Ghana names Carlos Queiroz as coach ahead of FIFA World Cup

Ghana has appointed Carlos Queiroz as head coach of its men’s national football team, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said on Monday (13 April).

00:23Queiroz was tapped for the job because of his extensive World Cup experience.
00:28He led South Africa to qualification in 2002 and guided Portugal to the knockout phase in 2010.
00:35He also coached Iran's World Cup teams in 2014 and 2018.
00:41Queiroz takes over from Otto Addo, who was fired last month.
