01:13Stock down for the Rockets as they enter the first round of these NBA playoffs.
01:16I feel like that we're potentially looking at a stock down for Reed Shepard.
01:21And I don't want it to be that.
01:24A good Shepard.
01:24I really don't.
01:25I just, I think we're starting to see it.
01:28And my stock up will, here in a moment, will kind of show that.
01:32But somehow Reed has slipped himself on out that starting lineup.
01:36And Reed has not just slipped himself out of the starting lineup.
01:39It is not just due to, oh, Tari Eason, you're starting.
01:43Because he ain't either.
01:44But somehow he has slipped himself out.
01:47And Clint and Tyler, these are the most important games.
01:51This is when Udoka is going to go to his beliefs and what he knows and what feels right.
02:01He's going to go down with the ship.
02:03And the ship for him is, hey, if I don't trust you defensively, if I don't trust that you're
02:10going to be able to do things I want you to do, he's probably going to lean more towards
02:15having defensive lineups.
02:17And we're already seeing him do that towards the end of the regular season.
02:20The last three games, Reed has not started.
02:23And he has been in place for a more defensive-minded player.
02:27I just get the feel that he is going to move in what he trusts and who he trusts the
02:32most.
02:33And I think it's a fair statement to wonder how much Udoka trusts Reed Shepard.
02:39I don't think he trusts him a lot.
02:40So I think stock down potentially for Reed Shepard in the postseason.
02:44Oh, potentially.
02:45Hell, I think he hit the nail on the head.
02:46I mean, it was gift-wrapped.
02:49I mean, it was the opportunity was right there.
02:51Here you go, Reed.
02:52It's all yours, man.
02:53Take it and run with it.
02:55And I don't know that Reed had a lot to do with it.
02:57I don't think he had a chance to really run with it.
03:00But at the end of the day, I mean, there just was a huge opportunity there.
03:03And for him to not have somehow supplanted himself firmly in that starting lineup is baffling,

03:09So I don't, I mean, hell, whether we like it or not, or whether it's fair or not is, I

03:15how the stock's not down.
03:16If he gets one defensive breakdown, Reed might miss the next quarter.

05:33They're going to kind of go and flip flop by matchup.
05:35And now somehow, somehow in the last week, Josh has become the guy.
05:43He slipped in there and started the second half of, uh, I forgot what game that was.
05:48Maybe it was the Warriors.

05:51And he has been the starter since.
05:54And his stock is definitely up.
05:57I mean, I'll be honest with you.
05:58I, I feel like he was a guy that maybe you use sparingly, uh, to, to maybe come in for
06:04defense at times, but you know who your top guys are.
06:07No, he has wrestled away that starting, that starting spot, that other guard spot over Eason
06:12and Reed Shepard, which is, is, uh, I don't know.
06:17I, I would, I would assume you Doka sees that defense and says, I got to have it out there.
06:21I got to have it from Josh.
06:23I really do.
06:24So stock up for him.
06:26He was somebody that you would have looked at in the post season and thought, well, maybe
06:29he's not going to get a ton of minutes, but now, no, baby.
06:32He ain't just getting minutes.
06:33He got Reed and Eason on the bench.

07:19I've been critical of I'm in because I don't like what they're asking him to do a lot of
07:22times and carrying the ball and it doesn't carry the ball, but you know, but you know,
07:26facilitating, if you will.
07:27Um, I'm not a, not a fan of that, that role for him, but boy, when he is in his
07:32role, I
07:32mean, he is a, I mean, he is a joy to watch.
07:35And so, uh, I'm going to go right now for me personally, I'm in Thompson stock is, is
07:40as, as high as it's been in a minute.
07:42Yeah.
07:42That game 41, nine and seven, uh, on 22 shots, 17 of 22 is what he was.
07:49So he, and he's been big time down the stretch too.
07:52Uh, as you said, by the way, in that same game, Josh Okoge got the start Tyler.
07:56He went 27 minutes by the way.
07:58Eason had 23 minutes.
08:00Shepard had 18.
08:02Josh went for two points on one rebound and two assists or three from the field.
08:09Reed, who I believe they're 15 and four.
08:12And when he starts 12 points in that game on this 18 minute.
