00:12Nwosu's debut feature, Lady, just secured a spot in the panorama section. That's huge.
00:19Nigerian involvement also extends beyond narrative cinema. Crocodile, a documentary
00:25co-directed by a Nigerian collective, will premiere in the forum section. Also
00:31screening in the forum expanded is Karima Ashadu's short documentary Muscle. The film
00:36observes bodybuilders in Lagos focusing on texture, movement, sound and ritual rather
00:43than linear narrative. Plus, Dika Ofoma got into the Balinala Talents program as a
00:50screenwriter and director. And there's more. Other African nations are also competing on the
00:57Golden Bear category. To be clear, these categories aren't mere Tolkien inclusions. This is presence
01:04and Africa is firmly sitting at the table. It's clear there's a massive appetite for stories from
