00:03Have you ever wondered if you're the smartest person in the room, your office, or maybe even
00:07your hometown? Absolutely. Think you'd be smarter than half the country? Top 10%? Or maybe even
00:14the top 1%? All I can say is rut-ro. Doesn't matter where you went to school or what
00:20you do
00:20for a living. I am an 11th grade English teacher. You look like Jesus at the Last Supper.
00:27The 1% Club levels the playing field for everyone. Before the show, we asked people
00:33from all over the United States a list of our unique questions that are designed to test
00:37logic, common sense, and how our brain actually works. Tonight, we'll be asking those exact
00:43questions to our 100 contestants, beginning with the easiest one that 90% of America got
00:48right and ending with the hardest question that only 1% of the American public answered
00:53correctly. At the start of each show, every contestant is given a $1,000 stake. If they
00:59get any question wrong, they're out of the game, and their $1,000 goes into the prize pot.
01:04Whoever gets the furthest tonight gets the chance to answer the final 1% question and take home
01:09up to $100,000. I'll be doing the asking tonight, and here doing the answering are these 100 contestants.
01:19I'm Joel McHale, and it's time to play the 1% Club.
01:27100 contestants are seated here before me, ready to try to become game show legends,
01:32and one host is standing before them, trying desperately not to misread the teleplompter.
01:38Dang it. Teleprompter. All right. Let's play, shall we?
01:43All right. One out of every 10 Americans we pulled answered this first question correctly.
01:49We don't talk about the one person that got it wrong, ever. Here is your 90% question. Here we
01:56go.
01:58Logically, based solely on their names, which celebrity below belongs on this guest list?
02:03Your time starts now.
02:11If you're wondering why my name isn't on that list, it's simply because I wasn't invited.
02:30Time, everybody. That is your time on Earth.
02:35Now let's see how many of you got the question right, and how many of you are out of the
02:39game.
02:40And we do that by inviting my friend, Blue Light, to point it out.
02:46Blue Light, oh, where are you?
02:48Blue Light, oh, where are you from?
03:03Wait, I think this just broke, cause it says here we lost 11 of you.
03:07Oh my God.
03:08Which means we have 89 of you left.
03:11Look at this row.
03:13Guys, all right, well, there she goes, there she goes.
03:19There is a trap door underneath each of your seats.
03:25Here's a fun record.
03:26That's the most we've ever lost on the 90% question.
03:30Wow, that is amazing.
03:32We're doing great! Yeah!
03:36All right, the answer is C, Bad Bunny.
03:39It's a list of celebrities whose second name is an animal.
03:44All right, let's talk to somebody who got it wrong.
03:47Katherine, hi.
03:48I'm sorry.
03:49Don't get all Canadian on me.
03:51Gosh, I just was nervous and I just hit the wrong one.
03:54Well, that's exactly what happened.
03:56But my girl is here, so I'll be cheering her on.
04:00Oh, your daughter's here.
04:01You also go to the same hairstylist, huh?
04:05It's me.
04:05And dressmaker?
04:07Yes, we're always twinning.
04:08Wow.
04:09Okay.
04:11Uh, Katherine, thank you for being here.
04:13I'll definitely be talking to you more.
04:15All right, if you got that wrong, I've got good news and bad news.
04:19Bad news is we take your $1,000 and add it to the prize pot.
04:22Good news is you've got great seats to watch someone else win the cash
04:26that currently stands at...
04:31All right, $11,000.
04:32All right.
04:34Let's put all that ugliness behind us and focus on the ugliness ahead.
04:39Here is your 80% question.
04:44Which pizza has more slices?
04:46Your time starts now.
04:54And which one will I eat hunched over my sink while sobbing about not getting invited to that party with
04:59Doja Cat and Megan Fox?
05:12That is your time.
05:15Put your off-brand iPads down.
05:18Oh, blue light, blue light in the sky.
05:21Who answered wrong and will say goodbye?
05:36Three.
05:37That's better.
05:39Which means we've got 86 of you left.
05:42All right.
05:43The answer is B.
