00:00over this last 12 months some things have changed and some things haven't changed life moves on
00:16another year goes by hey excuse me if anything i feel like it's become more busy and chaotic
00:30duck in a mine shaft oh i think it's really far down i don't think we can reach that the turf has given
00:37away and underneath there is a breather which is a really deep hole that goes into the mine shaft
00:43and now of course there's a lamp around it and it's gone down to the bottom now or never now or
00:49never there's always some drama but everybody has their part to play you've got him got him
00:58got him you've got him get him get him yes clemmy are you all right darling yeah wow he's so dirty
01:07i'll tell you something that is one lucky lamb that is a miracle and that is down to you guys
01:17all yours clive how we're doing all right you're looking rather smart this morning we acquired
01:23auntie john's which was a derelict house in the middle of nowhere it had no roof it's got a roof
01:30now it has windows and so it's slowly coming back to being a house and it's going to be a very lovely
01:35house why do you think that good i mean it's really come on sorry much
01:40it's supposed to be a digging job but mandy shouts loudest so we're here
01:49structurally the end is in sight finally hey another wonderful door but of course this is where the
01:57real work begins that's what color i want it white yeah as well we can dry stone wall and do all of that
02:05her taste in decor can be questionable i'm beginning to start feeling really stressed about
02:12this we're facing day-to-day challenges come on then clemm let's go and have a look if there's any
02:18grass in this field in all of my years here i've never seen this poorer crop i mean times are changing
02:25as the children get older they get more responsibility and they've got more things to do
02:28hand it off to the next generation can i have to say it go on with ravency and auntie johns there's
02:39never going to be a moment of calm oh my goodness what are you doing in the bin i'm embracing it
02:48i have got the transcribed diary of auntie clarkson they were here they were sat here
02:53auntie johns is so much more than a house it's like that idea of a house and a home and there is a
03:01difference that's it ah look at that last it's actually all about the future that is beautiful
03:23so
03:31so
03:37so
03:51I'm coming!
04:04Yep.
04:06It's a big dump.
04:11That's how you do it, girl!
04:13Are you having trouble with your pet lambs? Have they got feed in there?
04:24Yeah, we'll have to. Go and have a little look.
04:28Children are off, and I'm very proud of them,
04:31because they've been part and parcel of lambing time.
04:34There's been many a night when they haven't got to bed till well after bedtime,
04:38and we've been out in the barns just doing things.
04:42You don't have to look so hard to find a job to do.
04:45What's he got?
04:47Wow.
04:48Now, hang on, how are we going to feed that without them putting a foot in it?
04:51Oh, you know what's going to happen.
04:54And it has been pretty intense.
04:56It's been a good lambing time, don't get me wrong.
04:58You know, we've lost very little.
05:00The weather has really helped us along the way.
05:02But it isn't all about just the delivery of the lamb.
05:05It's keeping them going.
05:06Come on, baby.
05:07Come on.
05:08Oh, come on, baby.
05:09You know what'll happen.
05:10Come on.
05:11He's eating.
05:12He's in it.
05:13Have they all got names?
05:14Yeah.
05:15So, Tango, Crispy, Bungie, Elvis, Louie, Maxie, Thunder, Maximus, Bob, Barbie, Red, Ruby, and Milo.
05:34That's amazing.
05:35I tell you what, you have reeled off their names better than I've reeled off all your
05:39guys' names.
05:40We call the pet lambs pet lambs because when they were born, the mothers couldn't look
05:47after them or the lambs were ill and they couldn't go with their mums.
05:52So, we kept them in the pens.
05:53We raised them until they're ready to eat grass and we can let them back up to the moors.
05:59This one is Bungie.
06:00He is like the baby in the pack.
06:03Is that the one that couldn't stand up?
06:05Or is that the other one?
06:06No.
06:07Yeah.
06:08He has joint infection.
06:09Look how he walks.
