00:00:00In Britain, the top 10% own over half the country's wealth.
00:00:06I have nice cars. I own a couple of resources.
00:00:09It feels nice to have money.
00:00:12But while the rich are getting richer...
00:00:14It's a very profitable business that turns over well over £10 million a year.
00:00:18The poor are getting poorer.
00:00:21It's tough.
00:00:22Hit hard by relentless price rises.
00:00:25A lot of posh people think poor people just sit on their bums all day on benefits.
00:00:29Once we've spent on food, we don't really have anything left over.
00:00:33I had bailiffs come in.
00:00:36Might be on its way out.
00:00:38Now, two families are swapping homes.
00:00:42That is very different.
00:00:43Yes.
00:00:44How many windows does a house need?
00:00:46How many doors?
00:00:48Budget.
00:00:48All right, this is where I get serious.
00:00:51Oh, God.
00:00:53And lives.
00:00:54It's our bloody work.
00:00:56It was way more challenging than I thought it would be.
00:00:58Champagne.
00:01:00I'm in heaven.
00:01:01To find out if money really does buy happiness.
00:01:05I love to have a walk in order.
00:01:09Oh, my goodness.
00:01:11Never been in a limo in the last.
00:01:14Or do people matter most?
00:01:17This is the nicest family time that us three have had together in years.
00:01:21And when they finally meet...
00:01:24Hello.
00:01:25...lives are changed forever.
00:01:27We'd like to gift you a van.
00:01:31We want to back your vision to a value of £100,000.
00:01:35Oh, my God.
00:01:35It's going to change everything for the better.
00:01:42The town of Solihull, near Birmingham, lies on the dividing line between the UK's north and south.
00:01:51Ranked one of the best places to live in the UK, it's home to the Botterell family.
00:01:56I'm Nigel Boshrell, and this is...
00:02:00I'm Sue, Nigel's wife of over 30 years.
00:02:04Their £1.5 million house, complete with £20,000 agar and £3,000 coffee maker,
00:02:11immediately tells you money is not an issue.
00:02:16This is definitely my favourite room in the house,
00:02:19especially when all the kids come home and we have family dinners, family celebrations.
00:02:25Who wants a margarita, guys?
00:02:27The Botterells have four grown-up children,
00:02:29and the house has been their family home for over 20 years.
00:02:33Cheers!
00:02:36Four bedrooms upstairs, plenty of bathrooms, lots of room for everybody.
00:02:40There's a big cinema room.
00:02:42And when it comes to the outside of their millionaire pad,
00:02:46no expense has been spared.
00:02:48Then there's the pool, which has been great, hasn't it?
00:02:52It's really been good over the years, when the children were little,
00:02:55and also the sauna's really useful.
00:02:57I think that's such a healthy thing to have a sauna.
00:03:01Healthy and exclusive, home saunas don't come cheap.
00:03:06We've got an amazing garden as well.
00:03:08The kids had their own skate park.
00:03:10And the tennis court came in useful for all sorts.
00:03:14All the kids have learnt to ride their bikes on there.
00:03:16It's been a cricket pitch, it's a basketball court.
00:03:19Now they've grown up and moved out,
00:03:21these empty nesters have been able to indulge their love of travel.
00:03:25Doing new and exciting things, seeing different places.
00:03:28And some of those trips will be in five figures.
00:03:31That's definitely where we spend our money.
00:03:33However, life hasn't always been so full of luxury.
00:03:37My dad was a policeman, my mum was a dinner lady.
00:03:40But there was no spare money.
00:03:42I was very similar.
00:03:43Dad repaired washing machines.
00:03:45My mum was a secretary.
00:03:46The couple met working in a bank.
00:03:50But then came a eureka moment.
00:03:52We went on a tour of Solihull School, a private school.
00:03:58And it absolutely blew my mind.
00:04:00As someone that came up in the comprehensive system,
00:04:03and having seen these amazing facilities,
00:04:05I wanted to send my kids there and realise that I couldn't do that
00:04:08whilst I was working for somebody else.
00:04:10Today, they jointly own and run one of Europe's biggest business advice centres.
00:04:15We have a business called Entrepreneur's Circle
00:04:17that exists to help and inspire business owners
00:04:21to achieve more than they ever felt possible.
00:04:25Oh, good morning, everybody.
00:04:27Good morning, guys.
00:04:28Wow, it's great to see so many of you here today.
00:04:32It's a very profitable business
00:04:33that turns over well over £10 million a year,
00:04:36and we own all of it.
00:04:37Sue and Nigel are equal business partners,
00:04:41but have very different roles.
00:04:43I shall lead the way.
00:04:45You love being on stage presenting.
00:04:48I would rather be in...
00:04:50Anywhere else.
00:04:51..a quiet corner.
00:04:52I love talking to the customers, but face-to-face.
00:04:57Susie, can you help me pick the shirts I should take?
00:05:01So, why would two people with zero-money worries
00:05:04want to swap lives with a family
00:05:06at the other end of Britain's wealth divide?
00:05:09Ta-da!
00:05:10No, no, no.
00:05:12There'll be some people on low incomes right now
00:05:15who are just a couple of insights away
00:05:19from things being very, very different.
00:05:21A little bit of guidance and pointers.
00:05:23Their lives can be transformed,
00:05:25and I'm hoping that we might see some of that this week.
00:05:28And I think it will be really interesting
00:05:30to see if we can still have such a happy and contented life
00:05:36on a much smaller budget.
00:05:39Ooh, it's heavy.
00:05:41That's because you've packed for six weeks, not six days.
00:05:43Ninety miles north-east
00:05:49is the historic cathedral city of Lincoln.
00:05:54It's home to 42-year-old care worker Becky,
00:05:57her two adult children and partner Damien, 43,
00:06:00a parcel courier.
00:06:03He's an amazing step-dad,
00:06:04and they look at him like a role model.
00:06:07Becky's son Ty will be joining them on the swap.
00:06:10He's always been there for me, no matter what.
00:06:12She knew Damien, or Damo,
00:06:15as his friends call him, from school days.
00:06:18I added you on Facebook, didn't I?
00:06:20Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:06:20And then we met out, didn't we?
00:06:22And then we've been together ever since for eight years.
00:06:25Home's a housing association semi-detached
00:06:27in urgent need of some TLC.
00:06:30We've got things falling apart, so it's a nightmare.
00:06:34I hate this carpet,
00:06:35because as soon as you walk through the front door,
00:06:37it's there in front of you,
00:06:39so all your guests can see.
00:06:40It's dangerous.
00:06:41It, like, falls apart, comes away.
00:06:43Everyone slips on it.
00:06:46Upstairs is pretty cramped.
00:06:48The four of them have to fit in two bedrooms and a box room.
00:06:52The wallpaper's coming off.
00:06:55You know when you just want to make it home and be comfortable?
00:06:58It's just...
00:06:59It's not my sanctuary.
00:07:01It breaks my heart.
00:07:02The family spends a lot of time in the garden,
00:07:05and their pride and joy is the swimming pool,
00:07:08one of Becky's bargain buys.
00:07:10I got it for half price, so I got it for 80.
00:07:14The garden needs to tidy up, but it's a cash problem.
00:07:17My garden, at the moment, is a tip.
00:07:19It's a mess.
00:07:21It's this bit.
00:07:22If I could find a way to hide it or afford to pay for a skip, I would.
00:07:26When we get our wages, it goes straight out to bills, doesn't it?
00:07:29Yeah.
00:07:29So we don't have that extra.
00:07:31It's not for the want of trying.
00:07:33Like over a million Brits struggling to get by, Becky has two jobs.
00:07:38She does three days at a care home,
00:07:39and outside that, casual cleaning work for the elderly.
00:07:43If I didn't have the jobs,
00:07:44and we just depended on Damo's job or just a warm wage,
00:07:47we wouldn't have a house.
00:07:48We'd be on the streets.
00:07:49But I do get quite tired and grumpy, don't I?
00:07:51You do, yeah.
00:07:52Damien also works long hours.
00:07:54But after paying bills and rent,
00:07:56they manage on just 30 quid a week for food.
00:07:59Becky watches every penny.
00:08:02I use the air fryer because it's cheaper and it's quicker,
00:08:06and it saves so much on my electricity bill.
00:08:10Nothing comes before family for Becky and Damien,
00:08:13and despite money being short, they have some fun times.
00:08:17Disco night is a regular.
00:08:20And then there's karaoke.
00:08:23Oh, when the saints go marching in.
00:08:26Oh, when the saints go marching in.
00:08:29Together, we are happy.
00:08:32When it comes to money, we could be a bit happier on that side,
00:08:35couldn't we?
00:08:35Yeah, we bicker over money, don't we?
00:08:37Yeah, we do, yeah.
00:08:39To solve their money problems,
00:08:41both of them would like to start their own business,
00:08:44to have more financial control over their lives and future.
00:08:48Becky's idea is a personalised care service for the elderly.
00:08:51I'm compassionate, I'm caring, I'm empathetic.
00:08:55I just, it's part of me, isn't it?
00:08:57Yeah.
00:08:59Damien's passion is cars.
00:09:01One of my dreams would be to actually own my own car wallet business.
00:09:05I would like to get my son involved in it as well,
00:09:09because he has struggled to find a job.
00:09:12Quite fun to work together.
00:09:14We bounce off each other, so no matter what, nothing's a dull moment.
00:09:17We'd have a good laugh and a joke along the way, wouldn't we?
00:09:20Maybe you haven't missed a spot.
00:09:22No, I haven't.
00:09:22So what's stopping them?
00:09:26To do it mobile, you would need a van,
00:09:27and you'd need to kick the van out with all the equipment
00:09:29that you do need to do the job.
00:09:31It all adds up.
00:09:33It's roughly between £10,000 and £15,000.
00:09:36That figure is something that I would never see being affordable.
00:09:39And if money was no object, what else would they do?
00:09:44We would love to get married, wouldn't we?
00:09:45Yeah.
00:09:47We'd do the bungee jumping, we'd do the skydiving.
00:09:49Just adrenaline, anything.
00:09:50We like them sort of things, because of them few minutes,
00:09:53you're basically free, you've got no worries.
