netanyahu pushed the US president to carry out
01:01these attacks with promises and presentations that not only didn't materialize, but that proved to be
01:09based on wrong intelligence. Israel's intelligence agencies are very good with tactics, but are
01:16catastrophic with strategy. We've seen that not only with Iran, we're seeing it now in Lebanon.
01:22What is the purpose of this occupation of Lebanon? Today is the 26th anniversary of the withdrawal of
01:31Israel from the so-called security zone. Israel occupied South Lebanon for 18 years and withdrew the 25th of
01:42May 2000 under former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. There was a promise again by Barak that the
01:51withdrawal from Lebanon would lead to a peace treaty with Lebanon, with Syria, and the idea was with the
01:57whole region. That didn't happen. What was the point today in recent months of reoccupying Lebanon?
02:05The army is complaining. The Israeli army finding it very difficult to keep their soldiers safe. Hezbollah
02:14are using explosive drones with deadly consequences to Israeli soldiers. Every day, soldiers are wounded.
02:23Every other day, soldiers are killed. So it's very clear that there is absolutely no strategy. It's clear,
02:29I think, to the Israeli population that a withdrawal is necessary. It's very clear, of course, to the
02:38Lebanese President and Prime Minister that it is essential. They would like to make it the Lebanese
02:43a precondition because they don't trust Netanyahu and the Israeli negotiating team.