06:13We have 13 pet lambs and probably the biggest one is Crispy.
06:19Also, Crispy was the first pet lamb we got and ever since he has been loving, he has preferred
06:26probably being a pet lamb because he loves how he's made some new friends and that he's
06:33in a good place and he's not outside in a field where it's raining.
06:38This week, well, we found out we have some peacock eggs.
06:55We found them on top of the hay bales.
06:58Five big eggs!
07:01I think some of them will hatch.
07:03I think we want a boy because they're the most fancy and cool and their feathers are
07:08really nice.
07:30Something for Ruben to wit when he's clearing all this out.
07:33Great.
07:34That's the oil boiling place.
07:38Hell, my back felt that.
07:43I tell you, just even watching it.
07:45We've got it to a nice stage now.
07:46We've pretty much got First Fix electrics in.
07:58We're on First Fix plumbing.
07:59All that's in.
08:00We've managed to get all the floors down everywhere.
08:05So all we really have less to do is the plaster in and then the floorboards and things in there.
08:18There's no more satisfying than sweeping a room, is there, and seeing the mess what you get.
08:33And you think, where the hell did all that come from?
08:36Just on the bottom of people's boots.
08:39This is very much the reason why we want to protect it.
08:42We're having to bring water from down our house in barrels just because there's nothing in the streams.
08:55Well, we're trying to get a bit of water out at Beck like that.
09:12No, she's been fairly dry for Swaledale up here.
09:15We've probably had one shower in the last three months.
09:17That's about it, really.
09:19February, what, last time we probably had a little shower and we had very little in February, to be honest.
09:24When you think in January we're in snow, snow like this, and then after that snow, this will just mud.
09:30Just like that.
09:31Absolutely sopping everywhere.
09:34So we're trying to make cement with wetter.
09:36What?
09:37She's fairly brown.
09:38I've only got three tadpoles in that one.
09:45So, we have to pour out.
09:46Oh no, I've lost the bugger.
09:51You see now, we're saving lives at sea.
09:53This is saving lives in Swaledale.
10:04Oh, come on.
10:25Well, that's another lamb in time, Dawn.
10:29These lambs are the last of the last.
10:32All the lambs have gone back to the moo now.
10:35The mothers.
10:36These are like later born lambs, the youngest lambs, so they've almost all gone now.
10:42Yeah.
10:43Go on.
10:47There.
10:53You all right, Willie?
10:54Yes, sir.
10:57Today's about basically taking the yows with the single lambs
11:01back to the moor.
11:04And, you know, they have all the space to roam free and basically forget about bags of feed,
11:10forget about being shepherded and just basically be a sheep and do their own thing.
11:15I always think it's probably their best time.
11:26You know, to take them up the hill, up, up and away, it's just, it's a joy really.
11:32Because it's, it kind of says like job done.
11:34You know, lambing time over, lambs marked up and away they go.
11:39The weather's been very kind and that's been good for both sheep and men.
11:48Better than wind and rain every day.
11:52Easily wet and cold, but anyway, we're dry and hot.
11:53I've just read on my phone that it's the dry spring since records began.
12:02We just need some rain now and some grass to grow.
12:03You know, we're going to think about growing some hay now.
12:04And the next step in the process.
12:05As usual, it's a race against time to get the next bit done.
12:06Just to keep in front.
12:07As one job finishes and another begins.
12:19So, as usual, it's a race against time to get the next bit done, just to keep in front.
12:29to get the next bit done, just to keep in front.
12:33As one job finishes, another begins,
12:36so that's what we need to happen now.
12:40I'm sure it will. It always does.
12:53I'll undo it by myself.
12:55Come here? Yeah.
12:58Perfect.
12:59Go on. Scoot.
13:03Oh, look at that.
13:07That's them.
13:08That's them.
13:09Oh, my God.