05:45The rectangular pizza has seven large slices and four smaller ones for a total of 11.
05:51And the round one only has eight.
05:54Okay.
05:55Where is Elora?
05:57Hi.
05:57Hey, Elora.
05:59What happened?
06:01At first, I had the right answer.
06:03Yeah?
06:03And then I changed it because I was like, those are pieces, not slices.
06:06So I was on a technicality.
06:09Wait, are you saying the triangle-shaped pizza is a slice?
06:13Yeah.
06:14And a rectangle-shaped piece of pizza is a piece?
06:18Yes.
06:19That was my logic.
06:20That is not a thing.
06:22Oh.
06:23I can see how you got there.
06:25What do you do for fun, Elora?
06:26I like to do impressions.
06:28Who do you do an impression of?
06:29Do you guys know the Ugly Duckling from Tom and Jerry?
06:32Yeah.
06:33Oh, no.
06:34I got the wrong answer.
06:36I thought that was a piece of pizza.
06:39That was a slice.
06:40And now I'm poor.
06:42I'm angry.
06:47Well, that was really good.
06:48Thanks, Tom.
06:49I can do Stitch a lot of times.
06:51That was my favorite movie growing up.
06:53You want me to share it with you?
06:54No.
06:55No? Okay.
06:56Thank you, Elora.
06:58All right.
06:59The prize pot is currently looking at private schools for its children,
07:02which means the total has grown to...
07:07$14,000.
07:10All right.
07:11Here is your 70% question.
07:15These triplets like to wear similar clothing,
07:18but with subtle differences, so people can tell them apart.
07:21Which triplet is wearing this exact outfit?
07:24Your time starts now.
07:31And yes, Rainbow Bright and Where's Waldo had triplets from in vitro fertilization.
07:50That is time, everybody.
07:52Blue light.
07:53Kindly illuminate those that totally boned it on that question.
08:12Oh!
08:13Oh, my!
08:14We just lost 14 of you on that question.
08:17Whew!
08:18Which means we have 72 of you left.
08:20And the answer is B.
08:23In A, the scarf is different colors.
08:26In C, the scarf fringe is much shorter.
08:28And the sweater cuffs are a different color.
08:31You see it now?
08:33Yeah.
08:33Yeah.
08:34Yeah.
08:35Gabriella.
08:37Joel.
08:38Oh, no.
08:39Listen, I am the queen of matching outfits.
08:41I mean, look at her.
08:42How did I get this wrong?
08:43I know.
08:44We're always matching.
08:46I mean, it shows a real character flaw, doesn't it?
08:49You can't have beauty in brains, so it's fine.
08:53Uh, people are offended.
08:56And...
08:56Well, you can't have it all.
08:57Are you telling me that Tom Brady doesn't have beauty in brains?
09:00I don't know.
09:01You don't know.
09:02Well, smoking like someone without brains.
09:05Uh...
09:06There you go.
09:06Thank you for being here.
09:07You got to the 70% question.
09:09Woo!
09:10You did good!
09:11All right, let's talk to somebody else.
09:13Uniqua.
09:13Where is Uniqua?
09:15I'm right here.
09:15Oh, hey, Uniqua.
09:16All right.
09:17What do you do for fun?
09:18I collect dolphins for fun, actually.
09:20Live dolphins?
09:21I wish.
09:22I collect figurine dolphins, stuffed animal dolphins, dolphin nuggets.
09:26Like, anything dolphin-related.
09:28Dolphin nuggets like they're meat?
09:29No!
09:30I would never!
09:31I think that was a fair question.
09:34Have you ever swam with dolphins?
09:36I have!
09:37They just all start swimming towards me, and I was like...
09:39It's, like, happening.
09:40It was amazing.
09:41And you just sounded like a dolphin.
09:43That's so good.
09:44I think they understood you perfectly.
09:47Allura, do you have a dolphin?
09:52Okay.
09:53Sounds like a dolphin who loves a cigar once in a while.
09:56That's great.
09:57Uniqua, thank you for coming on the show.
09:58Thank you so much.
09:59All right.
10:00Oh, prize pot, how big are you now?