00:09:56So, what are their hopes for the swap week?
00:09:59We can go and do a food shop and not worry
00:10:01about going into a supermarket and me getting my calculator out,
00:10:04going, actually, I can't add that,
00:10:05so I can't wait to go and get food.
00:10:07They also want to prove something to the rich family.
00:10:10A lot of posh people think poor people
00:10:13just sit on their bums all day on benefits,
00:10:16but I want to show them that...
00:10:17They're not.
00:10:18They're not.
00:10:19There's people out there that work extremely hard, like we do.
00:10:22We work hard for everything that women have.
00:10:29Day one, and in Solihull,
00:10:32multimillionaire entrepreneurs Sue and Nigel
00:10:34are ready to hit the road.
00:10:37This is really it now.
00:10:4190 miles north in Lincoln,
00:10:43while Ty is packed and ready to go,
00:10:45Becky's daughter is staying with friends.
00:10:50It's just over an hour and a half between the two houses.
00:10:53I go, we're off.
00:10:55Plenty of time for a chat.
00:10:58I can't really see what it looks like.
00:11:00I want to go to have a coffee machine.
00:11:01I'm really going to miss that coffee machine.
00:11:04I've got a big kitchen.
00:11:06I like a big kitchen with an island in the middle.
00:11:09Yeah, I mean, we might get some new habits, you know, from all this.
00:11:11Could be a very positive thing.
00:11:13We might find out we don't need as much as we thought we did.
00:11:16I'm really nervous.
00:11:17We're getting so close.
00:11:18I wonder what the price of property is like around here.
00:11:25Is this one here?
00:11:26Yeah.
00:11:30That's huge, babe.
00:11:32It's got like three floors up.
00:11:33One, two, three.
00:11:36Look at all the little gnomes.
00:11:40How cute.
00:11:42It's fair to say we've never had a gnome outside our house.
00:11:44No, we don't have any gnomes.
00:11:45This will be a first time.
00:11:46It's the sort of house as I look at and dream of owning.
00:11:49It's beautiful, isn't it?
00:11:50Shall we go in?
00:11:52Let's do it.
00:11:52Come on.
00:11:54Coming up, both families come to terms with their weekly budget.
00:11:59That is going to be a big change.
00:12:02I just didn't think that sort of money a week is possible.
00:12:06One family takes a cold plunge.
00:12:09Well done, darling.
00:12:10While the other takes to the air.
00:12:13Felt like a bird floating in the wind.
00:12:15It was amazing.
00:12:16And the week brings surprises for both.
00:12:19So it explains why they're only spending £30 a week on their food bill.
00:12:25It's outside now.
00:12:26In Lincoln, care worker Becky and parcel delivery guide Damien are struggling.
00:12:41I hate this carpet.
00:12:43It like falls apart, comes away.
00:12:45The wallpaper's coming off.
00:12:46It's not my sanctuary.
00:12:48It breaks my heart.
00:12:49It's a different story in Solihull.
00:12:51Cheers!
00:12:53Doing new and exciting things.
00:12:55That's definitely where we spend our money.
00:12:57One family works hard but can't seem to get ahead.
00:13:01Bicker over money, don't we?
00:13:03Yeah, we do.
00:13:03The other owns a large mentoring service delivering business advice to start-ups.
00:13:10It's a very profitable business that turns over well over £10 million a year and we own
00:13:14all of it.
00:13:15So could they help Becky start her own home care business or get Damien's idea off the
00:13:21ground?
00:13:21One of my dreams would be to actually own my own car wallet business.
00:13:25And what do they want from their swap home?
00:13:27I like a big kitchen with an island in the middle.
00:13:30I'm really going to miss that coffee machine.
00:13:34Ladies first.
00:13:36Wow.
00:13:37The first challenge for both couples is to find out as much as they can about their hosts
00:13:41for the week.
00:13:42They're all really posh compared to all of us, don't they?
00:13:47Wow.
00:13:51Oh, look, it feels really homely.
00:13:54There's so much little bits and bogs.
00:13:57There's definitely like a couple that live here, I would say.
00:14:00Here, they look very loved up and very together, don't they?
00:14:02Yeah.
00:14:03It's like the house I grew up in.
00:14:07This looks like family pictures here, doesn't it?
00:14:09Yeah.
00:14:10Ella looks stepped up, Dad.
00:14:11You've stepped up to have one of those child as your own.
00:14:14That is the full family there, look.
00:14:16So, Mom, son and daughter, and stepdad.
00:14:19Look at that, that's Ellie.
00:14:21Look at that sofa.
00:14:27They all look similar, though, don't they?
00:14:28You can tell.
00:14:31Wow.
00:14:35I think she runs very masterclasses.
00:14:38He's got his own books.
00:14:39I reckon he does, like, business classes for businesses.
00:14:43He's definitely worked out the success secrets, though, haven't he?
00:14:45Yeah.
00:14:47Sue and Nigel don't have to step too far into their home for the week before they see signs of a family in money trouble.
00:14:54It looks like they've started painting here, but not finished, like a few patches.
00:14:59In the master bedroom, there's more unfinished decorating.
00:15:04Well, that must be quite depressing, though, when you wake up every morning and you're looking at that.
00:15:08Life in Solihulls lived on a different scale.
00:15:12Wow, look at the size of that bed.
00:15:14Oh, wow.
00:15:18I'm in heaven.
00:15:20I'd love to have a walk in Mordo.
00:15:21Babe, look, Jimmy's shoe.
00:15:27I reckon this shoe, they'd be about £2,000, £3,000.
00:15:31For a pair of shoes?
00:15:32For a pair of shoes.
00:15:33I'd never afford a pair of them, ever.
00:15:37Check out all these shirts, babe.
00:15:41I like that one.
00:15:42That's quite funky.
00:15:44Look at the shower.
00:15:45I know, the shower's awesome, that.
00:15:47It'd be good for my muscles from work.
00:15:49Oh, my Lord.
00:15:51Look, you can fit in it.
00:15:54You can fit in it, Damo.
00:15:57Sue and Nigel are amazed to discover an ensuite bathroom in such a small house.
00:16:05There's no window or anything, sir.
00:16:06No, that's probably why it's damp, isn't it?
00:16:08You can smell the damp in here, can't you?
00:16:09You can see why it's peeling.
00:16:11Yeah.
00:16:12Back downstairs in Solihull, Becky's got the kitchen she always wanted.
00:16:16I love to have an island in my house.
00:16:19Have you seen the oven, babe?
00:16:20Wow.
00:16:21One of my favourite ovens in the world, but it's a lovely argo.
00:16:25You're cooking tea all week.
00:16:28In Lincoln, Sue and Nigel are still playing detective.
00:16:32Look, they like collecting fridge magnets.
00:16:34Oh, goodness me.
00:16:35Gosh, there's loads of clues there.
00:16:37And look, I wonder if that's her name, Becky.
00:16:40She's a care assistant, look.
00:16:42Oh.
00:16:43This looks like an air fryer recipe for spaghetti bolognese in the air fryer.
00:16:48Oh, I've never used an air fryer, but there's always a first time.
00:16:53They've got everything crammed in here, haven't they?
00:16:54They've got the washing machine, tumble dryer.
00:16:56Do we have to put the pipe out the window?
00:16:59Yeah, you will do.
00:16:59Or dry it?
00:17:00Yeah.
00:17:01So there's a calendar here, look.
00:17:03Gosh, she's working seven till seven.
00:17:05Dad's working half ten till quarter to eight.
00:17:07It's like six days a week.
00:17:10Each family's left a welcome note.
00:17:12We're really pleased to have you here for the week.
00:17:14Make sure you explore down the garden.
00:17:16Hope you've brought your swimmers.
00:17:18They seem really laid back.
00:17:19Yeah.
00:17:20Please excuse the shower.
00:17:21The damp on the walls is like a waterfall flowing.
00:17:24Cronicky.
00:17:25I need to say sorry for the carpet in the main bedroom as well,
00:17:27and the hallway and stairs as it's been here since we moved in.
00:17:30We're ashamed of how it makes our home not our home.
00:17:33Oh.
00:17:34Please turn a blind eye to the rubbish in the garden,
00:17:37because we can't afford a skip.
00:17:39In Solihull, the garden's immaculate.
00:17:42Oh, wow, look at it out here.
00:17:43Oh, wow.
00:17:44Look how far it goes back.
00:17:45I know.
00:17:46There's even a garden bar.
00:17:48I want one of these in my house.
00:17:50It's lovely in there, isn't it?
00:17:51Yeah.
00:17:51It's really nice.
00:17:54Oh, I see what they mean about the rubbish.
00:17:57It's a lot of rubbish to get rid of, isn't it?
00:18:02You ain't going in there, kiddo.
00:18:03It's freezing.
00:18:08I'm guessing this is going to be some sort of indoor pool.
00:18:13It's awesome, isn't it, the pool?
00:18:14I like the fact that they've got the pictures of the kids on the side as well.
00:18:18And now, for the moment of truth, the budget reveal.
00:18:27Oh, wow.
00:18:27Wow, you see that?
00:18:28Two pounds, 51.
00:18:34Oh, wait.
00:18:36Okay.
00:18:39One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
00:18:45One hundred and thirty-two pounds and fifty-one pounds.
00:18:52That is going to be a big change.
00:18:57Two thousand pounds.
00:18:58Two thousand pounds.
00:18:59Two thousand pounds.
00:18:59Oh, wait.
00:18:59Yes.
00:19:01Oh, my God.
00:19:03I'm sorry.
00:19:03I feel a bit emotional looking at all that money.
00:19:05Our budget is like a few of these, do you know what I mean?
00:19:07Yeah.
00:19:08It's not a lot of money, is it, to look after everybody, to feed everybody.
00:19:12It's making me realise how much we actually spend without thinking.
00:19:17I just didn't think that sort of money a week is possible.
00:19:22They're really going to struggle on our budget.
00:19:24Yeah, aren't they?
00:19:24Really going to struggle.
00:19:26They've swapped budgets, now to swap lives.
00:19:29Each family's left an activity board.
00:19:31Oh, wow.
00:19:32What have we got?
