00:17So far, more than 89% of the ballots have been counted.
00:20Right-wing candidate Keiko Fujimori leads in the polls with 16.9%,
00:24followed by Roberto Sanchez from the left-wing party, together for Peru,
00:28who has amassed 11.98% of votes surpassing Popular Renewal candidate Rafael López-Aliaga,
00:34also right-wing, who follows closely with 11.93% and a vote difference of 7,539 ballots.
00:42In the bicameral chamber, the Popular Renewal Party surged ahead of the Fujimori-affiliated party,
00:47popular forced by a slight margin.
00:49The results are being contested by López-Aliaga,
00:51who claims the reported delays in the labor of voting materials amounts to fraud
00:55and is demanding the annulment of the election.
00:58For his part, Candia Sanchez has called to respect the vote and the will of Peruvians.