13:39Well you're doing a good job here David Hammond. All this can go, all this soil here, roll
13:48this here. All right? Yeah? Good stuff, good stuff. The kitchen's always been a little
13:58sticking point. It's got to the head really because the electrician wants to come in here
14:06and start putting the electrics in. So Amanda has to make some decisions of what's going
14:12to go where. Because if the electrician can't put it in, we can't come in and plaster, the
14:19job will stop if we don't get these decisions. I've got like a dresser that's really nice
14:29to go in here. So if you've got a Welsh dresser and say it comes out 600, you could do with
14:34your light up here what shines onto your dresser. I like the idea of having a choice. I don't
14:40like light on, light off. So if I do like the kitchen area on one switch, above the lamp,
14:45above that area on another switch, the table lamp on another switch has three switches.
14:49Is that OK? Yeah. And then up there, a separate one after that. I hope you're writing this
14:54down. In a way I have to pinch myself to think that I'm actually at this place because although
15:00I'm excited about it and although I'm pleased, I'm also slightly stressed about it because
15:04I've got JD, the electrician there at the moment, who's asking me all kinds of things
15:07about where I want sockets. So it feels like the onus has rather changed.
15:11What are you going to do between this space here, where your sink is, and what are you going
15:18to do with this? I don't know yet. As long as it's things that don't really require too
15:22much of an answer, you know. Roofs, windows, doors are not really sort of optional. You're
15:27having them, aren't you? Whereas things like where do you think you might want to plug this
15:31in or where do you want to plug that in? I have no clue. Can't remember. It was here
15:37is where we'd planned it. I don't know. I'm beginning to start feeling really stressed
15:43about this. I don't want to sort of like be throwing sort of impossible sort of ideas
15:49around. I mean, the whole project looked impossible from a start off, so I figure I've done well.
15:54I'm not going to push my luck, am I? Arga. There. There. Central to that space, Arga.
16:00Yes. Yes. And then you'd be having an extractor hood or just a fan. It depends on what you
16:05want, man, really. I keep kind of throwing it back to them. I say, well, what would you
16:11do? What do you think? And then if it sounds feasible and doable and achievable and it'll
16:16work, then that's where it's at. At this very moment in time, yes, I can see this place
16:23coming on and it's all moving forward. But do you know what? I still, in a way, can't
16:27visualise the space. Mm-hmm. Do you know? I know. I'm sorry. Dearing me.
16:35You can't have me and her together with axes. You know. Get off. The hand's going to fall
16:52off it. Come here. Move your hand. No, no, it's a goal. Perfect harmony. It's like synchronised
16:59axe-wielding. Here we are. This'll keep the home fires burning. Ready? Right, come on,
17:19give us that. Did I miss the booger? No. Me and Clive and the dynamics are forever changing.
17:25It's not the best axe in the world, is it? Life moves on. Another year goes by. I'm getting
17:31it light. Right, thank you. We're still sort of making it up as we go along. Life is what
17:37it is. Relationships come and go. Sometimes you're lucky and you stay with the same person
17:43for all of your life. No, don't touch it. And sometimes that doesn't happen. And I have
17:49no regrets. Yeah, I've got no regrets. Come on. People have had this massive thing about
18:01me and Amanda getting back together. Well, you know, we've been there, done that. That isn't
18:06happening. I don't want to be so big. It's not like a backseat driver. Folk do change and
18:14I mean, that's partly why we're not together anymore. We're different ages for a start and
18:19that, as a role play, seemed a good idea at times. It's that thing, isn't it? Life goes
18:25on and sadly it didn't work out for me and her. Hang on. Stop. Don't leave it there. But
18:32that isn't the end. She's just a young woman and I'm sure, you know, along the way, she'll
18:37maybe find some water and good luck to her. That's going to sharpen the booker. I'm still
18:45here to tell the tale. I'm coming up to 70. I'm still fairly healthy, I hope. And so you
18:51just have to count your blessings and settle for that, I think. Are you happy with that one
18:56like that? But it won't spitting again now. You know, I think there comes a point,
19:02where either you pull together or you pull apart. And we pulled apart.