00:19:33Da-da-da.
00:19:35Oh.
00:19:37Mmm.
00:19:37Air-fryer dinner.
00:19:39I know a lot of the students have them at uni.
00:19:42A visit to HQ, so I'm guessing we're going to have to visit their workplace.
00:19:46Post-run.
00:19:48Run.
00:19:48It's going to be delivering.
00:19:49Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:19:51Parcels or letters.
00:19:52Damo's job, you reckon?
00:19:53A private chef to butler service.
00:19:56That'd be quite nice to be waited on, like, hand and foot.
00:19:59As long as there's no fish, I can't do fish.
00:20:00Pool fun.
00:20:02Pool fun, yes.
00:20:04Get the thermals on.
00:20:05Shop till you drop.
00:20:06We can do that, can't we?
00:20:08Yeah, we got that.
00:20:09Oh, no.
00:20:12Karaoke night.
00:20:14I'm the world's worst singer.
00:20:16At the end of a long day, Becky's not up for cooking.
00:20:20And with £2,000 of cold, hard cash in her pocket,
00:20:24she's straight on the phone to order a posh takeaway.
00:20:27Chicken curry and a chicken chow mein, please.
00:20:3148, 57.
00:20:33How much?
00:20:35Sue and Nigel are raiding the kitchen's cupboards.
00:20:38Tinned potatoes?
00:20:40I've never seen them before.
00:20:42Egg and rice?
00:20:44And we can jujit up a bit with some chillies
00:20:46and a little bit of paprika.
00:20:48And some peeled potatoes?
00:20:50No, I'm not touching those.
00:20:52At nearly 50 quid, tonight's takeaway has cost more than Becky normally spends on food for an entire week.
00:20:59I'm flabbergasted how much all this costs.
00:21:02I think I just got a little bit carried away, that's all.
00:21:06Mexican with a hint of Chinese.
00:21:08It is starting to feel real now, isn't it?
00:21:10Yeah, I think the idea of it is very different to actually being here.
00:21:14Yeah, I agree.
00:21:15It's a bit daunting.
00:21:18Becky's swapping a mouldy shower room for a luxury bubble bath.
00:21:22When he was no object, I'd have one of these baths at home.
00:21:27I really would.
00:21:35There's one last job for both families.
00:21:38Each day they'll record a secret diary.
00:21:40What was out on that table?
00:21:43It was more than what I earn in a month.
00:21:46I think this shower needs, it needs some kind of overhaul to get rid of the smell.
00:21:52So to see him get emotional on how much this money thing actually gets to him,
00:21:57it hurts because he doesn't let me in with money, he shuts me down.
00:22:01I've never had to, you know, confront such a challenge
00:22:05and it's making me very conscious and self-aware of the things that I spend money on
00:22:10without normally thinking.
00:22:17It's day two and the first morning for both families in their swap house.
00:22:22Morning.
00:22:26Oh, good morning.
00:22:27It was a bit noisy last night, didn't it?
00:22:29Yeah, there was some shouting, wasn't there?
00:22:31It does make me realise how quiet it is.
00:22:33Get home normally, yeah, that is true.
00:22:36It's just a very different feeling when you wake up
00:22:38and you're looking at some wallpaper hanging off and paint patches.
00:22:43Phil, that was quite a depressing start to the day, seeing that,
00:22:47and then knowing you're going to go into the shower that's kind of mouldy and damp.
00:22:55How did you sleep, babe?
00:22:56It's not very well to be fair.
00:22:57It's a nice bed, isn't it?
00:22:58It's nice not to wake up and stress and think,
00:23:01I've got to be at work at a stupid o'clock in the morning.
00:23:04It's amazing and not to be overlooked by houses or noisy neighbours
00:23:09or the bin lorry or anything like that.
00:23:12It's perfect.
00:23:14With a nice shower.
00:23:15I can't wait to get in that shower.
00:23:17It's big.
00:23:17Becky was looking forward to doing a food shop this morning with no money worries.
00:23:24But Sue's beaten her to it.
00:23:26She has hers delivered.
00:23:28Well, all that shopping to be on the doorstep was amazing.
00:23:31Definitely got a steak each.
00:23:33We don't buy a steak, do we, babe?
00:23:34No.
00:23:35Because I can't afford to.
00:23:36I can't remember the last time I had steak, if I'm honest.
00:23:37This shop costs, like, £237.26p.
00:23:43Ours is, like, £30.
00:23:44Eat, like, kings and queens for the week.
00:23:48This life would be amazing if it was permanent.
00:23:54Oh, come on, then.
00:23:55Let's go.
00:23:57Let's go shopping.
00:23:58In Lincoln, there's nothing on the doorstep,
00:24:00and they're going to have to stick to Becky's £30 food budget.
00:24:04£30.
00:24:06I'm full of respect for how they managed to do that.
00:24:09It's incredible.
00:24:11It's such a long time since we've actually been in a supermarket together.
00:24:14Well, I've been in a supermarket three times in 25 years.
00:24:2178p for six bananas.
00:24:2313 pence of banana.
00:24:24It's something fresh, isn't it, at least?
00:24:26We were trying to eat healthily, as usual,
00:24:30but all the fresh ingredients we wanted were so expensive.
00:24:34It's at 89p.
00:24:36This is so much harder than I thought it was going to be.
00:24:38It's because the big is, like, nearly a pound each, isn't it, and everything,
00:24:40so it's like...
00:24:41But I think we're OK so far.
00:24:42We needed some oil.
00:24:44OK.
00:24:45This is going to blow the budget, though.
00:24:46Normally, I would always get olive oil,
00:24:48but olive oil is expensive.
00:24:50Go for the little spray.
00:24:51Come on.
00:24:52I don't feel like we've got much in the trolley,
00:24:54but it seems to have added up to a lot already.
00:24:56We may just be a bit hungry the rest of the week.
00:24:59I don't know.
00:24:59We'll see how we get on.
00:25:00I've literally never had to make a choice.
00:25:03It's like we either have marmalade or honey.
00:25:05I chose the honey over the marmalade
00:25:07because it was six pence cheaper.
00:25:09That was a real behaviour shift for me.
00:25:13Susie, we've done it.
00:25:15Yes.
00:25:16Would you like your seat?
00:25:17Dead right I would.
00:25:18I'm going to frame it.
00:25:19It did come in at £28.76,
00:25:21which does give me £1.24 left
00:25:24on Becky's £30 budget.
00:25:27That's really, really good.
00:25:28Yeah, we did better than we thought.
00:25:30I'd write the sign, aren't you?
00:25:33Becky and Damien have a visitor
00:25:35and a chance to find out more about their hosts.
00:25:38Sam, this is my partner Damien.
00:25:40Hi.
00:25:41Hi, lovely to meet you.
00:25:42Lovely to meet you.
00:25:43Sam's a close friend of the family.
00:25:45So how do you know now you're going to show up?
00:25:47I've known them for about 15 years,
00:25:49and we met through our youngest children.
00:25:51So they have Fabian, who is 19,
00:25:53and I have my son Ben, who is also 19.
00:25:55Oh, that's good.
00:25:56But not really a spoke to anybody
00:25:57who knows them sort of personally yet.
00:26:00So really lovely couple,
00:26:02really down to earth,
00:26:03very caring,
00:26:04very, very family orientated.
00:26:06They just love to spend time with their family,
00:26:08and that really is their main priority in life,
00:26:11I would say.
00:26:12Since coming across Nigel's books,
00:26:14Damien's dipped into one of them.
00:26:16He and Becky have worked out.
00:26:17He's a professional advisor
00:26:19on how to grow your business.
00:26:21So looking around the house,
00:26:22we can see that they're always out and about
00:26:24meeting celebrities
00:26:25that we've noticed on the wall as well.
00:26:28Has it always been like that?
00:26:29No, it hasn't.
00:26:30I mean, they're both from really normal backgrounds.
00:26:33Nigel's dad was a policeman.
00:26:35Sue's dad mended washing machines for a living.
00:26:38So, you know, everything they've got,
00:26:40they've made themselves.
00:26:41So they risked everything.
00:26:42They mortgaged their house
00:26:43and took that decision
00:26:44to try and go it alone
00:26:46and build their own business.
00:26:47It hasn't all been plain sailing.
00:26:50About 10 years ago,
00:26:51they had a really rocky patch
00:26:52where they almost lost everything,
00:26:54and it was quite rough for a time.
00:26:56But they are very, very positive people,
00:26:59so they kept it going,
00:27:00and they just went on
00:27:02even bigger and better than before,
00:27:04and I think learned a lot of lessons along the way.
00:27:06What sort of things do they like to do for fun?
00:27:09Nigel plays golf.
00:27:10He plays golf with my husband,
00:27:12and then Sue and I love to go to the gym.
00:27:14Does she, like, have any hobbies
00:27:15like Nigel does with his golf?
00:27:17She did a charity skydive with me last year.
00:27:20The skydive is one thing
00:27:21I've always wanted to do.
00:27:22I am so jealous of the skydive.
00:27:25I really am,
00:27:26because that is one of my bucket list things.
00:27:29For me to be able to do that,
00:27:30that would be amazing.
00:27:33Next, a big house poses some small problems.
00:27:36So?
00:27:37Yes, please.
00:27:37Hello, boys.
00:27:40Both families get to experience
00:27:41the other one's work.
00:27:44I mean, I definitely know I'm scheduled.
00:27:47Richard Branson?
00:27:48That was when Nigel set up
00:27:49the Branson Centre for Entrepreneurship in Jamaica.
00:27:52Really?
00:27:52Yeah.
00:27:53Wow.
00:27:54And swapping homes means swapping gardens.
00:27:58Do you do all your weeding at your house?
00:28:01Can't believe Nigel and Sue have got a garden.
00:28:03He's coming home in my pocket.
00:28:04Becky and Damien are well-pleased
00:28:15with their millionaire swap home
00:28:17in upmarket Soddy Hall.
00:28:19I love to have a walk-in wardrobe.
00:28:21Babe, look.
00:28:22Jimmy Shoe.
00:28:23It's a different story in Lincoln.
00:28:25I need to say sorry for my own bedroom.
