The Israel-Lebanon ceasefire has come into force for 10 days. Donald Trump says leaders of both countries have been invited to the White House for further talks.

00:00The Israel-Lebanon ceasefire agreement has come into force, beginning today and set to last for 10 days.
00:07The U.S., however, says that period could be extended.
00:10President Donald Trump says he has invited the leaders of both countries to the White House,
00:15although further details remain largely unknown.
00:17What is known is that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said there would be an opportunity
00:23for what he called a historic peace agreement with Lebanon.
00:26Iran-backed Hezbollah has agreed to abide by the ceasefire,
00:30but it demands for the inclusion of a full halt to attacks across all Lebanese territory
00:35and no freedom of movement for Israeli forces.
00:38Against Hezbollah's demands, Israeli troops have remained in a 10-kilometer deep security zone in the south of the country.
00:45It has also warned residents not to return to the area.
00:49The Israeli military also issued a statement just after the ceasefire came into force,
00:54saying it had hit more than 380 Hezbollah targets in the last 24 hours.