10:04$28,000.
10:07All right.
10:08Of the Americans we hit with this question, 40% of them got it wrong.
10:12Probably because we hit them with the question.
10:15Here is the 60% question, everyone.
10:19What are the two words on this sign that are hidden by trees?
10:24Your time starts now.
10:34No shoes, no shirt, no pants, no problem.
10:50And that's time, everybody.
10:52Carl's downstairs hair store is closed.
10:56Let's see who got it wrong.
10:58Blue light, do your thing.
11:11Three.
11:12We just lost three of you on that question,
11:14which means we have 69 of you left.
11:17Yeah!
11:17Yeah!
11:25On the pubes store question.
11:28There are families here.
11:32All right, 69ers.
11:33Here we go.
11:34The answer is public storage.
11:36The sign actually says public storage.
11:39They just did a little trimming around there.
11:41You can see everything.
11:43Let's talk to Delaney who got it right.
11:45Delaney.
11:46Hi.
11:47So what would you do with the money?
11:49Welcome.
11:49You joined me in this journey.
11:50I want to create a writer's retreat.
11:51Oh, we don't have time for this story.
11:54All right.
11:55So, Delaney, good luck the rest of the show.
11:57All right.
11:58It's been an incredible game so far.
12:0031 players have been eliminated,
12:01and the prize pot has grown to a staggering...
12:08$31,000.
12:10We're giving away a massive cash prize,
12:13and thanks to some rusty contestant chairs,
12:15free tetanus shots.
12:16More 1% Club right after this on Fox.
12:29Welcome back to the 1% Club.
12:31We started the game with 100 players,
12:33but the ever-increasing difficulty of our questions
12:35has trimmed 31 from our ranks.
12:38From now on, we shall refer to those eliminated
12:41as the sitting dead.
12:43But 69 contestants are still very much alive
12:46and battling their way to winning
12:48the glorious prize pot,
12:50currently worth $31,000.
12:53For all of you that have survived up to this point,
12:56I've got great news for you.
12:57Now you're going to get a lifeline.
12:59For any of the next 10 questions,
13:01you can use the $1,000 we gave you
13:04to pay for a pass and move on to the next question.
13:07You can only do this once,
13:09and your $1,000 will go straight into the prize pot.
13:12So use your pass wisely.
13:14Let's continue the game.
13:16Here is your 50% question.
13:21Gail's alarm company requires her
13:23to use a 10-character password,
13:25and no characters can be duplicated.
13:27Which of these is an acceptable password?
13:30Your time starts now.
13:40They also require Gail to keep a full charcuterie plate
13:43in her panic room.
13:44They are a very thorough alarm company.
13:48It's a little stinky in there.
13:56It's time, everybody.
13:58Do you guys remember my friend Blue Light?
14:00No.
14:00He knows who got it wrong.
14:02Go ahead, Blue Light.
14:18We just lost seven of you on that question,
14:20which means we have 62 of you left,
14:22and eight of you used your pass.
14:25Wow.
14:26Wow.
14:27Yeah, wow.
14:28The answer is B.
14:29Choice A repeats the letter E.
14:31Choice D is only nine characters.
14:34Choice C is only nine characters,
14:36and repeats the asterisk.
14:37All right.
14:38Let's talk to somebody who got it right.
14:39Keith!
14:40Hey, Joel.
14:41Was this easy for you?
14:42Uh, yeah, pretty easy.
14:43I know how to count.
14:44I teach my kid at, uh...
14:45He's homeschooled,
14:46so I teach him to count every day.
14:47Like, how is the football team for the homeschool?
14:51Oh, well, so he's real good at sports.
14:54I am not as good.
14:55When I was in college,
14:56I actually did acapella,
14:58and I was the beatboxer, so...
15:00Hmm, that's pretty cool.
15:02Let's hear it, then.
15:05All right.
15:11Oh, all right.
15:17Nice.
15:18Thank you, Keith.
15:19Can we get a towel for the backs of the people's heads
15:22in front of them?
15:23Yeah.
15:23It's all right down there.
15:24Thank you, Keith.