00:28:28Ashamed of how it makes our home
00:28:29not so poor.
00:28:32Both families can't believe
00:28:33their spending budget.
00:28:35Sorry, I feel a bit emotional
00:28:36looking at all that money.
00:28:37It's not a lot of money, is it,
00:28:38to look after everybody,
00:28:40to feed everybody.
00:28:41And it's a culture shock all round.
00:28:43And a chicken chow mein, please.
00:28:4648, 37.
00:28:47How much?
00:28:49Tinned potatoes?
00:28:50I've never seen them before.
00:28:52Day three, and in Lincoln,
00:28:57Sue's missing her freshly ground coffee.
00:29:00Instant coffee.
00:29:02Or better than nothing.
00:29:03That's what it'd have to be, darling.
00:29:05In Solihull, Damien's trying to master
00:29:08Sue's 3,000-pound barista machine.
00:29:11Don't know where the beans are, though,
00:29:12but it's obviously ground the beans,
00:29:14and I've got half a cup.
00:29:20That's really nice, to be fair.
00:29:22Nigel's found something
00:29:24definitely with a bitter taste.
00:29:27Some finance here.
00:29:28Over a credit limit.
00:29:30God, there's a lot of debt here.
00:29:31Council tax not being paid.
00:29:35We found this pile of bills,
00:29:38and immediately,
00:29:40I could feel their stress.
00:29:42It's not the relaxing start
00:29:44to the day they're used to.
00:29:46So the total is,
00:29:48in round numbers,
00:29:49£9,500, that they are.
00:29:51Wow.
00:29:52So it explains why they're only spending
00:29:53£30 a week on their food bill.
00:29:56The size of the debts is really big.
00:29:59This isn't something that's going to get fixed
00:30:00in a few months.
00:30:02I think living under the pressure
00:30:03of all this
00:30:05must be horrendous.
00:30:07very, very stressful.
00:30:08I want to know and understand
00:30:11how they are thinking and feeling about that,
00:30:13to let those things get
00:30:15into that state.
00:30:22Becky, Damien, and Ty
00:30:23can hardly believe
00:30:25they haven't found time
00:30:26for a swim yet.
00:30:27wouldn't it be nice to have a swimming pool
00:30:32in our back garden
00:30:32compared to our little paddling pool,
00:30:34don't you know?
00:30:34Yep.
00:30:36It'd be amazing, wouldn't it?
00:30:37I love having a swim every morning.
00:30:39I'd have one every morning
00:30:39and every evening.
00:30:40bigger than I thought it would be
00:30:45because compared to ours,
00:30:47it makes ours look really small.
00:30:51I want to take the swim pool home with me.
00:30:54They can have my paddling pool.
00:31:00Now it's Sue and Nigel's turn
00:31:01to learn about their hosts.
00:31:04No one knows them better than Darren.
00:31:07I've known Becky
00:31:08for about six years now.
00:31:10Okay.
00:31:11She came to one of my drag shows.
00:31:13Oh, wow.
00:31:14And we sparked up a friendship
00:31:16from there, really.
00:31:17They became close
00:31:18when Darren had serious health issues
00:31:20and Becky helped him through.
00:31:22That was in the hospital
00:31:24for about four months.
00:31:25I had a kidney transplant
00:31:26in April this year
00:31:27and Becky was coming.
00:31:28She was calling.
00:31:30She was there, you know,
00:31:30supporting.
00:31:31That guy's been through such a lot
00:31:33and he clearly values hugely,
00:31:36you know, the support
00:31:36and the friendship
00:31:37that Becky has provided him with.
00:31:39So what sort of challenges
00:31:41do they face
00:31:42on a day-to-day basis?
00:31:43I know they have some debt
00:31:44that they struggle with,
00:31:46but the debt is there
00:31:47because, you know,
00:31:47they try and do things
00:31:48for the kids.
00:31:49Are they married, Darren?
00:31:50They really want to get married.
00:31:51It's just, you know,
00:31:52it's not cheap to do so.
00:31:53So I think they're trying
00:31:54to clear the debt.
00:31:55And are the children
00:31:56Becky's children, though?
00:31:58Is that?
00:31:58Yes.
00:31:58Yeah.
00:31:59But Damo's basically
00:32:01adopted them.
00:32:02One's 16, one's 18.
00:32:04Right.
00:32:04So what does Becky
00:32:06and Damo's day-to-day life
00:32:08look like?
00:32:09Damo is a delivery driver.
00:32:11Six days a week,
00:32:12he's delivering.
00:32:13Becky works in a local
00:32:14care home.
00:32:1512-hour shifts,
00:32:17three or four a week.
00:32:18And then on her days off,
00:32:19she obviously does cleaning
00:32:20for elderly people now.
00:32:22She doesn't charge
00:32:23a lot of money.
00:32:24And sometimes
00:32:25she doesn't take any money.
00:32:26She would just go and do it
00:32:26for them because it needs to do it.
00:32:28Darren's painted them
00:32:29a much clearer picture
00:32:30of their house.
00:32:36Meanwhile,
00:32:37in Solihull,
00:32:38it's steak for supper.
00:32:40And Damian's swapped
00:32:41their 45-quid air fryer
00:32:43for the 20,000-pound aga.
00:32:45Personally,
00:32:47I do like the aga.
00:32:49The only fair fact
00:32:50is that it is always warm.
00:32:53Happy days.
00:32:55It's got to have been
00:32:56at least six months ago
00:32:57since we last had steak.
00:32:59I'm hungry, babe.
00:33:00Is it nearly ready?
00:33:01It's got to wait
00:33:01a little bit longer.
00:33:02It was really good
00:33:03cooking on that aga.
00:33:04Cooked a lot quicker
00:33:05than I thought it was going to.
00:33:07So it did catch me
00:33:08by surprise.
00:33:10It was nice to have
00:33:11some steak
00:33:12instead of just having
00:33:13pizza and chips.
00:33:14Haven't had steak
00:33:15in a while.
00:33:16You're right, darling, though.
00:33:17I am.
00:33:18I'm the lady of the manor,
00:33:19like I've always said.
00:33:21I do miss
00:33:21my little small house,
00:33:22my little shoebox house,
00:33:23as we say.
00:33:24It makes me feel
00:33:25closer to Damian.
00:33:26You want salt?
00:33:27Yes, please.
00:33:28Hair, boy.
00:33:29Hair, nail.
00:33:32Tonight,
00:33:33in Lincoln,
00:33:34Sue and Nigel
00:33:35are taking on
00:33:36the air fryer challenge.
00:33:38Becky left them
00:33:39her recipe
00:33:39for a family favourite,
00:33:41pasta bolognese.
00:33:42Why do they use
00:33:44an air fryer so much?
00:33:46So I think
00:33:47they must be
00:33:47economical to run
00:33:48because you're only
00:33:49heating up
00:33:50that little area
00:33:51rather than heating up
00:33:52your oven.
00:33:53Their top-of-the-range
00:33:54aga at home
00:33:55costs almost
00:33:57£2,500 a year
00:33:59to run.
00:33:59Ooh,
00:34:00let's see what it cooks up.
00:34:03Just 20 minutes later
00:34:04and dinner's ready.
00:34:05I can really see
00:34:08why people have
00:34:08air fryers.
00:34:09In our kitchen,
00:34:10we wouldn't need one
00:34:11because of the aga.
00:34:12But if I live somewhere else
00:34:13with a normal oven,
00:34:15I think it's a great
00:34:16addition to the kitchen.
00:34:17It's all nice.
00:34:17I agree.
00:34:19Another
00:34:19new experience.
00:34:20Right, come on then.
00:34:27Let's go to work.
00:34:28On day four,
00:34:30Sue and Nigel are doing
00:34:31Damien's parcel delivery round.
00:34:33On a normal day,
00:34:34he can deal with up to
00:34:36200 packages.
00:34:37That's just over
00:34:3860 pence per item.
00:34:41Let's get to it.
00:34:43Shall I drive?
00:34:44Yes.
00:34:45They'll have to cope
00:34:46with just 24.
00:34:48When Nigel and I
00:34:49do something,
00:34:50we don't like to do
00:34:50half a job.
00:34:51We like to do it properly
00:34:52and we are actually
00:34:54very competitive as well.
00:34:55Damien does 24 parcels
00:34:57in an hour.
00:35:00So, if it's 24 in an hour,
00:35:03that's 12 in half an hour.
00:35:05Yep.
00:35:06Six in 15 minutes?
00:35:08Yeah.
00:35:09That doesn't give you
00:35:10much time, does it?
00:35:11No.
00:35:11Right, so where am I going?
00:35:13Sue and Nigel
00:35:14have worked together
00:35:15for years,
00:35:16so teamwork
00:35:17comes naturally to them.
00:35:18Just pull in here,
00:35:19look or something.
00:35:22Stop.
00:35:23Finding the location
00:35:24is only the first challenge.
00:35:26OK.
00:35:26I don't know
00:35:27where we're going to put it.
00:35:30The letter box
00:35:30is looking at the top now.
00:35:32Oh, thank you.
00:35:32How do I get to it?
00:35:34No idea.
00:35:35Oh.
00:35:38Hi, sorry to bother you.
00:35:39I've got a parcel
00:35:40for next door
00:35:40but it seems to be closed.
00:35:44I don't think we're
00:35:46unscheduled though
00:35:47to match Dano's delivery.
00:35:48We're definitely
00:35:49not unscheduled.
00:35:50And the stress
00:35:51is building.
00:35:53Number eight.
00:35:56Hi.
00:35:58It was way more challenging
00:35:59than I thought it would be.
00:36:00Way more challenging.
00:36:01And even when you
00:36:02found the houses,
00:36:03you couldn't find the
00:36:04doors or the letterboxes.
00:36:06Two hours later
00:36:07and they're on the
00:36:08home stretch.
00:36:09What Damien does
00:36:10in one hour
00:36:11has taken them three.
00:36:13Wow, I think
00:36:13that was your quickest.
00:36:15He saves the best
00:36:16till last.
00:36:17I'm absolutely shattered.
00:36:19It was a lot harder
00:36:20than I thought.
