00:06If you haven't watched it, it's your fault.
00:07I got to the final three and then I got stabbed in the back.
00:11As soon as it happened, I was like, I have the perfect song to put out.
00:22When we're in Scotland, we don't have any internet.
00:24I had an old MP3 player with my songs on it with a wired headphone and I would just sit
00:31there.
00:32I was like, okay, when I get out, I'm going to rewrite this song and do that and do that.
00:36I would be listening to what was the first version of this song and I was like, huh.
00:41Not knowing what would have happened, this was about other people in my life and now suddenly
00:45it is about Rob and Maura.
00:47I did not win this show, but I will win in music some other way and it's going to be
00:52through
00:52this song.
01:02So much of this song resonates with me and it's written because I have had some really
01:07crazy people in my life.
01:09People who tried to take advantage of who I was, what I was, and it's really bad.
01:25I have decently strong boundaries now.
01:28It's like a picket fence.
01:30People can jump over and you can just walk in through the door, but it's at least a boundary.
01:35Painted.
01:36Fresh.
01:46Just be honest and nice and good and decent, which apparently is very hard for a lot of
01:51people.
01:52You would think it's like, yeah, I screwed up.
01:54I'm sorry.
01:55And we can move on and be adults, but some people will die on crazy hills.
01:59And in the context of Rob, look, we could have won it together, but to each his own.
02:05That's his choice.
02:06He could have made the right choice, which is to win with me.
02:10So how can you turn and walk away from a fire you started?
02:18I never owed you anything, no matter how you saw it.
02:26I remember specifically being in really toxic situations.
02:30People trying to hold things against me when it's not sound and it's wrong and it's just
02:38dishonest.
02:39Essentially it was blackmail and threats.
02:41I guess that's the best way to say it, you know?
02:43And I was like, this is actually insane because it's all not true.
02:47But then you live in fear of these ridiculous situations.
03:08When you're in that moment, you have these threats for blackmail or whatever.
03:13And you're like, please don't do this.
03:17You could literally choose to do the right thing.
03:19You could literally, none of this.
03:21You could do just none of this.
03:22You could save me.
03:24You could save yourself.
03:24You could save this entire situation.
03:25And just like, we could just, again, move on.
03:28But then you're like, watch this.
03:31Hit the red button.
03:32Everything explodes.
03:33And you're like, fun.
03:52You blew the thing up.
03:54I'm stuck there burning up.
03:57And then you're like, I'm sorry.
03:59My bad.
03:59Will you forgive me?
04:00And then you're just being manipulated by the most toxic people in the world.
04:05Which is crazy.
04:07But crazy exists.
04:08Crazy is a real person.
04:11And she is in the room.
04:28Why and how did I trust this person at all?
04:30Right?
04:31Did they even care about me at all?
04:32Like, they had a plan to just screw you over from the top.
04:35Like, that last line is like, I would never do the same to you.
04:36It's like, I genuinely would not.
04:38Even in gameplay, I just really can't.
04:42As if you've seen Traitors, you know.
04:44Everybody's like, you should have turned on him.
04:45You should have stabbed everybody in the back.
04:47I was like, but that's not me.
04:48Like, I could not do that.
04:50When I called Rob and Maura, I was like, hey, I think I'm gonna do a music for this song.
04:54Can you do it?
04:54Rob was like, literally, it's the least I can do for you.
04:58And Maura was kind of like, I just need to look hot.
05:00Let's do it.
05:01And I'm like, okay, fair.
05:04This originally was a duet.
05:06And I had some really cool people that we were like, oh, I think, do we do this?
05:11And then last minute, we went with the solo version.
05:13But I need a duet partner, guys.
