00:00On Ask This Old House, our experts travel across the country to answer questions about your house.
00:17Today, Mauro is talking paint spills and how to clean them.
00:21Whoa! Like a day.
00:23I might not even put a drop clock down that came off so easily.
00:26Then, Heath gives a lesson on how three-way switches work.
00:31What do I screw into what?
00:33It looks confusing, but let me try and make it as simple as possible.
00:36And Nathan and Lee team up to bring some curb appeal to a homeowner's front yard.
00:41Less talky, more worky.
00:43On Ask This Old House.
00:49Hey Mauro. Kevin. How are you? I'm doing all right.
00:52All right.
00:53Somebody spilled some paint. Already.
00:55You don't spill paint, do you?
00:57Sometimes a little drop in there, but you know, when that happens, I try to clean it right away.
01:02Okay.
01:03All right.
01:04So we have here some rugs, we have some hardwood floors, and we have tiles.
01:07All right. So I presume there's a technique for each?
01:10There is. So we start with the rug.
01:12Okay, let's put the little paint on this rug.
01:15You're just putting it in there.
01:16Yeah, I hope the homeowner don't see it.
01:18Seeing you do that, Mauro, makes the hair on my neck go up.
01:22Don't worry about it. I got the solution for that.
01:25Okay, what do you got?
01:26I got warm water and soap.
01:28Just some regular detergent, so?
01:30Just a lot of detergent. Just a regular one.
01:31Okay.
01:32So go in there and tack right on it.
01:34But the key, Kevin, is like no wait.
01:37As soon as you see the paint on the carpet, remove it right away.
01:41Can I see that rag?
01:43So you know if the paint's on the rag, it's coming off of the carpet.
01:46That's a good result.
01:47I'm going to wet my rag again.
01:50Holy smokes.
01:51On a clean spot.
01:52Go right back to the green rag.
01:54So is this process basically just, you know, wet, dab, rinse, repeat?
02:00Exactly.
02:01And keep going?
02:02Well, keep going. Once it's dry, it's going to be much harder to remove it.
02:04Once the paint is dry.
02:05Yes.
02:06So, you know, the green is gone. Mostly gone. I mean, gone to me. I'm color blind.
02:11But the carpet is still wet. Not wet paint, but water wet.
02:13Water wet.
02:14Wet to the touch.
02:15Okay. So when it's still wet, you know what I do?
02:18I got one of this guy here.
02:20Get a little wet dry vac there.
02:21Yeah.
02:22Turn it on and we're going to remove all the remaining green there and the water with it.
02:27All right.
02:36So the proficiency with which you did that, Mauro, confirms that you've done that before.
02:47A few times. I'm not going to lie. A few times, yes.
02:51That's impressive, though, because I would have thought the carpet was toast.
02:54Hardwood floors. Now, I've got to assume that if you've got a hardwood floor, it's going to be a lot easier if you get after it quickly.
03:03If you get out of this quickly, this is going to have a good result.
03:07Once again, new rag.
03:09So same bucket of warm water.
03:10Same bucket of warm water.
03:13Go right to it.
03:16Oh, yeah.
03:18No excuse.
03:19No.
03:20All gone.
03:21So good again.
03:22No damage to the finish at all.
03:24No damage to the finish at all.
03:25All the paints right there.
03:26Beautiful.
03:28All right.
03:29That doesn't surprise me, but I'm glad that you brought this here, because this is what I'm thinking.
03:32A little spot.
03:33I've missed it.
03:34It's set up.
03:35So what are you going to do in this situation?
03:37All right.
03:38First, what I like to do is get my vinegar and baking soda.
03:42So you made a little mix.
03:43A little mix.
03:44We're going to spray a little bit on, and we're going to try it.
03:50Sometimes it works.
03:51Sometimes we'll have to go a different way.
03:53You know you're saving marriages all over the country, pal, right?
03:56Oh, yeah.
03:57That takes some off.
04:01I'm still in a doghouse, Mauro, if I leave it like that.
04:05So help me out.
04:06All right.
04:07What's your next step?
04:08Next step.
04:09We're going to use the denatured alcohol.
04:11Denatured alcohol.
04:12Denatured alcohol.
04:13I'm going to open this up.
04:15There you go.
04:16Like that.
04:17We're going to wet rag again, just like that.
04:30And this should take care of that a little faster than the other one.
04:34Oh, yeah.
04:35That's definitely getting it, right?
04:36Daddy's eating a home-cooked meal tonight.
04:38There we go.