19:17But the one thing that does bind us is obviously a whole squadron of children and an absolute
19:23work that needs doing. That was amazing! It's a strange thing, really. I mean, we've
19:30just had to make it work, haven't we? Because with all these kids, with nine kids, we couldn't
19:35just pack your bags and leave. You can't. And so we've had to make that as it is. You know,
19:42because kids are the most important thing, obviously. And I think they're absolutely fine.
19:49What are we getting there? We have been together a long time and we do know each other well
19:59and our failings and weaknesses. Oh! If you can just hold it, it's just a bit unbalanced.
20:11Give that a go. I think it'll go. Our relationship has always been tempestuous because the kind
20:18of life that we live lends itself to chaos. But if, really speaking, you're looking for
20:25somebody who has got your back, then I'm always going to look to Clive for that.
20:31We'll make it do, eh? Now like a log, they warm you twice.
21:01WE'RE AT THAT STAGE NOW, THE ONE WE HAVE ALL FOOD
21:26We're at that stage now, the one we've all been waiting for, talking about for the last
21:34year, actually plastering.
21:39We're putting the insulating coats on to hopefully make it a little bit more of a desirable spot
21:45to live in.
21:48There was a reason why people haven't lived here for 100 years.
21:52It's on top of a hill, it would have been bloody cold, it would have been damp, and it would
21:56have been horrible, to be quite honest with you.
21:59So what we've got to try and do is make it a little bit more hospitable.
22:06What are you doing?
22:07I'm making a mix-up for you, Cap.
22:09Oh, we should hurry up, we're waiting in there.
22:11Basically got a little bit of a production line going, where we're putting all the lime
22:26plaster onto the walls as quick as we can.
22:32It's the first time I've ever used it.
22:35It's a bit of a new experience for them.
22:43The lime itself comes in a bit of a granular form, and this is quick lime.
22:48But the insulating properties is something called perlite, and it's extremely, extremely light.
22:57Also, what we're putting in there is hemp.
23:00The hemp's sole purpose is to tie everything together, and it's what holds the plaster onto
23:06the wall.
23:07And what we create is a really light lime plaster.
23:11It's as hot as porridge, you can see it's steam coming off it.
23:18It'll be like a sauna in here shortly, because the walls just radiate heat.
23:36Helps as well.
23:37I think it'll take somewhere around about 10 days to dry, and then what we'll do is we'll
23:46come back and basically put another 25 millimetres on top of it, so we'll end up with a two-inch
23:53thick lime plaster with all these wonderful insulating properties.
23:58Then we're going to put two skim coats on top of that, and that'll be the finishing coat.
24:03So we've got a lot of work to do here.
24:07How we doing?
24:23We've been busy this morning, Richard.
24:24Look at what I've made you.
24:26Handcrafted by my own fair hands.
24:29Now I am impressed.
24:31Well, I'm lying, I'm afraid.
24:32But it is...
24:34I'm quite aware you're lying.
24:35Oh, no, where was it?
24:36Yeah, two door frames.
24:38Two internal door frames.
24:39OK?
24:40Excellent.
24:41So that's good.
24:42That'll keep me going with this plaster work.
24:46OK.
24:48Well, do you want to take that one?
24:50I'll take that one, you bring the other one.
24:51You could have cleaned the trailer out.
24:58Get on.
25:02Bigger than I thought.
25:08How are you doing, Ken?
25:10Hi.
25:11You all right?
25:11Getting through some water.
25:13Going well.
25:13We're going with about a cube a day, which is a thousand litres.
25:17Who'd have thought there'd have been a time when we were lacking in water here?
25:21Bringing water down to Joe.
25:22I know, it's crazy, isn't it?
25:28This project, it's like more than just a building project.
25:31It's like a history project.