15:25Very good beatboxing.
15:26Let's check the prize pot, shall we?
15:29And...
15:29It's at $46,000.
15:32Whoo!
15:32Here is your 45% question.
15:38Anna, Gina, and James are each standing
15:41on a different step in this picture.
15:43If Anna is two steps higher than Gina,
15:46and Gina is one step below James,
15:48which person in this picture is tallest?
15:51Your time starts now.
15:59We borrowed this height-modifying step system
16:01from every Tom Cruise movie.
16:06I'm a dead man for saying that.
16:08I'm a dead man for saying that.
16:17That is time.
16:19Stop it!
16:20Stop!
16:22For those of you who got that wrong,
16:23you can now unwind in a relaxing bath
16:26of harsh blue light.
16:28Here we go.
16:41We lost three of you on that question,
16:43which means we've got 59 of you left,
16:46and six of you used your pass.
16:49Yes.
16:49You guys want to see that answer?
16:51Yes.
16:51Here it is.
16:53The answer is B, Gina.
16:55Gina is standing on the lowest step,
16:57so she must be the tallest.
16:59Whoo!
16:59All right.
17:00Beth?
17:01Right here.
17:02Beth, what did you put?
17:04Okay, so I actually...
17:05I didn't even...
17:06Gina wasn't even on my thought process,
17:07so I was just wrong.
17:08All right.
17:09What do you do for work?
17:10I am a high school chorus teacher,
17:12and my students tell me
17:13that I sound like a Disney princess.
17:15Oh.
17:15So I can make, like, any song,
17:16any of our chorus songs,
17:17I always make them sound like Disney princess songs.
17:20Keeps them enticed, you know?
17:22Can you, uh, take a song
17:23that is not a Disney princess song
17:24and sing it for us?
17:25Sure.
17:26Row, row, row your boat
17:28Gently down the stream
17:31Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
17:33Life is but a dream
17:35Whoo!
17:37Yes.
17:38And thank you for choosing a song
17:40we don't have to pay for.
17:42Right, see?
17:42See, I'm with you.
17:43I know.
17:44All right.
17:45Let's talk to the prize pot now.
17:47$54,000!
17:49Anyone else notice prize pot
17:52gets sexier every time
17:53we add money to it?
17:54Yeah!
17:55All right.
17:56Here is our 40% question.
18:01How many different colors make up
18:03the nine colored squares seen here?
18:05Your time starts now.
18:15Those annoying sweater triplets from earlier
18:17have the exact same quilt.
18:31Time, everybody!
18:33The blue light's gonna tell us
18:34who got it wrong.
18:50We just lost nine of you on that question,
18:53which means we've got 50 of you left
18:55and five of you used your pass.
18:58Here's the answer.
19:00Six.
19:00The colors are red, blue, green,
19:02yellow, orange, and purple.
19:05Somebody missed a color,
19:07and her name is Lucy.
19:09That's me.
19:10I was gonna flirt with you
19:11in my talk to you,
19:12but then I got sad,
19:13so you get sad version of me now.
19:15Well, I guess you could do
19:16some sad flirting.
19:18Hey, sexy.
19:23Hey, you look great today.
19:25Oh, thanks!
19:27Now I'm happy again.
19:28Oh!
19:29Stop flirting with me.
19:31Uh...
19:32Well, Lucy, thank you for being here.
19:34Thank you for being you.
19:36You're welcome.
19:37All right.
19:38The prize pot is now worth...
19:43$65,000.
19:44All right, here is your 35% question.
19:51In this picture,
19:52the later a letter occurs in the alphabet,
19:54the larger in size it should be.
19:56Which letter is the wrong size?
19:58Your time starts now.
20:08This is the last time I drop ass
20:10and eat a bowl of alphabet soup.
20:24That is time.
20:26You know what's exactly the right size?
20:28The blue light on you guys.
20:31Show me who got it wrong.
20:45Six.
20:46We just lost six of you on that question,
20:48which means we have 44 of you left
20:50and four of you used your pass.
20:54Want to see the answer?
20:55Yeah.
