05:11Something that I've always wanted to do is to go to Cappadocia.

05:15and it's been on, like, my bucket list forever.
05:18That's just, like, a non-negotiable for me.
05:20We do have a bit of a lead,
05:21and I know you're still a bit worried about it because of the elimination,
05:26but at the end of the day, it is over 31 hours to fifth place.
05:32Taking charge, Katie plots a scenic detour through the region of Cappadocia,
05:37known for its towering rock formations.
05:48I don't think it's going to be as simple as our previous legs.

23:19So in the quiet moments like today where I would be surrounded by my family, I miss them.

23:27When we lost Dad, all of our birthdays have just been slightly different.

23:46And I just don't have it anymore.

24:05After I finished medical school, I was working in emergency medicine.
24:09I was really loving the job.
24:11And then COVID kind of changed everything for me.
24:16In December 2021, we were just drowning in sick patients with COVID.
24:28Unfortunately, I got COVID.
24:31I was self-isolating in my room upstairs, making sure I didn't touch anything.
24:37But then Dad got unwell.
24:41Having your relative in hospital with COVID is essentially, it feels like someone basically has your heart in their hand.
24:54And it's just tearing it to pieces.
24:58It's heartbreaking when it hits you.
25:00He's not going to come back.
25:04It's just a big reminder that through all of the big moments of your life, Dad's not going to be
25:10there.
25:12I felt a lot of guilt.
25:15Because in my mind, I brought COVID home.
25:18I put him in this situation and it was my fault.
25:21I still struggle with that.
25:24You just have periods where you need to cry out to release that tension.
25:28And then once it's gone, it's like a weight lifted off your chest.
25:31It kind of means you're dealing with your emotions as well, right?
25:34Like when it first happened, you kind of sucked it all up.
25:38Yeah.
25:39And like, no matter what we go through in life, I know you will always be there for me if
25:43I ever needed anything.
25:45The same the other way around.
25:46It's like how you held my hand when I was trying to get my ear closed.
25:53Rosh is my family.
25:55She knows how I'm feeling.
25:56And she's just the perfect person to kind of be a shoulder to cry on, but at the same time,
26:01like, distract me.
26:03I couldn't have asked for anyone more than what Rosh has been for me.