25:33It's like a heritage project.
25:36It's like a community project, I suppose, in a way.
25:40Look at all these people that are here now and that are a part of this.
25:47We've got Ken.
25:49His family has been in Swarledale forever.
25:58My grandparents, my mother's mother and father,
26:01were probably 19, 22 or 3,
26:03that had their wedding reception here, a little barn dance.
26:06Obviously, locals would put some food on for them.
26:09Local musicians, and they physically had their wedding reception here.
26:13Oh, my goodness, I love that idea.
26:15There was a wedding here, and a proper knees up.
26:18That's where they thought, obviously,
26:19which it would be a lovely place, wouldn't it, obviously?
26:22Quite interesting for me, thinking, you know,
26:24my grandparents set off their married life here.
26:28If the waltz could only talk.
26:30Yeah, I feel like that's part of the reason why it's so important
26:34that we keep the stories and the history
26:36and the heritage of these places alive and going.
26:40Exactly.
26:40And the younger generation aren't interested,
26:42but as you get older, you start to get more interested.
26:45What, you mean, this is a sign of me getting old?
26:47No, no, no.
26:49Well, we're all getting older, I'm afraid, aren't we?
26:51I still can't believe how it feels like all roads lead
27:02to the top end of the dale, to Ravensea, to Auntie John's.
27:06It was already just a barn, but it was a functional building.
27:11You know, there was parties going on.
27:14It's kind of like the equivalent of a 90s rave scene, isn't it?
27:17You know, where everybody'd head off to some random place
27:19out in the countryside, party on until the police got called.
27:22Same kind of thing.
27:24And I kind of love that.
27:26I mean, you know, there's two
27:38ー
27:40What are you doing?
27:42I do actually know what this is because Derek has been working hard transcribing Anthony's
28:07diary look at all this oh my goodness ever since we are set out by Auntie John's one thing that had
28:16fascinated me was its backstory its history we knew that there was diaries written by Anthony
28:23Clarkson a way back when he was living there in the 1820s so with the help of my friend Derek who's
28:32also a historian it's well trod past Derek yeah we've actually managed to track down one of those
28:39original diaries is this what I think it is this is Anthony Clarkson's original diary I can't believe
28:49I've got my hands on that there are certain facts that we do know about Anthony Clarkson we know that
28:56he was working as a schoolmaster that he actually left the area and we know that when his father
29:02died that was kind of an everything changed and he came back into Swaledale and started work on the
29:10what what is now called Auntie John's after him of course hi mom I got you a tea oh thank you lovely
29:22this transcription of the diary is just absolutely fascinating because the diary of course is written
29:29by Anthony Clarkson and Mally were real name was Mary yeah it was sort of her her nickname was basically
29:38the girl next door mm-hmm she lives at close hills she's born at close hills but her parents died when
29:43she's 15 right and she comes here and basically she works as a servant in the house and that's the
29:52thing because you never think of houses like these as having servants to you know 31st of December 1817
30:00Mally danced had Mally for a sweetheart yuck I think he got lucky yeah yeah there you go third of January
30:13things progress quickly Mally and I sit up till four o'clock sweethearting yeah well I think that's a nice
30:22way of putting it that's nice it's better than getting it on in it getting jiggy yeah imagine if
30:28you'd put that yeah yeah he writes so fondly about her and I don't know it's a bit of it's a bit of a
30:35love story hmm anyway right well you carry on and I suppose I'd better get on with being Mally
30:42I'm not stoking the fire up making tea and looking after it burns I absolutely know where close hills
30:52is because he's exactly halfway between Raven seat and Auntie John's so that is basically Mally's house
31:02it's now just an abandoned barn it's still got the fireplace in and still got the outdoor staircase
31:08she literally was like his next-door neighbour it was like the girl next door where are we
31:17heading what is Mally's house close hills okay Nancy and Clem they want to take me up to close
31:25hills which is a barn and yeah they want to tell me all about that so that's exciting
31:29this is Mally's house where she lives this is Mally's house yeah oh this is a
31:59lovely doorway isn't it mm-hmm so homely in here you see that there's always here as well look