20:56I'm not gonna show you.
20:58No, I'm kidding. It's P, everybody.
21:00P comes after N in the alphabet,
21:03so it should be larger than the N
21:05and smaller than the R.
21:07Ah, it's so much easier when it's in that order.
21:10All right, let's talk to somebody who got it right.
21:12Jake.
21:13What's up, Mr. Host Man?
21:14Jake, hi.
21:15Hi, Mr. Contestant Man.
21:17Um, so, Jake, you're still in the show.
21:20Yeah.
21:20What do you do for work?
21:22Um, so, I go to hospitals,
21:24and I dress as Spider-Man,
21:26and I hang out with the kids,
21:28entertain them,
21:28put them through a little superhero boot camp.
21:30That's awesome.
21:32Good for you.
21:33How do you get started in something like this?
21:35When I was a kid,
21:36my mom dated this guy
21:38who was the Baltimore Batman.
21:40He would go to hospitals in the Batmobile
21:43and, like, entertain the kids,
21:45and I saw that, and I was like,
21:47dude, I have to do that when I grow up.
21:49So, I grew up, I became the Baltimore Spider-Man,
21:53and I'm teaching him a lesson
21:55that with great power comes a great shot
21:57to win the 1% Club.
21:59You know what I'm saying?
22:01Well planned out.
22:03Nicely done, Jake.
22:04All right, let's see where we are with the prize pot.
22:09$73,000.
22:12This is one of the sharpest, smartest shows on TV.
22:15And now, a quick break so we can all go pee-pee.
22:17More 1% Club right after this here on Fox.
22:31Welcome back to the 1% Club.
22:33We began the show with 100 contestants,
22:36but I really don't like sharing the spotlight,
22:38so we've culled the number down to 44.
22:4127 of you still have your passes,
22:43so all of you can either keep going
22:45and hope to make it to the 1% question
22:47and win up to $100,000.
22:53Or you can take a guaranteed $1,000 right now
22:57and leave the show.
22:59Please make your decision now.
23:07Two people have decided to take the $1,000.
23:12Congratulations, guys.
23:13You've got $1,000 in your pocket now.
23:15Parker, why are you leaving?
23:18Having an allergic reaction to my spray tan or something?
23:21No, tan looks good, Joel.
23:23I'm not normally a believer in participation trophies,
23:26but when it has three zeros behind it,
23:28it's for me.
23:29Okay.
23:29What are you gonna do with the money?
23:31Likely whatever the nicest gluten-free restaurant
23:33in Atlanta is
23:34and treat the missus to something nice.
23:36All right.
23:37Great.
23:38Yeah.
23:39We'll see you at the Waffle House.
23:41Okay.
23:42So the other 25 decided to stay,
23:45leaving us with 42 contestants
23:47still in the game vying for up to $98,000.
23:51And now, a question whose very existence
23:54was believed to be entirely theoretical
23:56until this moment.
23:58Contestants, here is the 30% question.
24:03There are three threes and three fours on this wheel.
24:07If you spin it twice,
24:08what percent chance do you have of getting a total of seven?
24:12Your time starts now.
24:21Fun fact.
24:22In rehearsal, I tried so hard to figure this out,
24:24I gave myself a nosebleed.
24:38Time, everybody.
24:40That is time.
24:41Blue light, go.
24:58Eight.
24:59We just lost eight of you on that question,
25:02which means we have 34 of you left.
25:05And 16 of you used your pass.
25:08Let's see the answer.
25:09Fifty.
25:10There are four possible outcomes.
25:13Two threes, two fours, three and four,
25:16or four and three.
25:18Two of those add up to seven,
25:19which means you have a 50% chance of getting seven.
25:23Let's talk to Grace.
25:25Hey.
25:25Hi.
25:26I'm in shock right now.
25:28Why?
25:29Like, the last second, I was like,
25:3150-50, and I put 50 in, and it was right.
25:34I can't believe it.
25:35Yeah, all right.
25:37What do you like to do in your free time?
25:39I just recently learned how to burp.
25:41Oh.
25:42I see.
25:44Wait.
