00:09And in that meeting, it was agreed that each house should contribute a sum of $10,000 to grade your

00:18This is the story of Ogumaga resident, an area in Egondo, a Kachun local government development area, Lagos State.
00:27On March 5, 2026, it was agreed that they must contribute such money and cumulatively raise the sum of $20
00:36,000,000 to grade their road.
00:38This move was agreed after calls upon calls and played fair to the deaf ear, both from the local government
00:46to the state government in Lagos State.
00:49They had to do this before the rainy season.
00:52When the guardian reached out to the chairman of the community development area, he defended this agreement.
00:59And when we spoke to him further, he said,
01:02All calls are fair to deaf ear, and they have nothing else to do than to resort to self-tasking.