04:39Love it.
04:40All right.
04:41I know you could take that the entire way, but you've demonstrated that it's definitely coming off.
04:46And as I look at that, the sheen of the finish is still there.
04:49Exactly.
04:50This is what the nature of alcohol would do it.
04:52Nice, gentle remove the paint without disturbing the finish on the wood.
04:55So this is great.
04:57I noticed that you've got a premium stripper right here.
05:01Is this the next thing you go to if that doesn't work, or is this verboten?
05:06One thing.
05:07When you use the stripper, not only he would take the paint, but he would take the finish from the hardwood floor.
05:12They all come together.
05:13So...
05:14No, no.
05:15That's a no-no.
05:16That's a no-no.
05:17That's a no-no.
05:18Too far.
05:19Too far.
05:20Okay.
05:21So third example is tile.
05:22We've got to lay down right here.
05:24I'm presuming, given this type of material, that if it's wet paint, it's going to clean up just as quickly.
05:29Just as quickly.
05:30Yeah.
05:31What about if it's dry?
05:32And I appreciate you bringing us one here where this is also not tacky and dried.
05:35How would you start on that?
05:36What I would do, I would go with the nature alcohol.
05:42Oh.
05:43Look at that.
05:44Look at that.
05:45I might not even put a drop cloth down that came off so easily.
05:49Perfectly clean.
05:50Nice and clean.
05:51And this is actually a tile with a printed pattern on top, and you didn't take any of the printing off either.
05:57Not even that.
05:58So what I'm hearing is speed is your first best friend.
06:02See something, do something.
06:03That's it.
06:04Cleans right away.
06:05You avoid a lot of headaches.
06:06Don't do it right away.
06:07You're going to have a problem with the carpet, but at least you've given us a solution on the other materials.
06:11Absolutely.
06:12Looks nice and clean.
06:13Paint off.
06:14Look like new again.
06:15Love it.
06:16Thank you, Mauro.
06:23Wow, Heath, you've been busy.
06:24Look at this mock up.
06:25Got a new hobby, Kevin.
06:26I guess.
06:27You need better hobbies, but no, this is good.
06:29So here's how it kind of started.
06:31I wanted to do a cutaway because I see Richard doing them all the time, showing tanks and everything.
06:34It makes it really easy to explain things.
06:36So I wanted to kind of explain how three-way switching works when you have multiple switches, locations to control lights or whatever else.
06:42And I've been trying to cut one open to show the internals of it.
06:45It blows apart every time.
06:46I get springs going every which way.
06:47I just couldn't make it happen, so I built one instead.
06:50Richard's cutaway career is safe.
06:52You're coming at him with an internal mock up.
06:54I'm coming at him with this.
06:55Okay.
06:56So we're talking three-way switches.
06:58Yep.
06:59Which, I'll be honest, as you know, I've called you on this many times.
07:01It confuses me, and I think it confuses a lot of people.
07:03A lot of people.
07:04It can be very confusing until you understand how they operate them.
07:06Once you get that, it's usually fairly simple.
07:07So how does a basic circuit work if we're just talking about a single switch?
07:11So to keep it simple, what we typically have is we'd have a two-wire and a two-wire.
07:16Yeah.
07:17Our feed and our neutral, and a two-wire going out.
07:19And when you say feed and neutral, just for my purposes, in this case, the white is the neutral, the black is the feed.
07:24Exactly.
07:25So we'd have power in, and then when you close the switch, power back out to whatever you're controlling.
07:30Let's say, in this case, it's a light fixture.
07:31So the neutral would be made.
07:33This would be open with the switch.
07:35You'd close the switch.
07:36Those would touch.
07:37You open the switch.
07:38It opens.
07:39Okay.
07:40And if we have two wires, then we need a switch, a simple switch.
07:43A single switch.
07:44So a toggle switch like this.
07:46Yep.
07:47Two wires means only two screws.
07:49Correct.
07:50Ignoring the ground.
07:51Ignoring the ground for now.
07:52We're just talking about the circuit itself.
07:53So a black wire there, a black wire there.
07:54It's simply open and closed, open and closed.
07:56Perfect.
07:57So if this were just a simple switch right here, it's very straightforward, right?
08:02Yep.
08:03We have our white wire, our neutral, going all the way to the light fixture.
08:05Then we have our black wire coming through, carrying over.
08:08And then if I turn the switch on.
08:09Carrying over.
08:10Goes to the light.
08:11You can see it's a complete circuit.