25:44How did you learn to burp?
25:46Well, I had a procedure done.
25:48Botox to the throat.
25:51Throatox, I guess.
25:52Okay.
25:52And now I get to burp.
25:54And it's so exciting.
25:55At 41, I'm learning new things about my body.
25:57Like, when you burp, you can remember what you ate recently,
26:00which I never knew.
26:04Wow.
26:05Uh...
26:06Thank you, Grace.
26:07Enjoy the burping.
26:08It is a whole new world.
26:09Uh...
26:10That round pushed the prize pot up to a total of...
26:15$92,000!
26:19Hefty, but the prize pot carries it well.
26:22Evenly distributed.
26:23Now let's see who can continue their streak
26:25and totally not mess up as you face the 25% question.
26:33Logically, which set of words should fill in the blanks below?
26:36Your time starts now.
26:45Guys, for my own sanity, I must know, is that a giant clipboard or a tiny woman?
27:02Hey!
27:04Atamazappa!
27:05Now we're gonna find out who got it wrong.
27:08Hello, blue light.
27:23What?
27:2515!
27:28We just lost 15 of you on that question, which means we've got 19 of you left and five of
27:34you used your pass.
27:35Let's see the answer.
27:38A.
27:39Thigh glow.
27:40Each word pair on the list hides a pair of opposites.
27:43Even Shannon Shroff's name follows that pattern.
27:47Oh!
27:49Let's talk to somebody who got it right.
27:51T.
27:51Hi, T.
27:52Hi!
27:53Hey, so what's on your head?
27:55Called a hat, Joel.
27:56All right.
27:58It looks cool.
27:59Thank you so much.
28:00I can make you one if you want.
28:01And if you love it, you can keep it.
28:02If you hate it, you can give it to Ken Jeong.
28:04And I'm gonna give Ken Jeong nothing.
28:08Uh, T, what would you do with the money?
28:10It's actually kind of funny.
28:11Grace, we must be kindred spirits.
28:13I have the same condition.
28:14What I want to do is I want to get that Botox injection in my throat so I can burp.
28:18Wow.
28:19What are the chances?
28:21Uh, well, good luck with the Botox injections in your throat.
28:24Yeah.
28:25I might just join you to see what it's like.
28:28Let's check the prize pot, shall we?
28:30Prize pot!
28:31How big are you?
28:35$97,000.
28:38This game is so exciting, we just have to bring it to a screeching halt.
28:42More 1% Club after this.
28:54Well, look who came crawling back.
28:57I'm kidding, I'm very happy to see you.
29:00Please never leave again.
29:01Here on the 1% Club, we're down to 19 contestants
29:05and plumped our prize pot from zero up to $97,000.
29:10A lot of money, guys.
29:13Contestants, if you still have your $1,000 left, you can pay for a pass,
29:17but you can't use it on the 1% question.
29:19And now, a percentage that reflects the most difficult question yet
29:23and my approval score with game show viewers.
29:27This is your 20% question.
29:32Three gleeps equal one glop.
29:35Two glops equal one gloop.
29:37How many gleeps will it take to balance this scale?
29:40Your time starts now.
29:49Oh, you've got to be gleeping kidding me with this question.
30:07Time, everybody!
30:08That is time.
30:10Let's see who answered correctly and who did not.
30:24One, which means we have 18 of you left.
30:28Let's say the answer, shall we?
30:29Nine.
30:30If one glop is three gleeps, then one gloop is six gleeps.
30:35So you need nine gleeps to balance the scale.
30:38Let's talk to somebody who got it right.
30:39Hi, Amelie.
30:40Hello.
30:41So you're deep in this game.
30:43By the grace of God.
30:44What would you do with the money?
30:45I would try to get back in touch with learning languages again.
30:51You wouldn't go out and just have, like, three shots of bourbon with that money?
30:54Okay, I get it. I get it, Amelie.
30:55I can't say that on TV.
30:57All right, um, congrats and good luck.
30:59Let's take a look at the prize pot.
31:01It is still at $97,000.
31:05It hasn't changed because the players who got it wrong already used their past.