32:08it's pretty fascinating when you think about me growing up here and her growing up five minutes
32:18across the hill 200 years ago and the differences in our lives yeah that could have been the chimney
32:25what do you think's going on here maybe like a little do you think another fireplace if that was
32:31also got a fire in it hmm might be something else it could be like a storage cupboard maybe yeah it could
32:37be it's pretty insane to think about like the opportunities that I have now compared to back
32:43then and then you think about mum being 21 when she met dad and came up here and how old she was when
32:50she had me and it's just interesting to think about that it does boggle your mind a little bit when you
32:56think about it wait so how long were you an only child three of the best years of my life it would
33:04have been the good days it would have been the good days back in those days yeah you get to eat chocolate
33:08whatever you want have chocolate milk go to bed late they actually cared about you that time
33:14come on
33:16okay 5th of july 1818 went to electoral meeting at appleby drank a lot next day not very well at raven seat
33:36oh i love that the next day he's got the hangover from hell right here it probably threw up in the
33:46coal bucket i mean who knows and i bet you any money mallie was like giving him a bit of earache about
33:53this
33:55actually discover that he was literally here sat by the fireplace actually it just takes my breath away to think about that
34:05they were here they were sat here
34:07oh yeah it's great i can honestly i can't believe we're so fortunate to have this and to have it
34:16whereby it ties into the place that that now we can call our own i just feel like this heritage i just
34:23want to be able to celebrate it and carry it on really
34:40yeah she's a touch higher at that side isn't she
34:43so the problem with these uh sort of flags
34:49we've got dan he's come this morning started fitting door frame so far so good
34:57not a million miles away dan is basically a bespoke joiner
35:02who makes windows makes doors it makes all sorts of things does dan so we've got six foot here
35:07yeah yeah yeah
35:16three eights different
35:21so we've got all the doors we've been making them in the workshop and today hopefully they're all gonna
35:26fit it's roughly about a week a door from that's from the the rough sawn timber right through to
35:33making the pin bead boards and all the different bits with them jeez oh just a little bit there
35:41on this and here probably just want to allow a bit off there we give us half an inch there won't it
35:48barns don't have square openings they're a challenge they're old heads and sills they can
35:53sometimes be quite a way out of level but we'll get it done
35:56well i just play a bit of topic now playing a bit top yeah well i too yeah
36:06if you put the door in level sometimes that doesn't look right with the old stone mullions
36:10so you've got to just tweak them a little bit to to get them to to look right as well
36:18all yours
36:19you seem to have the magic touch getting the doors in it it'll make the building sealed up then and
36:26watertight
36:30morning how we doing clive how we doing all right you're looking rather smart this morning the fresh air
36:38well it's nice to see the doors going on in it isn't it grand to see
36:43sealed up yeah exactly yeah exactly yeah yeah it's a big step in it you get that final look about it
36:50then it's lovely though it's gonna last a long time and long long time yeah long
36:54so you're not gonna have to worry about the lifetime guarantee oh there you are there you are
37:00there you are but only dan's lifetime
37:12looking good move that out of the way shut that door see if it fits
37:20perfect too beautiful absolutely perfect now how do we get out
37:26i am just bringing treats listen
37:37all right that's what it'll sound like
37:40sausage roll help yourself and there's some cake in here as well how's it going good things things are
37:46fitting yeah things are fitting they look they look um they look amazing i mean honestly just made to
37:54measure bespoke please tell me though that at no point is it actually going to swell and get stuck
38:00and i'm going to end up kicking it i hope not very much you'll hear about it won't you huh
38:06you can see that the sort of time and effort that you're putting into to getting these right it's
38:11it's really appreciated you know i said i've got a new appreciation for the little things the little
38:18things that you never consider a door is a door until you actually see what goes into