08:12And so we always have to have that circuit coming in, coming back.
08:15So if I turn it off, it just breaks it.
08:17Just breaks it.
08:18That simple.
08:19It's just that one switch, on, off, on, off.
08:20Okay.
08:21In a three-way situation, we all know, we now have two switches.
08:24One when you get in the room, one when you leave the room, we'll say it.
08:26Yep.
08:27So that you can control from either side.
08:28So with that, we just need a couple of different things.
08:30The first thing is, we now need a piece of three wire going between instead of two wire.
08:34Okay.
08:35So now we've got the traditional white, the black, but we've got the extra red.
08:39Correct.
08:40And you said we need a new switch, which means instead of a switch with the two screws.
08:45Switch with three screws.
08:46So the two brass, and in this case, a black.
08:48Right.
08:49Okay.
08:50And here's the hard part.
08:51This is what I always call you on.
08:53What do I screw into what?
08:54It looks confusing, but let me try and make it as simple as possible.
08:57The easiest way for me to do this, and this can be done multiple ways.
09:00I always take the black and the red, and I always treat these as my travelers.
09:03They're going between the two switches.
09:05Those are going to our two brass screws.
09:07Mm-hmm.
09:08But we have a different colored screw in this case.
09:10That's black.
09:11That's our common screw.
09:12So similar screws are always the travelers?
09:14Correct.
09:15And the oddball's always the common?
09:16It is.
09:17Picture it just like a little flapper going between.
09:19So this common screw is our base point.
09:20It just goes back and forth between those two terminals.
09:23Connecting this to there, or this to there.
09:25Exactly.
09:26In this case, we're going to have two commons, one on each side.
09:29One's going to be our feed in, our power, and one's going to be the load out to the light.
09:34So let's just look at what you've already wired.
09:36Yep.
09:37Here's our three wire, a three conductor in the middle.
09:40And if I turn this around, you've taken the black and the red,
09:46and immediately put it on the two similar screws, in this case the brass screws.
09:50Correct.
09:51Now we know those are out of the way.
09:52Okay.
09:53And then you're taking the other wire.
09:56Correct.
09:57In this case, up to the light.
09:58Yep.
09:59Or in that case, back to power.
10:00And not breaking the neutrin, which is why it just wire nuts.
10:02So you've connected via wire nut there.
10:04Yep.
10:05You've connected via wire nut here.
10:06Continuous pattern.
10:07Nice and simple.
10:08So this is what we're seeing inside this box.
10:09That white passes through, but is wire nutted straight to the light fixture.
10:13Our power in to our common.
10:16Our black and red are our travelers.
10:18And it goes to the other switch.
10:20And that allows us to do what?
10:22If I'm in one side of the room and I want to turn it on.
10:24Yep.
10:25Turn it on.
10:26You make the connection.
10:27But if you want to turn it off.
10:28I can go and break it over here.
10:30Huh.
10:31So again, continuous.
10:32Neutral's still intact.
10:33Never broken.
10:34But here's where the break happens.
10:35And that's how that third wire helps.
10:36Now you control from multiple locations.
10:38And if you wanted to turn it on over there, even though it's weird to put the switch down,
10:42it makes the connection.
10:43Doesn't care where you are.
10:44You can come and go as you want.
10:45Huh.
10:46Look at that.
10:47Over there.
10:48Okay.
10:49So I have to remember, if this, if I've got a three-way circuit set up, and for some reason,
10:56it's not working.
10:57Like, what have I done?
10:58That is one of the number one calls.
10:59Yeah.
11:00Right?
11:01That's why I call you.
11:02I'm like, wait a second.
11:03I just put a dimmer.
11:04Yeah.
11:05So we usually see two things happen.
11:06The first one and the most common is someone wants to install a dimmer.
11:07A lot of times you'll see three-way switches, either a kitchen or a dining room where you come in one side and out the other.
11:11And then we'll put a dimmer on that light.
11:13Makes perfect sense.
11:14A lot of times what they'll do is they'll get a single-pole dimmer.
11:16So it only has the two screws, not the three that we need.
11:20When they do that, they're only attaching two and not connecting anything to the other runner.
11:24So when you put the switch in one position, it'll work.
11:26When you turn it off, it's not going to do anything for you.
11:29Okay.
11:30The other way we see it is if they have a switch that failed or they want to change them and update them to freshen them up,
11:34when they take the old three-way out, they didn't pay attention to what wire is what.
11:37And it happens all the time because you see a couple of black wires and a red wire in there.
