00:00Capella Bangkok is our top global hotel this year because it is the place to stay if your
00:04travel revolves around food. The hotel is home to Coat by Maru Kula Greco, a two-Michelin-starred
00:09restaurant which serves up a beautiful eight-course meal with views of the Chow Pryor
00:12River and perfectly paired fours. I love this seafood salad with caviar and parsley and this
00:16pollock with Swiss chard was a work of art. The cheese cart was also the stuff of dreams.
00:20Of course, the Thai food is spectacular. Prana Khan, their all-day restaurant,
00:23serves up delicious Thai classics. Some of my favorites were the pork salad with crispy rice
00:27and a seasonal pomelo salad of fish floss and cashews, but I also haven't stopped thinking
00:31about the mango sticky rice and pad siu I enjoyed in my room. If you're feeling inspired, the team at
00:35Capella is also happy to curate food-centered excursions. We took a tuk-tuk to a local market
00:40where one of the hotel chefs and I walked around talking about different Thai ingredients while
00:43also picking up stuff for lunch and trying tons of fresh bites along the way. Back at the hotel,
00:48we did more ingredient picking at the property's abundant garden, and then I learned to cook green
00:51curry in a grouper salad. For drinks, the hotel also has Stella, a gorgeous bar that features live
00:56music every night and boasts a menu of perfect libations inspired by the new CM. I love the
01:00silk route, which is an ode to the chow praya and its historical importance to trade. Night Thai was
01:04also a highlight. They also have a food menu filled with late-night hits like this tonkatsu sandwich
01:08and these beef skewers. If tea is more your vive, Capella Bangkok's afternoon tea experience cannot be
01:12missed. The selection has something for everyone, and the savory and sweet bites are almost too pretty
01:16to eat, but absolutely worth tucking into. I personally can't stop thinking about this lemonade sorbet
01:21with comfy Buddha's hands, which was the freshest bite I've ever had.