38:32this is what happens there's always something can go wrong and it usually does and if all else fails
38:59does a puncture yeah you can stop it
39:14yeah come on
39:15that is so cute dan doesn't go anywhere without his line-up of chicks do you dan huh
39:36come on help with these tools look dan's struggling here right get it on the back yeah
39:46grinder grinder thank you
39:56there we go i think we're good
39:58today we've got dan to put the final exterior door in and the last window
40:11i mean the children were up early this morning because they knew dan was coming so they were up
40:15and about in the kitchen making sandwiches and filling up flasks and bits and pieces
40:20after them it's almost like a a day out that's not a day out a day out at home
40:30yesterday the children were on shearing today they're on building work you know it keeps it
40:34interesting there is no such thing as a typical day that's the point that's what keeps it exciting
40:50here we go perfect
40:56this is such a good door
41:00dan i think you've forgotten the cat flap a cat flap yeah and a mailbox
41:05a mailbox yeah no you can't have a cat flap in the door like that
41:12i'm so looking forward to a point when i can start
41:16henry hoovering all the dust and bits up
41:20thank you very much what flavor cake are we on i think it's been
41:23no no it'll be nice to actually be able to shut up shop and keep all the weather and wind out yeah
41:34hopefully it fits i bet you have never gone to a place and it hasn't fitted if you've
41:39taken the measurements yeah that's the worry there's always a first isn't that
41:47yeah can you imagine that is just not what you need no what is the little saying what is it measure
41:53twice cut once yeah that's what they say yeah look at that you're not gonna snap that
42:01i just really like the way that the windows and the doors look and i also like how this is like
42:17a unique house because some of the walls are curvy here we have a lot of fact about the old
42:26people who lived here in the old times anthony clarkson every day he would get up and he would
42:35start looking after his animals and we're making his history keep him going because we are building up
42:43his house sometimes when the fireplace is cold it's quite yeah it won't be cold now what sort of
42:53sound have you got sorted let's hope there's enough for seconds because it's good yeah
42:59anthony clarkson if he heard us or saw us he would be very glad his house has been builded back up
43:08you're not letting this house just be abandoned and you and you're not letting this history just not
43:15go on we're making this history bigger and someday this house will own to someone else and they will
43:23build it up to see where we've got to now from where we began it's amazing you know i mean from
43:33setting off to not even having a roof to now basically be able to shut all the doors it's incredible
43:43you know nothing is of standard size here everything is made to fit and he's done such a good job
43:51you know to see someone literally working to a millimeter is a bit of a perfectionist
43:58that is a good guy to have on the job you know the kids have really enjoyed him being here as well and
44:07i've been asking him questions because he's obviously very passionate about what he does
44:12and you know he's made some very substantial doors that are in keeping with the property
44:17but also using modern glazing methods has made it that basically they're well insulated as well to keep us
44:23warm in there
44:31and my favorite suite is the gummy bears
44:39there you are sounding good looks good looks great it fit that looks absolutely fantastic you
44:46know it looks like a door that means business
44:58we finally have a watertight weatherproof house
45:04let's go
45:08you know the last door the last window which means that basically i can shut up shop now
45:16we can shut the world out we can shut the children out or in we can shut people out animals out
45:25now we can be inside like properly inside we don't have to have a flipping game blowing through the
45:31place that is tremendous and hopefully that should mean that we can get that plaster drying that little
45:38bit quicker as well it is getting exciting because you're actually getting to see it become a home
45:47i still pinch myself i can't believe we're at this place heavy boxes these aren't they yeah
45:55there's still a lot to do believe me the end is not even in sight it's just
46:01i guess the focus changes more yeah it's exciting very exciting and on that note
46:09i must remember now to lock the door so i dare say the next thing will be i'll lose the keys probably
46:23so
46:32so