11:41I got screws.
11:42I'm just going to put them on there to be fine.
11:43Yeah, yeah.
11:44Why are you looking at me like that?
11:46I feel like I've gotten that phone call.
11:47When it goes back in, a lot of times the common, either the power or the light, ends up on one of the travelers.
11:53Same thing happens when that happens.
11:55If one switch is in a certain position, it'll work.
11:58But when you put it in the other switch, the position, it won't work at all.
12:00So is that why you like this configuration?
12:02Is that your sort of way of just kind of, you know...
12:04It's the simplest.
12:05The simplest way.
12:06So if you're not sure, if you're looking at something, just to take kind of the basic thought out of it,
12:10to make it really, really simple and standard, I take that black and red every time.
12:14Those are my two travelers.
12:15Those are my brass screws.
12:17The wire that's left, that's not the neutral.
12:19The wire that's left over is simply my common.
12:21Okay.
12:22That makes it the easiest way to follow and troubleshoot.
12:24If you have a three-way circuit, your switches have to have those three screws.
12:29They do.
12:30And then you have to get that common wired correctly.
12:32Correct.
12:33Yep.
12:34Excellent.
12:35Once you figure that out, you can see how it operates.
12:37The rest is pretty simple.
12:38So the only thing that I have a problem with is the fact that in my electrical bag, with my lineman's, my tape, my tester,
12:44I don't have room for this.
12:45And I need to take this with me.
12:46I'll make you a video.
12:47This is beautiful.
12:48Thank you, Heath.
12:49Thanks, Kevin.
12:54Hey, John.
12:55Hey, Nate.
12:56How are you?
12:57Nice to meet you.
12:58Good, good.
12:59You wrote me about a fence?
13:00I sure did.
13:01All right.
13:02Let's take a look.
13:03So is this where you're thinking about putting the fence?
13:08Yeah.
13:09So what I'm looking to do or have here is some separation between my lawn and the street.
13:16Because as you can see, there's a bit of a low-lying area here from cars driving on,
13:20when they're either guests, sometimes neighbors who are visiting other people.
13:24Yeah.
13:25And, you know, that killed a lot of the grass.
13:27And in general, I don't have any separation between my property and the street,
13:33kind of like my neighbors do with a fence over here, some bushes over there.
13:36So it'd be great to have something here.
13:38All right.
13:39I can definitely help you kind of define the space, put in a fence.
13:42But we might want to bring in a little bit more manpower for that.
13:44Let me give my buddy, Leah, a call and see if you can come give us a hand.
13:47Sounds good.
13:48John, I'd like to introduce you to Lee.
13:52Hi, John.
13:53How are you? Nice to meet you. How are you?
13:54Good to meet you.
13:55So we were driving over and we were having a conversation and the first thing that came up was 8-1-1.
13:59Yes.
14:00You know, we want to make that phone call before we do any digging in the yard.
14:02Okay.
14:03They're going to come out, they're going to check for gas, they're going to check for water, electrical, cable,
14:07anything that might be buried.
14:09So we want to make that phone call first.
14:11So actually, I've already called 8-1-1 and they said we are good to go.
14:14Okay.
14:15You are ahead of the game.
14:16We're in great shape.
14:17We already have some existing cobblestones in, John.
14:19So why don't we, you know, go off of that?
14:21What do you think?
14:22That sounds like a great idea.
14:23Yeah.
14:24And they look good, so.
14:25Did you start with the layout?
14:26Yeah, let's do layout, do some measurements and go from there.
14:27Okay.
14:28All right.
14:29All right, let's go.
14:30Sounds great.
14:31All right, I think a classic post and rail fence would look really sharp.
14:33They'll look really nice.
14:34So let's say maybe about two feet off the backside of that cobblestone.
14:38Okay.
14:39All right.
14:40This mailbox, I feel like it's seen better days.
14:42It absolutely has.
14:43Let's take it out and put a new one in.
14:45All right.
14:46So we'll put the mailbox down there.
14:47Okay.
14:48New one.
14:49And then we'll do that post.
14:50Start right about here?
14:51Post right there, yeah.
14:52Okay.
14:53And we're going to work in about eight-foot lengths.
14:54Okay.
14:55So we'll drop a post at eight feet there.
14:57Another one here?
14:58Yep.
14:59Come down to 16 feet.
15:02We'll drop a post there.
15:03Okay.
15:04Another one here.
15:05Yep.
15:06Nice.
15:07And then we'll cap the end at 24.