31:10All right, your next challenge is the 15% question.
31:14Here it is.
31:17What animal do you get if you draw lines between the dots in order?
31:21Your time starts now.
31:30If you guys have some extra time, it would be so sweet if you could write some nice things about
31:34me.
31:48That is time.
31:49And you know what else it's time for?
31:52A visit from my good friend, Blue Light.
31:55All right, show us who got it wrong.
32:10Whoa, we just lost six of you on that question, which means we have 12 of you left.
32:16The answer is elephant.
32:18Yeah, it's so much easier when you draw the lines, right?
32:21Hi, buddy.
32:22Uh, all right.
32:24Gabe.
32:24Oh, hi, Gabe.
32:25Hey, Joel.
32:26What do you do for fun, Gabe?
32:27Right now, I'm actually planning my wedding.
32:29I wanted to get a special suit made because you wouldn't know it by looking at me, but I can
32:34actually do the splits.
32:35And at the weddings that I've been to in the past, I've had a bit of a blowout issue post
32:40-split, uh, where the crotch blows out in the suits that I'm wearing, so...
32:44You think if you did it now, you would blow your pants out?
32:46I mean, we'll have to find out if I make it to the floor.
32:50Oh!
32:51Well, do you want to try to do the splits now?
32:54Right now?
32:56I would like to see it.
32:58There you go, Gabe.
33:00Gabe, come on down.
33:02Does wardrobe have extra pants if this goes poorly?
33:05Absolutely not.
33:06Come on down, Gabe.
33:09Come on down over here.
33:13Gabe, nice to meet you.
33:14Yeah, I guess, like, right here.
33:16Gabe, do it!
33:18Gabe!
33:19Gabe!
33:29Gabe, everybody!
33:31Nicely done.
33:33Gabe, how are the pants?
33:35Still in shape.
33:36Yeah, all right.
33:37Let's check out the prize pot, guys.
33:39It is exactly the same.
33:41$97,000.
33:43There, stakes adequately set.
33:46Now let's tease the rest of the show.
33:48These 12 remaining contestants will compete to see if they can make it into the 1% Club.
33:53There, show properly teased.
33:56See what happens when we return.
34:07Welcome back to the 1% Club.
34:09This game is nearing its exciting conclusion, and not even I know how it's going to wrap up.
34:14That's just how the future works.
34:17I try not to think about it too much.
34:18Let's move on, shall we?
34:20The contestants that make it the furthest in the game will win a share of $10,000.
34:25But if they're feeling brave, they can risk their share of the $10,000 by taking on the 1%
34:30question for a chance to win everything in the prize pot, which is currently at $97,000.
34:39But if anyone's going to win it, they need to survive our last three questions.
34:43Here is your 10% question.
34:48What word that describes a sound do you get from putting together the silent letters from each of the following
34:54words?
34:54Your time starts now.
35:04And if you're wondering why the letters are silent, it's probably because of something you did.
35:26Time, everybody.
35:27That is time.
35:28Let's see who's still in the game and who is not.
35:33It's most of you.
35:34Here we go.
35:46Two.
35:47We just lost two of you on that question, which means we have 10 of you left and only one
35:53of you used your pass.
35:54This is a hard one.
35:56The answer is clunk.
35:58Here are the silent letters and together they spell clunk.
36:03All right.
36:04Let's talk to somebody who didn't clunk.
36:06Where is Mark?
36:07Here I am.
36:08Look at you in the 10% club, huh?
36:10Somehow.
36:11So, Mark, who's cheering you on tonight?
36:13I've got my girlfriend of five years at home.
36:15She is definitely watching very intently.
36:17We're very competitive and I have talked quite a big game about the day I would eventually get on a
36:23game show.
36:24And today is that day, so I'm going to look really stupid if I don't pull it off.
36:28You're doing great so far.
36:29It got a little dicey with that wheel question, but feeling good.
36:34All right.
36:34Well, you are in the game.
36:36Nicely done.
36:37Let's talk to the prize pot now.
36:40$98,000 are in there.
36:44Contestants, here is your 5% question.
