05:52so that's a good chance for them to experience church
05:55yeah there's only one little fly in the ointment and it's he's there isn't it yes it is a bit
06:01off-putting she wasn't very pleased to see me at the door was she afraid not no she's she
06:06does welcome guests some parade we had a couple last week who came to see me about a funeral and
06:10uh I had to reassure them there's no way the dog was going to get to them and you know don't panic
06:15so it's a problem in the church there's a problem when you're back here at home as well
06:18yes I mean she's nervous we're our third owners uh the first owner wasn't particularly kind to her
06:25to say the least all right a first owner used her for backyard breeding um so no real sort of love
06:32and affection or any of that so rest you dog very much yeah and is there anything that you do that
06:39makes it better do you think putting her upside down you grab her and you tip her upside down and
06:43then she's just like right there's a very good reason why delilah is acting the way she is she
06:51is nervous and scared and that's because uh first owners were breeders who just had her as a breeding
06:57machine and she had a really good reason to be scared of anybody she didn't know and also a
07:03congregation but i've been group of strangers to her terrifying coming up a retirement i broke my hand
07:17and i've broken ribs stuck in the trenches it's so sad i don't get to enjoy it with my best friend an
07:25awkward habit i was just wondering if you had any advice on it's doing it now and can graham just about

09:25lila is anxious really nervous she doesn't like strangers sees them as dangerous i suppose and we're
09:31going to get her over that we're going to get used to understanding that actually people are fine
09:35how do we do that bit by bit i don't want to drop her in the deep end by trying to do some training
09:40with a full congregation of people in there let's introduce them bit by bit one at a time to teach
09:45lila that only when she lets parishioners into her life yay will she receive the love she craves
09:55graham's brought her to church so here's my plan i've got a whole lot of your congregation around the

16:37on social media so it is important to have more vets spreading the correct evidence-based advice to
16:43help our pet owners this is tank he's got a bit of an embarrassing problem me um okay so essentially tank
16:51likes to fiddle and rub his boy parts okay now my issue is is he doing it for attention or has he got
17:01an infection i've got a few videos oh yeah right oh bless him the first thing to rule out check your
17:11paws good boy is infection it can be normal for dogs to have a bit of discharge so just retract the sheave
17:20and in both male and female dogs good boy discolored nasal eye and genital discharge discharge is quite
17:30greenish can provide vital clues if it's yellowish milky color it can be normal but this just gives
17:37off a little bit of green that's not good is it this could be normal for him okay but the only way to
17:43know um is to send it off to the lab to see if it's an actual infection i would also advise to start on a
17:51course of anti-inflammatories okay waiting for the results to see if we need any antibiotics basically okay
17:57so maybe he's not just an attention seeker difficult to say because him messing with it
18:04can also lead to an infection so did the inflammation cause him to be scratching it or did
18:09the scratching cause the information we don't know okay right but we do know we can treat it yes we do

23:36because he could smell something different going on inside and then what happened when you got out and
23:41about with him again that was it suddenly he was reactive and he'd never been reactive i really
23:47believe that he's protecting me i think he's decided that i've got to protect my dad because he's not
23:54well you've got to feel for peace haven't you i mean a whole lifetime given over to public service
24:01and then he retires and thinks all right well you know i'll have a dog as a companion and then
24:06but the dreams turned into a nightmare hasn't it i'm not going to show you it's dangerous every

31:41in the right way because one bad bathing experience can leave them with serious anxieties for the rest of
31:46their life you could end up with a dog who's afraid of water or even being touched and you can see how
31:53that would have really big impact on everyday life to learn the correct way to wash a dog graham's headed

32:31that's my expertise then so we're keeping his hair long yes no pressure costing but the other thing
32:37about rafa is we call it velcro fur okay so whenever we go on a walk he attracts the leaves roger just
32:45falls off him nothing touches him it's because the longer is the hair the more static creates it's

32:56recommend to be bath once a week and so wait should we get washing dogs

34:18conditioner or any shampoo they can have skin problems prevents products from irritating their skin so what
34:25you do you hold it like a pen and what i do i got you see so i don't splash the water and over with
34:32this and i scrub everything everything everything everything to keep them zen this is like my first
34:38towel that i'm going to use a correctly applied chamois speeds drying you don't rub your pads i never do
34:46this to the dog because i think it's the worst thing to do the dog because it's going to come really
34:51mapping and then we're going to use a micro towel because of their sensitive hearing the worst part
34:59of dogs is when you dry them blow drying can be where it all goes wrong right so we're going to give
35:05one to malcolm yeah thank you to muffle the dryer's din make sure the ear canal is covered use an ear snood
35:12perfect good boy which also helps them feel safer the feel of cuddle it's very factory you look very nice
35:22a slow and steady technique good boy will help avoid tangles so the idea is to not do this