15:11Right there.
15:12Okay, perfect.
15:13All right.
15:14Nice.
15:15Good?
15:16So four posts, some rails.
15:17Yep.
15:18But when I'm done, it'll just be a fence.
15:19Okay.
15:20Then let me come in, all right?
15:21Okay.
15:22And I think we should bump it out a little bit, the bed itself, like 36.
15:25Mm-hmm.
15:26Three feet off the cobblestone would look really nice, nice straight line.
15:29That looks right.
15:30Like a bug here.
15:31Yep.
15:32And that will give me room to put some plants in here.
15:33All right.
15:34Because a plain fence, John, I don't think it's going to look too good.
15:35Yeah.
15:36You know, I'm thinking like some climbing roses, maybe some spiraea, you know?
15:39Sounds like you have a lot more style than I do.
15:41Okay.
15:42But first, let's get this grass out of here.
15:45All right.
15:46Sounds great.
15:47Ready to go.
15:48All right, let's do some work.
15:49Less talky, more worky.
15:50Yep.
15:51I'm going to get started with this mailbox.
15:53Okay.
15:54Lee, help me.
15:55You want some help over here?
15:56Hold on one second.
15:57Ready?
15:58Yep.
15:59Which way you want to go?
16:00Go straight up.
16:01One, two, three.
16:02There we go.
16:03Good?
16:05Okay.
16:06All you want to do is just want to get underneath the grass.
16:07You want to, I don't want to go too deep.
16:08Okay.
16:09And I don't want to go too shallow.
16:10Nice job.
16:11Thanks, Nathan.
16:12Yep.
16:13So I think our first post is going to be around here somewhere.
16:25Yeah.
16:26So the reason why we're doing this, so the fence will be straight, right?
16:29Nice and straight.
16:30Good.
16:31All right.
16:32So there's two feet there.
16:33We'll go down this end.
16:34All right.
16:35We'll go down here a little bit past our 24 foot mark.
16:38That looks pretty good.
16:39Like it?
16:40Yeah.
16:41All right, John.
16:42Here are the parts that we need to put together your post and rail fence.
16:56I have here in my hands the end post.
16:58You can see it's mortised on this side.
17:00Yep.
17:01But it doesn't come all the way through for a nice clean look.
17:03Gotcha.
17:04In your hand, the through post, it's mortised all the way through.
17:06All right.
17:07And then Lee has the rails with the doweled ends.
17:09Okay.
17:10They're going to tuck right inside.
17:11Looks good.
17:12So we have our string line set up.
17:13We'll have a nice straight fence.
17:14We need to do a little bit more layout, give ourselves some rough locations that we're
17:18going to start digging some holes.
17:20Then we'll move the string line so we can dig them.
17:22And when we start putting things together, I'd like to start on this end because this
17:25is a little bit more important.
17:26The waste can go that way.
17:28So two feet down, that'll put us about to the top of the grade.
17:32Okay.
17:33And it's just from the bottom rail.
17:34We'll run it out level.
17:35It'll look pretty sharp.
17:36Typical life on these.
17:37Cedar, 30 years.
17:38Yep.
17:39We can start doing our layout.
17:40Okay.
17:41One of the ways.
17:42Put this down.
17:43Save some time is drop.
17:44Yeah.
17:45Drop that rail.
17:46Okay.
17:47Right on the ground like that.
17:48You know, our first post is going to be right here.
17:50Dowel is going to tuck inside of our post.
17:52About two inches inside, correct?
17:54Two inches inside.
17:55Yeah.
17:56So we'll dig a two foot hole there.
17:57Okay.
17:58And we'll come down.
17:59We know that's going to be inside the post.
18:00So that's the center.
18:02We can dig a hole there.
18:04Why two feet?
18:05Two feet down.
18:07Low enough that it's nice and stable.
18:09Not too deep.
18:10You're not going to hit any utilities.
18:11It's not really a high fence.
18:12We'll be about three feet above grade.
18:13Okay.
18:14There's no weight on this fence.
18:15No.
18:16It's not like a fence panel where you might want to go down.
18:18Yeah.
18:19Four feet.
18:20It's not like a big sail or anything like that.
18:21Yeah.
18:22So I can move this down.
18:23Okay.
18:24Slide it down.
18:25All right.
18:26Right about there.
18:35All right.
18:36One more.
18:37And then that's where it's going to end up down there, Jonathan.
18:39Right there.
18:40What do you think?
18:41Yeah.
18:42That looks good.
18:43Okay.