00:36:25Becky and Damien
00:36:26are visiting Sue
00:36:27and Nigel's
00:36:28business HQ.
00:36:29It's time to find out
00:36:31how they became
00:36:31millionaires.
00:36:34Cameron,
00:36:35the managing director,
00:36:36is here to show them round.
00:36:38So, welcome.
00:36:40This is the main
00:36:41office floor.
00:36:42Wow.
00:36:42This is where all
00:36:42the staff work.
00:36:44We've got just
00:36:44under 70 staff.
00:36:46The building
00:36:47is a big centre
00:36:48where clients
00:36:49are taught
00:36:50how to start
00:36:50and run a business.
00:36:52So, this is Nigel's office.
00:36:54Please, please,
00:36:54come in.
00:36:55He's got all his books,
00:36:56all his memorabilia
00:36:57and photos and things
00:36:58on the wall.
00:36:59One of his signature shirts.
00:37:00Very colourful,
00:37:01like the rest of his building,
00:37:02to be fair.
00:37:03It's very flamboyant,
00:37:04isn't it?
00:37:05Richard Branson.
00:37:06That was when
00:37:06Richard asked Nigel
00:37:07to help him
00:37:08set up the
00:37:09Branson Centre
00:37:10for Entrepreneurship
00:37:11in Jamaica.
00:37:11Really?
00:37:12Wow.
00:37:15Becky's got her suspicions
00:37:16about their guide,
00:37:17Cameron.
00:37:18She's sure
00:37:19she recognises him.
00:37:21I don't think
00:37:22you're just an MD.
00:37:23I think I've seen
00:37:23your pictures
00:37:24all around the house.
00:37:25Nigel is my father.
00:37:27He is my dad.
00:37:28Entrepreneurs Local,
00:37:29it's a family business.
00:37:30There's a few of us,
00:37:31actually.
00:37:31There's obviously
00:37:32Nigel
00:37:33and my mum
00:37:34started it
00:37:34and then there's
00:37:35myself,
00:37:36Managing Director,
00:37:36my brother Elliot.
00:37:37He heads up our marketing.
00:37:39It's a little family unit.
00:37:40What do you guys do for work?
00:37:41So,
00:37:42I clean for my little old people
00:37:43on a certain day
00:37:45and then I also work
00:37:46in a residential
00:37:47care setting.
00:37:49Well,
00:37:50how about you,
00:37:50Damien?
00:37:50What do you do?
00:37:51I'm in the parcel
00:37:52delivery business.
00:37:53I work between
00:37:54six and seven days a week.
00:37:55We don't get much time
00:37:56for each other.
00:37:58I can't remember
00:37:59the last time
00:37:59we had a date night.
00:38:00It'd be nice just to get
00:38:01dressed up and go out.
00:38:03Yeah.
00:38:03It's just something
00:38:04we can never do,
00:38:04unfortunately.
00:38:05So,
00:38:07you all right, babe?
00:38:07I'm fine.
00:38:08I don't cry normally.
00:38:10I'm hard-faced normally.
00:38:11That's what a cur and
00:38:12care will do to you.
00:38:15Once Becky's
00:38:16had a few minutes,
00:38:17Cameron gets
00:38:18straight to the point.
00:38:20It's his job
00:38:20to help people
00:38:21achieve their business dreams.
00:38:23So do Becky
00:38:24and Damien
00:38:24have any?
00:38:26So I'd love to own
00:38:26my own care business.
00:38:28I hate the way
00:38:28it's run at the moment
00:38:29because the people
00:38:31who have care
00:38:32in their own homes
00:38:33don't have enough time.
00:38:34Fifteen minutes
00:38:35isn't enough.
00:38:37So you go in,
00:38:38you do your meds.
00:38:39You've got no time
00:38:40for personal care.
00:38:41You've got no time
00:38:41for nothing.
00:38:42So I'd love to change
00:38:42the way it all works out.
00:38:45And what about Damien?
00:38:46I've had a business
00:38:47in my mind
00:38:48for a long time.
00:38:49I'd like to own
00:38:50my own car valentine business.
00:38:51Car valentine,
00:38:52honestly,
00:38:52we have so many members.
00:38:54Who have
00:38:54really successful
00:38:56car valeting businesses.
00:38:58Cameron has tons
00:39:00of experience
00:39:00deciding if an idea
00:39:02will fly or flop.
00:39:04So Becky,
00:39:04you were talking
00:39:05about reinventing
00:39:06the care industry,
00:39:07you know,
00:39:07having your own
00:39:08care agency.
00:39:10That comes with red tape
00:39:11and external factors
00:39:14that we need
00:39:14to look into.
00:39:15And then Damien's got
00:39:16the car valeting concept.
00:39:18We could start
00:39:19Damien's business
00:39:20today.
00:39:21So it might be worth
00:39:22at the start
00:39:22honing in
00:39:23on one concept.
00:39:25We have a think
00:39:26about which idea
00:39:27we want to prioritise
00:39:29and then maybe
00:39:30flesh it out
00:39:32a little bit.
00:39:33Yeah.
00:39:33Come back
00:39:34and we can help you
00:39:35actually put a plan
00:39:36in place.
00:39:38Becky and Damien
00:39:39have a lot
00:39:40of thinking to do.
00:39:41Straight after the
00:39:45meeting,
00:39:46Cameron rings
00:39:47mum and dad
00:39:47to report in.
00:39:49Hello.
00:39:50Hi there.
00:39:51How are you?
00:39:52How are you doing?
00:39:53Now then,
00:39:54have you met
00:39:55Becky and Damien?
00:39:56Yes.
00:39:58They've come to the office.
00:39:59They've got two
00:40:00business ideas
00:40:01that they're interested
00:40:01in looking at.
00:40:03Becky wants to start
00:40:04a care agency
00:40:05and Damien
00:40:07wants to start
00:40:07this car valeting business.
00:40:09You think they're
00:40:09definitely people
00:40:11that we could get
00:40:11behind and support?
00:40:14Absolutely.
00:40:15They're just such
00:40:15great people.
00:40:16We really want
00:40:16to help them succeed.
00:40:18We've got a bit more
00:40:19to think about here
00:40:20now in terms of
00:40:20what we should
00:40:22and could do
00:40:23to perhaps help
00:40:25them in some way.
00:40:27It has been really
00:40:27helpful as this.
00:40:28Thank you ever so much.
00:40:29In many ways,
00:40:30almost like the worst
00:40:31thing you could do
00:40:31is start two businesses
00:40:33at once.
00:40:34That does make me
00:40:36very nervous for them.
00:40:37We'll see you soon.
00:40:38Bye.
00:40:39Bye.
00:40:41After the emotion
00:40:45of meeting with Cameron,
00:40:47Becky's having
00:40:48some chill time.
00:40:52I could spend
00:40:52hours in this garden.
00:40:53It's so serene
00:40:54and beautiful
00:40:55and relaxing
00:40:56and there's no mess
00:40:57anywhere.
00:40:58It doesn't happen
00:41:00by magic.
00:41:01Rob the gardener
00:41:02is hard at work.
00:41:04I can't believe
00:41:04Nigel and Sir
00:41:05have got a gardener.
00:41:05He's coming home
00:41:06in my pocket.
00:41:09Just out of curiosity,
00:41:10how much does it cost
00:41:11to maintain the garden
00:41:12like this?
00:41:13About £600-$700
00:41:14a month.
00:41:14Wow.
00:41:15It's a big garden.
00:41:17It's huge.
00:41:18Wow.
00:41:18It goes all the way
00:41:19down to the park.
00:41:20And do you come out
00:41:21weekly or monthly?
00:41:22Every Thursday
00:41:23for 19 years.
00:41:25Wow.
00:41:25The gardener
00:41:27a month
00:41:28is more than my rent.
00:41:29It just astounds me.
00:41:30I'm gobsmoked.
00:41:32Missed a bit.
00:41:37Yeah, let's have a look.
00:41:38With no gardener
00:41:41in Lincoln
00:41:42to tidy things up
00:41:43Oh, pink.
00:41:44Perfect.
00:41:45Sue and Nigel
00:41:46are on weeding duty.
00:41:47Oh.
00:41:49And
00:41:49a fork.
00:41:52Natalie,
00:41:53the next door neighbour,
00:41:54is supervising.
00:41:57You've got a lovely gardener.
00:41:58I've seen it out the window.
00:41:59Oh, thank you.
00:42:00They do definitely
00:42:01want all this stuff out,
00:42:02all this coming out.
00:42:03These are definitely weeds.
00:42:04They're definitely weeds.
00:42:05Becky's sometimes out here.
00:42:06I was trying to get them up.
00:42:07Do you do all your weeding
00:42:09at your house?
00:42:11Natalie, I'll let you
00:42:12into her secrets.
00:42:13Please.
00:42:13I've not done any weeding
00:42:14since 1983.
00:42:16Yeah, we're very fortunate,
00:42:17Natalie.
00:42:17We've got a gardener.
00:42:20How long have you lived here, Natalie?
00:42:22About seven, eight years.
00:42:23Are they good neighbours?
00:42:24They are lovely neighbours
00:42:26who do anything for anybody.
00:42:27I mean, we help each other weeding.
00:42:30I like your car.
00:42:31It's lovely.
00:42:33Damo likes his cars, doesn't he?
00:42:35He does.
00:42:35He loves his cars.
00:42:36He wanted to set up
00:42:38a volatine business.
00:42:40That would be something
00:42:41that he'd be really good at.
00:42:42From what you know about him,
00:42:43do you think he'd make
00:42:44a success of it?
00:42:44I think he'd find it hard,
00:42:46but I do think
00:42:47with a bit of help
00:42:48and support and guidance,
00:42:49he probably would be
00:42:50really good doing it.
00:42:51Yeah, I think he would.
00:42:53Well, we'll see you again soon.
00:42:54Yeah.
00:42:55Cheers.
00:42:55Bye-bye.
00:42:55Food for thought
00:42:57for Sue and Nigel.
00:42:59Really enjoyed meeting Natalie.
00:43:01She was lovely.
00:43:02I'd be very happy
00:43:02if Natalie was my next-door neighbour.