36:50When counting down from 100, what's the first number you'll say that's not part of another number whose name has
36:57exactly one syllable?
36:58Your time starts now.
37:30That is your time.
37:33A lot of murmuring happening now.
37:36A lot of people looking around.
37:39Let's see who's still in the game.
37:41Blue lights?
37:44There are 10 of you right now.
37:47How many will make it?
37:58Five.
37:58We just lost five of you on that question, which means we have five of you left.
38:04Whoo!
38:07Whoo!
38:09Let's see the answer.
38:1112.
38:12Every other number from 100 down to 13 contains at least two syllables.
38:17Let's take a look at our final prize pot total.
38:21Here it is.
38:22We are at $98,000.
38:25Congratulations to Kurt, Thomas, Amelie, Mark, and Gabe.
38:30You've made it to our final question.
38:31When we return, will any of them make it to the 1% Club?
38:35Find out after the break here on Fox.
38:46Whoo!
38:48From 100 contestants down to you five, you're about to take on the final question of the game.
38:55Get it right, and you could win up to $98,000 and become official members of the 1% Club.
39:01A highly prestigious club that meets every month at a motel by the airport.
39:06First hour of parking is free.
39:09Now it's time for a true dilemma.
39:11It's a new season here on the 1% Club, so to switch things up, we've decided to make your
39:16last chance to walk away a bit more difficult.
39:19We're going to put $10,000 up for grabs.
39:22And all you have to do to get that $10,000 is walk away from the game right now.
39:29Easy money, right?
39:30Wrong.
39:31There is a catch.
39:32If more than one of you decide to leave, you will have to split that $10,000 with anyone else
39:38who decides to walk.
39:39But just like when I proposed to my wife, I'll respect your uncertainty and provide a few seconds to you
39:45to decide.
39:46Go.
39:59They are all staying.
40:00Amelie, Gabe, Kurt, Mark, and Thomas are going to take on the 1% question.
40:06You were willing to forego guaranteed cash for a chance at the...
40:14$98,000 in the prize prize.
40:18Let's go.
40:19Okay.
40:20Here is your 1% question.
40:24Surprisingly, there is only one word in the English language that can be made when you fill in these blanks
40:29so that the Finnish word contains no repeated letters.
40:32What is that word?
40:33Your time starts now.
41:05Time, everybody.
41:06Right now, your answers are locked in,
41:08and you can't change them,
41:10so we might as well ask you what you put.
41:14Kurt, look like you had some struggles
41:16and a lot of spasms after the time finished.
41:20What did you put down?
41:21Uh, you did not enter an answer.
41:23You did not enter an answer.
41:25No answer at all.
41:26We ran out of time, yeah.
41:27All right, so sorry.
41:28Thomas, what did you put?
41:29I also did not enter an answer.
41:31You did not put an answer, okay.
41:33How about you, Amelie? What did you put?
41:36I started to write the word.
41:38I put I, but I didn't get the answer.
41:41Mark, what did you have?
41:43I put unproducible.
41:45You put unproducible down.
41:46Yeah.
41:48Okay, all right.
41:51Gabe, Joel, what did you put down?
41:54Unpredictably.
41:58All right, we've heard everyone's answers.
42:00Now it's time to find out if any of you
42:02are gonna be joining the 1% Club tonight.
42:05All right, let's see what the answer is.
42:11For $98,000, the answer is...
42:20Unpredictably.
42:26Unpredictably is wrong because it repeats the letter E.
42:29It is unpredictably.
42:32Congratulations, Gabe.
42:33You are walking out of here with $98,000,
42:37and you are officially in the 1% Club.
42:41That's it for the 1% Club, but watch next week to see if someone can withstand the pressure
42:46and win up to $100,000 and avoid the temptation to punch me.
42:51Good night, everybody.
42:52Nicely done.
42:55You did it!
42:58$98,000!
42:59Lots of applause!
43:02A real muchas más DLC.
43:08Don't forget to, keep meitiative brothers and others.
43:09Bo Wrong!
43:10You machines.
43:12We have an amazing effort.