18:44Good.
18:49All right.
18:50Let's start digging.
18:51Okay.
18:52Just put it in the ground.
18:55Spread your arms.
18:56And bring out material.
18:57Okay.
19:04It's good arms day, you know?
19:05Yeah.
19:10Pretty good.
19:11Nice.
19:17We want it to be plum.
19:19And we're going to backfill with some stone dust.
19:21This will compact nice.
19:22It'll drain.
19:23It's going to be a lot better than cement.
19:26Cement has an issue.
19:27It might rot the post.
19:28So we don't want to do that.
19:29Perfect.
19:30Now we can start digging our second hole.
19:32Okay.
19:33Good.
19:34Yep.
19:35Let me sneak in there.
19:36Oh, you're going to give it?
19:37Yep.
19:38Okay.
19:47Get our post in there.
19:48Yep.
19:49One thing I want to do is we're going to slide a rail in.
19:53Is I want to run this out level.
19:55Okay.
19:56Because the grade kind of goes up and down a little bit.
19:59All right.
20:00So we want to backfill that hole just a little bit to run out level.
20:02Okay.
20:05Put our top rail in.
20:08John, can you do me a favor?
20:09Can you grab me that piece of scrap?
20:11Sure.
20:12That's good right there.
20:13Good?
20:14Yep.
20:15Good?
20:16Nice.
20:17All right.
20:18Lean it.
20:19Give it just a touch back towards the house.
20:20Yeah, it's perfect.
20:21Right there.
20:22Okay.
20:23Go ahead.
20:24Very nice.
20:25Tap that in.
20:26All right.
20:27So we have these posts tamped down.
20:28Okay.
20:29And then we backfill it around and we push it down with our foot.
20:32But one of the best ways to compact the material is actually just to run a hose at the base of each post.
20:36Let it pull up and then filter down and pull up.
20:37And then I'm going to drive these nails in.
20:38I'm going to rototilt the beds.
20:39Okay.
20:40So we can get ready for some planting.
20:41All right.
20:42Sounds good.
20:43John, can we have the spirea here?
20:44Okay.
20:45Golden leaf one on it.
20:46It's really nice.
20:47Really nice.
20:48Really nice.
20:49Really nice.
20:50Really nice.
20:51Really nice.
20:52Really nice.
20:53Really nice.
20:54Really nice.
20:55Yeah.
20:56Yeah.
20:57Yeah.
20:58Yeah.
20:59Yeah.
21:00Yeah.
21:01Yeah.
21:02Yeah.
21:03Yeah.
21:04Yeah.
21:05It's really nice.
21:06Really pretty.
21:07What's the expected coloring for the flower?
21:08This one here should be a nice soft pink, you know?
21:11And then I offset it with this.
21:12This is Black Eyed Susan's.
21:14It's got the seed pod right here.
21:16Okay.
21:17And that's what the birds like later in the fall.
21:20So this cap mint, this is going to cascade over, over the cobblestones that we have.
21:25And look at that.
21:26That's really pretty.
21:27And this will get a good size.
21:28Okay.
21:29And then on the backside, I got a rose bush.
21:31So when they start growing up, just maybe help the train along the rails.
21:34Yeah.
21:35Okay.
21:41Spread that around nice.
21:45Keep it fluffy.
21:46Keep it natural.
21:47Perfect.
21:48All right, John.
21:49What do you think?
21:50I was expecting a fence and you guys delivered a heck of a lot more.
22:03You know, the plants, everything.
22:05It just looks amazing.
22:06Came out good.
22:07Nathan, you knocked it out of the park by putting the fence in.
22:09It looks good.
22:10Nice and level, straight.
22:11You can't ask any better.
22:12You got Lee's personal touch on these plantings.
22:13I think this will really keep people off your lawn for sure.
22:15I hope so.
22:16Yeah.
22:17You're in good shape.
22:18Let's make sure.
22:19Any homework, Lee?
22:20Yes.
22:21Ready?
22:22Yes.
22:23Water, water, water.
22:24Give me at least 15 to 20 minutes of watering twice a day.
22:25Twice a day.
22:26All right.
22:27Keep everything hydrated.
22:28That will work out really well.
22:29Gotcha.
22:30Okay.
22:31Sounds good.
22:32Enjoy it.
22:33All right.
22:34Thanks for your help, guys.
22:35Talk to you so much.
22:36Good job, Nathan.
22:37Good job, Lee.
22:38Go get a beer.
22:39Yeah.
22:40Two.