00:43:06Damien's joined Becky in the garden.
00:43:08They've a big decision to make.
00:43:10After their meeting with Cameron,
00:43:11do they want to try
00:43:12and develop Becky's care business
00:43:14or Damien's car valeting?
00:43:17So I've been thinking,
00:43:18obviously, like Cameron said,
00:43:19obviously, there's a lot more red tape
00:43:21and I think we've looked like
00:43:22with my idea.
00:43:24Yeah.
00:43:24Me, personally,
00:43:26I'd prefer and like
00:43:27to go with your idea.
00:43:28It's just hard
00:43:29because I feel like
00:43:30I'm taking your dream
00:43:31away from you.
00:43:32We can work on this one together
00:43:33and actually maybe
00:43:34spend some time together
00:43:35doing it.
00:43:37And then, like,
00:43:37maybe in ten years' time,
00:43:38whatever,
00:43:39we can then put my plan
00:43:40and instruction
00:43:40if that's OK with you.
00:43:42You're welcome.
00:43:43I love you.
00:43:43I love you more.
00:43:46There's some timings in life.
00:43:47You think to yourself,
00:43:49it's about time
00:43:49I started to reap the benefits
00:43:51for my hard labour.
00:43:56Coming up,
00:43:57Becky and Damien
00:43:58present their business plan.
00:44:00I was OK.
00:44:01It was Damien that was really nervous.
00:44:03He was shaking.
00:44:05Sue's shaking with cold,
00:44:06but they also make a decision.
00:44:08Look at that.
00:44:09We should sort that rubbish out.
00:44:10We should get it.
00:44:11Definitely.
00:44:13Damien gets to cross an item
00:44:14off his bucket list.
00:44:16It felt like a bird
00:44:17floating in the wind.
00:44:18It was amazing.
00:44:19But not all of the family
00:44:20is so keen.
00:44:21I found skydiving quite scary.
00:44:23It's something
00:44:24I wouldn't do again.
00:44:32Two families have swapped houses.
00:44:34The sort of house
00:44:35that I look at
00:44:36and dream of owning.
00:44:37It's beautiful, isn't it?
00:44:38Look at all the little gnomes.
00:44:40We don't have any gnomes.
00:44:41This will be a first time.
00:44:42Both have had their fair share
00:44:44of surprises.
00:44:45The gardener, a month,
00:44:46is more than my rent.
00:44:49I've been in the supermarket
00:44:49three times in 25 years.
00:44:51And their ups and downs.
00:44:53I don't cry normally.
00:44:54I'm hard-faced normally.
00:44:56That's what a career and care
00:44:57will do to you.
00:44:57Number eight.
00:44:59I'm definitely not on a schedule.
00:45:02Day five.
00:45:04Doing a skydive
00:45:05is one of Damien's
00:45:06ultimate ambitions,
00:45:07so he's booked
00:45:08a training session.
00:45:11At £44 per person,
00:45:13it's not cheap,
00:45:14but today
00:45:15the whole family
00:45:16is giving it a go.
00:45:20Damien's first
00:45:21on the runway.
00:45:25And with all the
00:45:26pre-flight checks completed,
00:45:28he's ready for take-off.
00:45:29Watching Damien do
00:45:35the skydive today,
00:45:37I've never seen
00:45:38him smile so much
00:45:39and it's something
00:45:40he's always wanted to do.
00:45:42Becky's next in the queue,
00:45:44but it doesn't go as planned.
00:45:48I've got a big snozzer.
00:45:50It just causes pressure
00:45:51up my nose
00:45:52and that's one thing
00:45:52I don't like
00:45:53and the stress of it
00:45:54and it was trying
00:45:55to figure out
00:45:55the breathing.
00:45:55Ties last to head
00:45:58for the skies
00:45:59or attempt to.
00:46:02Skydiving,
00:46:02quite scary.
00:46:03It's something
00:46:03I wouldn't do again,
00:46:05but if you gave me
00:46:08a spider and told me
00:46:09to hold it,
00:46:09I'd do that instead.
00:46:12Unfortunately,
00:46:13take-off's cancelled
00:46:14for today.
00:46:20£132 for the three
00:46:21of them.
00:46:22So was it money
00:46:23well spent?
00:46:24Felt like a bird
00:46:25floating in the wind.
00:46:26It was amazing.
00:46:27Something I would
00:46:28love to try again.
00:46:35Sue and Nigel
00:46:36are used to
00:46:37a luxurious heated pool.
00:46:39It's taken them
00:46:40five days
00:46:40to pluck up
00:46:41enough courage
00:46:42to brave
00:46:42the paddling pool.
00:46:46Racing,
00:46:46it's racing.
00:46:52Sue does not
00:46:52like the cold.
00:46:53The actual
00:46:55getting into the pool
00:46:56was a little bit
00:46:57traumatic.
00:46:58Well done, darling.
00:46:59Wiggle your toes.
00:47:00Wiggle your toes.
00:47:02Honestly,
00:47:02where's the sunshine?
00:47:04I mean,
00:47:04sitting in the pool,
00:47:05what is strikingly
00:47:06obvious is that
00:47:07big pile of rubbish.
00:47:09Look at that.
00:47:10Yeah.
00:47:12We should sort
00:47:13that rubbish out.
00:47:14We should get rid of it.
00:47:15Definitely.
00:47:16Otherwise,
00:47:17they're trying to relax,
00:47:18but all they're doing
00:47:18is thinking about that.
00:47:19They can't really
00:47:20relax properly.
00:47:22If we can get
00:47:23the garden sorted,
00:47:24maybe that could
00:47:25become the place
00:47:26where Becky and Damien
00:47:28make their big decisions
00:47:30for their business.
00:47:32Let's get in.
00:47:32Let's get a warm shower.
00:47:37Let's go.
00:47:39Becky and Damien
00:47:40are about to present
00:47:41Cameron and his team
00:47:43with the business idea
00:47:44they've chosen.
00:47:46When we went
00:47:46into the meeting,
00:47:48I was okay.
00:47:49It was Damien
00:47:49that was really nervous.
00:47:50He was shaking.
00:47:52We've definitely
00:47:52come up with
00:47:53a plan and a solution.
00:47:55Will they?
00:47:55Oh, drum roll.
00:47:58So we are going
00:47:59to be leaning
00:47:59towards my way.
00:48:01The car balloting.
00:48:02Oh.
00:48:04So what do you think
00:48:04is stopping you
00:48:05from starting this,
00:48:07J-M-O?
00:48:08You've clearly been
00:48:08thinking about it
00:48:09for a while.
00:48:09Getting started
00:48:10into it,
00:48:11you're going to need
00:48:13some sort of backing.
00:48:14To start off,
00:48:15it would have to be
00:48:16a mobile balloting service.
00:48:18You're going to need
00:48:18a vehicle of some sort.
00:48:20Yeah.
00:48:21Cameron can see
00:48:22another problem.
00:48:23You're working
00:48:24six, seven days a week
00:48:25sometimes.
00:48:26So realistically,
00:48:28when are we going
00:48:28to actually have time
00:48:31to commit to this?
00:48:32Is the plan to
00:48:33cut back on the work?
00:48:36Yeah.
00:48:36Well, as it is,
00:48:38I could drop down
00:48:40from a full-time position
00:48:41to a part-time position.
00:48:42A part-time position
00:48:43would only be
00:48:44a 25-hour week.
00:48:46While you do that,
00:48:46I can take extra shifts.
00:48:48While I'm off,
00:48:49like my evenings,
00:48:50I could promote it.
00:48:52Like social media,
00:48:53tuk-tuk,
00:48:53because I love my tiki-tok.
00:48:54It's a mistake.
00:48:55Absolutely.
00:48:56I think there's
00:48:57tremendous potential here.
00:48:59A 40-pound deep clean,
00:49:01you could find
00:49:0220 businesses
00:49:03that each have
00:49:05eight cars.
00:49:06That's 160 cars a month.
00:49:09That's 6,400 pounds
00:49:11a month in revenue.
00:49:13It's like more than
00:49:14what we earn
00:49:14both together, isn't it?
00:49:15It is in a month, yeah.
00:49:16Suddenly, instead of
00:49:17working three jobs
00:49:19and crazy hours,
00:49:20we're working
00:49:2020 days a month.
00:49:22The key is
00:49:23making that choice
00:49:24to actually start.
00:49:27I can't wait to go home
00:49:28and actually
00:49:28put this plan into action
00:49:30and see if we can
00:49:31actually get it
00:49:32off the ground.
00:49:32I can see
00:49:35a light at the end
00:49:36of the tunnel.
00:49:38Mind the noblest car.
00:49:41Up in Lincoln,
00:49:43Sue and Nigel
00:49:44have hired a van
00:49:45so they can clear
00:49:45the rubbish
00:49:46from the garden.
00:49:48Can you manage?
00:49:48Yeah.
00:49:51I can see why
00:49:52it would depress them
00:49:53looking at that
00:49:54pile of rubbish.
00:49:55So I'm hoping
00:49:56that they're going to be
00:49:56pleased with our
00:49:58little surprise.
00:50:00What's interesting
00:50:01is how quickly
00:50:02we've been able
00:50:03to sort this
00:50:03in a couple of hours
00:50:05but the key thing,
00:50:06the blocker for them
00:50:06has been the van,
00:50:07hasn't it?
00:50:08There's no way
00:50:09of getting rid of it.
00:50:11That is such a good job.
00:50:13Clearing all the rubbish
00:50:14and taking it to the tip
00:50:15was hard work
00:50:16but we're not afraid
00:50:18of hard work
00:50:19and we have the time
00:50:22to do it
00:50:22and the resources.
00:50:23You can't pitch
00:50:30for a valeting service
00:50:31and have Sue's
00:50:32unwashed car
00:50:32sitting in the driveway.
00:50:34Once Deimo
00:50:35starts giving it
00:50:36a good valet
00:50:37I think it's going
00:50:37to look amazing.
00:50:41I love cleaning cars
00:50:42because a clean car
00:50:44makes you feel happy.
00:50:47It is a passion.
00:50:48It's something
00:50:49that I could quite
00:50:49happily do
00:50:50over a long period
00:50:52of time.
00:50:54Nice working with Ty
00:50:55today.
00:50:56Showed them
00:50:56a few more
00:50:57different little things
00:50:58that need to be done
00:50:59while valeting a car.
00:51:01That's really good.
00:51:02Becky's already
00:51:03thinking publicity.
00:51:05A fully valeted
00:51:06top of the range
00:51:07Tesla will look
00:51:08great on social media.
00:51:10Oh wow,
00:51:10that smells amazing,
00:51:11Deimo.
00:51:12So you've done
00:51:13a really good job,
00:51:14see?
00:51:14You can do it
00:51:15and you know you can.
00:51:19Next,
00:51:20flat pack furniture,
00:51:22the ultimate marriage
00:51:23test for Sue and Nigel.
00:51:24That bit on the outside,
00:51:25if the chairs
00:51:26are going to go together.
00:51:27Meanwhile,
00:51:28Damien and Becky
00:51:29go on a £1,500
00:51:30shopping spree.
00:51:32How much was it?
00:51:33You don't need to know.
00:51:35And for both families,
00:51:36there's a last night
00:51:37to remember.
00:51:38How are we looking?
00:51:40Fabulous.
00:51:41Cheers.
00:51:41Cheers.
00:51:44Am I getting used
00:51:44to this high life?
00:51:46I am,
00:51:47unfortunately.
00:51:55Stepping away
00:51:56from their millionaire
00:51:57lifestyle for a week
00:51:59has given Sue and Nigel
00:52:00a bit of a culture shock.
00:52:01Tinned potatoes?
00:52:03I've never seen
00:52:04them before.
00:52:06Even having
00:52:06a morning coffee
00:52:07has proved challenging
00:52:08for both families.
00:52:10Don't know
00:52:10where the beans are though.
00:52:12Oh.
00:52:13Instant coffee.
00:52:15And Becky and Damien
00:52:16have made a big decision.
00:52:18Drum roll.
00:52:21So we are going to be
00:52:22leaning towards
00:52:22my way.
00:52:24The car malleting.
00:52:24Day six in upmarket
00:52:33Solly Hall.
00:52:34It's time for a
00:52:35spending spree.
00:52:37After paying for
00:52:37the first night
00:52:38takeaway,
00:52:39the home groceries
00:52:40delivery and skydiving,
00:52:41they've still got
00:52:42over £1,500
00:52:43left from their
00:52:44£2,000 spending budget.
00:52:50Becky and Damien
00:52:51would love to get married,
00:52:52so Damien's going to
00:52:53spend some of the money
00:52:54on an engagement ring.
00:52:56And there's a story
00:52:57to be told.
00:52:59After she broke hers
00:53:01a few years back,
00:53:02I had no money at the time.
00:53:04She had to buy her own.
00:53:06Moist tonight is the stone.
00:53:07OK.
00:53:07And it has very
00:53:09beautiful facets.
00:53:11Yeah, it does look
00:53:12very nice and shiny.
00:53:13She likes things
00:53:13that go bling.
00:53:15To be able to go
00:53:16out today
00:53:16and pick out a ring
00:53:18that I knew she would love
00:53:19made me feel
00:53:20amazing.
00:53:22Made me feel like
00:53:23the best man in the world.
00:53:25With unaccustomed
00:53:26cash in their pocket,
00:53:27Becky and Ty
00:53:28have also been spending up.
00:53:30Tonight,
00:53:31they'll all swap presents.
00:53:32Susie,
00:53:36it's arrived.
00:53:37What have?
00:53:38The love seat.
00:53:39Sue and Nigel
00:53:40want to make the garden
00:53:41into a relaxing space
00:53:42where Becky and Damien
00:53:44can brainstorm
00:53:45their business ideas.
00:53:46They've dipped
00:53:47into their own pockets
00:53:48and bought some
00:53:49new furniture.
00:53:50The bottom
00:53:50right leg frame.
00:53:52Bring that one back
00:53:53a minute.
00:53:53Bring that one back.
00:53:54I see now
00:53:55what this is now.
00:53:55I see what this is now.
00:53:56Yeah,
00:53:57the wider bit goes
00:53:57at the back,
00:53:58doesn't it?
00:53:58Hold on,
00:53:58hold on.
00:54:00Unfortunately,
00:54:01DIY isn't their forte.
00:54:03I need some C's.
00:54:04No reference
00:54:05of two and four.
00:54:07You need that bit
00:54:08on the outside
00:54:08if the chairs
00:54:09are going to go together
00:54:10like that.
00:54:11If ever there was
00:54:12a test of a marriage,
00:54:13this is it.
00:54:15Are you sure
00:54:16it's the left one
00:54:17not the right one?
00:54:18I'm feeling really good
00:54:20about the garden now.
00:54:21Cleared all the rubbish.
00:54:23We've built the love seat
00:54:24that we ordered,
00:54:26which I think
00:54:26is a nice addition.
00:54:27and it's now looking
00:54:28a really nice space.
00:54:30Have a seat.
00:54:32Oh, good work.
00:54:34That is good, darling.
00:54:36Well done.
00:54:39It's the last night
00:54:40in Sully Hall
00:54:41and it starts
00:54:42with gift giving.
00:54:43So today,
00:54:45I thought I'd treat
00:54:45you to a new ring.
00:54:47I hope you like it.
00:54:49Oh, wow.
00:54:51Oh, thank you.
00:54:53Oh, thank you.
00:54:55A bit of me,
00:54:56it's a bit of bling bling
00:54:56and it's big.
00:54:57I like big bling bling.
00:54:59He's done well.
00:54:59He's done me proud.
00:55:01Damien's not going
00:55:02to be left out.
00:55:03Becky and Ty
00:55:04bought him a present too.
00:55:07We have a little surprise
00:55:08for you.
00:55:08We know you've wanted
00:55:09one for ages
00:55:10and you've been quite upset
00:55:11over the fact
00:55:12you haven't gotten one.
00:55:12So, we got you a new one.
00:55:17That's for me and Ty.
00:55:17Oh, my good Lord.
00:55:20And it's the newest one.
00:55:21It is?
00:55:22It is.
00:55:22Damien loves his computer games
00:55:24but his console broke.
00:55:26The new one cost
00:55:27£355.
00:55:28How much was it?
00:55:31You don't need to know.
00:55:33So, as a founder,
00:55:34we bought a console
00:55:35as a surprise.
00:55:37We bought
00:55:38tracksuits.
00:55:41We bought
00:55:41perfumes
00:55:42that we'd never
00:55:43be able to afford.
00:55:45Quite the shopping spree
00:55:46and there's nothing
00:55:48left of their
00:55:48£2,000 spending budget.
00:55:51It was refreshing
00:55:52but I could never
00:55:53go out and spend
00:55:53that much money again.
00:55:55Thank you, sir.
00:55:56Love you, man.
00:55:57Love you, too.
00:56:01The last night in Lincoln
00:56:02is a cheap night in.
00:56:04Hey, Susie.
00:56:05Look who's here.
00:56:06Look, he's come back.
00:56:08Darren's back
00:56:08to charge up
00:56:09the karaoke machine.
00:56:11And I brought
00:56:11some gifts.
00:56:12Oh.
00:56:13To get you
00:56:14in the spirit.
00:56:15Oh, fantastic.
00:56:16Wow.
00:56:17This is going to be fun.
00:56:18I didn't expect
00:56:19to be doing karaoke
00:56:20with the drag queen
00:56:21in Lincoln.
00:56:22How are we looking?
00:56:24Fabulous.
00:56:25Cheers.
00:56:25Cheers.
00:56:26To be honest,
00:56:27I was dreading
00:56:28karaoke night.
00:56:30Coming round the mountain
00:56:32when she comes.
00:56:34She'll be coming
00:56:36round the mountain
00:56:37when she comes.
00:56:39I am the world's
00:56:40worst singer
00:56:41but, you know,
00:56:42Darren came
00:56:42and he made it
00:56:43a really fun night.
00:56:44It didn't cost us anything
00:56:45and, you know what,
00:56:46I actually
00:56:47really enjoyed it.
00:56:48Coming for it,
00:56:50carry me home.
00:56:57On special occasions,
00:56:59Sue and Nigel
00:56:59treat the whole family
00:57:01to a dinner
00:57:01cooked by a private chef
00:57:03with butler service.
00:57:05Tonight,
00:57:06they're treating
00:57:06Becky and Damien
00:57:07to their last taste
00:57:08of the rich life.
00:57:10Nigel, you'll be here, sir.
00:57:11Thank you very much.
00:57:12You're very welcome.
00:57:13It was lovely to sit back
00:57:15and be waited on hand and foot.
00:57:18We're going to start
00:57:19with our burrata salad.
00:57:20Burrata,
00:57:21it's an Italian cheese,
00:57:22similar with mozzarella.
00:57:23I think it's quite nice.
00:57:25You like it?
00:57:26Surprisingly.
00:57:28It's what you get
00:57:28in a fancy restaurant,
00:57:29isn't it?
00:57:29Yes.
00:57:30They love their steaks
00:57:31and the main course
00:57:33is the ultimate experience.
00:57:35Slices from a Chateau Briand
00:57:36that costs 75 pounds.
00:57:38It's the head of the fillet.
00:57:40It's 32 days dry aged,
00:57:42so it has an amazing flavor.
00:57:44Having a professional chef
00:57:46and then served by a butler,
00:57:48it was immense.
00:57:49It was amazing.
00:57:51Ladies and gentlemen,
00:57:51your dessert.
00:57:55After spending a week
00:57:56in luxury,
00:57:57returning home tomorrow
00:57:58won't be easy.
00:58:00Am I getting used
00:58:01to this high life?
00:58:02I am, unfortunately.
00:58:05It's going to be a shame
00:58:06to give it all up,
00:58:07but maybe I'm not going
00:58:08to give it up for long.
00:58:09Who knows?
00:58:10Let's see what the future holds.
00:58:14Next,
00:58:14while some want to return home...
00:58:17I can't wait
00:58:17to make a lovely cup of coffee.
00:58:20Others aren't so keen.
00:58:22I want to stay.
00:58:23Do you think they'll let me stand?
00:58:24Nice to meet you.
00:58:24But when the families meet...
00:58:26We've been building up
00:58:27to this all week.
00:58:29Lives are changed.
00:58:31It's outside, huh?
00:58:38Care worker Becky
00:58:43and parcel delivery guide Damien
00:58:45have had a week
00:58:46living the rich life.
00:58:48If money was no object,
00:58:49I'd have one of these
00:58:49bars at home.
00:58:51Wealthy business couple
00:58:52Sue and Nigel
00:58:53have had a taste of life
00:58:55on Struggle Street.
00:58:56You can smell the damn thing.
00:58:57But Becky and Damien
00:59:01have plans
00:59:02to improve their lives.
00:59:04I'd like to wear
00:59:04my own car violence for this.
00:59:05We could start
00:59:06Damien's business today.
00:59:10Day seven.
00:59:12Time for everyone
00:59:13to pack up and leave.
00:59:15I know what you're
00:59:15looking forward to
00:59:16when we get home.
00:59:17Your coffee machine.
00:59:20Yes, definitely.
00:59:21I can't wait
00:59:22to make a lovely cup of coffee.
00:59:24In Solihull,
00:59:26Becky and Damien
00:59:27have mixed feelings.
00:59:28I'm quite excited
00:59:29to go back to work
00:59:30if I'm honest.
00:59:32I want to stay.
00:59:33Do you think
00:59:33they'll let me stay?
00:59:34Shall I see
00:59:34if I rent a room to you?
00:59:35Yeah, please.
00:59:36I'll come and see you
00:59:37every weekend.
00:59:38No problem.
00:59:41Halfway between their houses,
00:59:42the families have arranged
00:59:43to meet up at a pub.
00:59:45Finally,
00:59:46they'll get a chance
00:59:47to talk face to face.
00:59:50Well, good morning.
00:59:51How are you doing?
00:59:52All right.
00:59:52I'm doing good, thanks.
00:59:53Nice to meet you.
00:59:54Nice to meet you.
00:59:55How are you doing?
00:59:56All right.
00:59:56You're all right.
00:59:57Wow.
00:59:58We've been building
00:59:59up to this all week.
01:00:02Did you enjoy the shoebox?
01:00:04I'm not going to lie.
01:00:05That pool is a bit chilly.
01:00:08It gets a bit cold,
01:00:09doesn't it?
01:00:10It's not like your pool.
01:00:11I love your garden.
01:00:12I didn't want to leave it
01:00:13this morning.
01:00:14Your house is just
01:00:14beautiful.
01:00:15It's amazing.
01:00:16I mean,
01:00:16I think on the face of it,
01:00:18our houses
01:00:18do look very different.
01:00:20Yeah.
01:00:20But actually,
01:00:20once you get inside,
01:00:21we felt there were
01:00:23so many similarities.
01:00:24Yeah.
01:00:25It's all the photos
01:00:25on the wall,
01:00:26all the memories.
01:00:27We'd never seen
01:00:28so many gnomes before.
01:00:29I'm addicted, aren't I?
01:00:30Yeah, you are.
01:00:30I love my gnomes.
01:00:32And Natalie made sure
01:00:33that we didn't miss
01:00:34a single weed.
01:00:36Did you actually do some
01:00:37weeding?
01:00:37Natalie wouldn't let me get up
01:00:38until I've finished
01:00:39every one.
01:00:39She was a hard taskmaster.
01:00:43She was.
01:00:44To have neighbours
01:00:46that care for you
01:00:48and that you care for as well
01:00:50is a really special thing.
01:00:52They're like family,
01:00:53aren't they?
01:00:53Yeah, they are.
01:00:53We haven't got that.
01:00:54I was surprised
01:00:56to learn just how hard you work.
01:00:59And the long shifts
01:00:59that you both do.
01:01:02That means a lot
01:01:02to come from someone like you.
01:01:04You shouldn't be working
01:01:05that hard
01:01:06and have the struggles
01:01:08that you've got.
01:01:10When we read
01:01:10in your welcome letter
01:01:11that your carpets
01:01:12and walls
01:01:13made you feel ashamed,
01:01:15that really made us feel sad.
01:01:17No one should feel like that
01:01:18about their own home,
01:01:19least of all you two.
01:01:21So we've arranged
01:01:23for the guy
01:01:23that decorated our home
01:01:25and he's going to come
01:01:26and redecorate your home.
01:01:31Set a budget of £5,000
01:01:33for the decoration
01:01:34and the carpets
01:01:36so you end up
01:01:39with a home
01:01:39that you're not only
01:01:40really happy in
01:01:41but really proud of as well.
01:01:49That is a lot, isn't it?
01:01:52When it comes to business,
01:01:54first of all,
01:01:56we've been really inspired,
01:01:57haven't we?
01:01:58Yeah, we have.
01:01:58By the ideas
01:02:00that you've got
01:02:00for the two businesses,
01:02:01the car valeting
01:02:02and your own care business.
01:02:05And if you spread yourself
01:02:06too thin,
01:02:08you can cause yourself
01:02:09real problems
01:02:09and sabotage your success.
01:02:11So we really hope
01:02:13that you'll be able
01:02:13to focus on one business
01:02:15so that creates
01:02:16the opportunity
01:02:16to then perhaps
01:02:17do the second one
01:02:18if that's what you want to do.
01:02:20Yeah.
01:02:21So with that in mind,
01:02:23Damo,
01:02:23we'd like to gift you
01:02:27a van.
01:02:28Okay, thank you.
01:02:45It's a van
01:02:46to help you launch
01:02:47your car valeting business.
01:02:49Yeah, okay.
01:02:50And what we're going to do
01:02:51is get it all
01:02:53kitted out for you.
01:02:55Everything you need
01:02:56to get this business off.
01:02:58to the best
01:02:58possible start.
01:03:00Yeah, thank you.
01:03:05So look,
01:03:07whilst the van
01:03:08will get you going,
01:03:10you need knowledge,
01:03:11you need insight.
01:03:12So what we'd like to do
01:03:14if you let us
01:03:15is take you
01:03:16under our wing
01:03:17with regard to the business.
01:03:18We'll help you
01:03:19get it all set up properly
01:03:21so it delivers
01:03:22what you deserve
01:03:23and what we believe
01:03:24you're capable of.
01:03:26We will work hard
01:03:26and we're not
01:03:28going to let you down.
01:03:29We know you will.
01:03:31So Damo,
01:03:32do you want to go
01:03:33and have a look
01:03:33at your van?
01:03:34Really?
01:03:36Is it outside now?
01:03:47Oh, God.
01:03:48I hope you like it.
01:03:50Thank you so much.
01:03:51Thank you so much.
01:03:53Oh, wow.
01:03:55Well, let me show you
01:03:56what we've got inside it.
01:03:57Damo's diamond detailing.
01:03:58That's amazing.
01:04:00Good luck.
01:04:01We'll make that happen.
01:04:02Thank you very much,
01:04:03Nigel.
01:04:03Oh, wow.
01:04:05Look at this.
01:04:07It suits you, babe.
01:04:08Oh, that is lovely.
01:04:09So much.
01:04:10Thank you very much.
01:04:11He looks really at home
01:04:11in there, doesn't he?
01:04:11He does, doesn't he?
01:04:12To me, it's far too much.
01:04:14It is far, far too much.
01:04:15But I am very grateful
01:04:18and I will give 100%.
01:04:19I'm not going to let you down.
01:04:21I want to say thank you again.
01:04:22Well, it's a pleasure.
01:04:23It's not a handout.
01:04:24It's a hand up
01:04:25to help them get properly started.
01:04:28I think they're going to be
01:04:29a really formidable team
01:04:30as well, aren't they?
01:04:31Yeah, no question.
01:04:32They're tight.
01:04:33Our future is looking
01:04:34a hell of a lot brighter now,
01:04:35isn't it?
01:04:35It is.
01:04:36We've got something to have a goal.
01:04:37We've got something to aim for
01:04:38and we can both do it together.
01:04:43It's the end of a long week
01:04:45and time to head home.
01:04:47Oh, it is nice to be back, isn't it?
01:04:49There's a surprise waiting
01:04:51for both families.
01:04:52Oh, wow.
01:04:53There's a new dome.
01:04:55Wow, that is sparkly clean.
01:04:56It's really shiny.
01:04:58He's done a good job
01:04:59with that, hasn't he?
01:05:00Look at that, wow.
01:05:00I've never seen it look this good.
01:05:03The best car valentine in Lincolnshire.
01:05:05It's good.
01:05:08Inside, Becky finds
01:05:10some carpet samples.
01:05:11I'm really excited
01:05:12to get new carpets, babe.
01:05:13It's going to make it
01:05:14look more homely, isn't it?
01:05:15Yeah.
01:05:15And I'm not going
01:05:16to be so ashamed.
01:05:18No surprises
01:05:19where Sue's headed.
01:05:20I admit,
01:05:21I have really missed
01:05:22my coffee machine.
01:05:23In Lincoln,
01:05:26the biggest surprise
01:05:27of all is outside.
01:05:29I'm all excited
01:05:30now the rubbish is gone, babe.
01:05:31It looks better, doesn't it?
01:05:32It does.
01:05:33We can start working,
01:05:34making it a lot more homely.
01:05:35Yeah.
01:05:36So,
01:05:36has the wheat changed
01:05:38the way our families
01:05:39think about money?
01:05:41Money can buy happiness.
01:05:42Yeah.
01:05:42It buys the materialistic things
01:05:44that makes it happier,
01:05:45but it doesn't buy
01:05:46the love that we have.
01:05:47It doesn't, does it?
01:05:48I've known for a long, long time
01:05:51that money doesn't buy happiness,
01:05:53but it does make your life easier
01:05:55because it does give you choices.
01:05:57I recognise that
01:05:59and I'm very grateful for that.
01:06:01I'm going to miss my coffee machine.
01:06:03I know I've said it a lot.
01:06:04I don't care.
01:06:05I'll make one for you.
01:06:06I'm not going to make one every day.
01:06:11Next time.
01:06:12Grab one.
01:06:13They're all the same.
