00:46by cole davies but i love what i see from these guys we saw a good drew adams was riding

00:51in that heat race um nate thrasher as well see what these guys can do in an open track league
00:56how about the rockstar energy factory huskvarner of daxton vennick the 58 right there last week in
01:02st louis in the east-west showdown he had to go by in the last chance qualifier he won that
01:06then finished sixth and elevated himself to third in the championship this guy's having a stellar season
01:12and he's keeping a watchful eye on drew adams well you see him looking over his shoulder
01:16and the reason that he's looking over short he's protecting the inside riding a little defensive
01:22to make sure the 35 of drew adams doesn't come up and try to make a pass up the inside
01:26great pass
01:27by cole davies look at seth hammocker trying to do the same thing you just have to assume jet
01:34that he does not want the 37 to get away and he's got to make every move that cole does
01:40yeah i think what you're going to see here is the typical thing of cole's going to make a move
01:45seth's going to make a move cole's going to make another move seth's going to make another move
01:49and it's just going to be they're going to be going through the pack right now until they get
01:52to the front and once you get to the front i think that it's going to be trying to go
01:56as hard as they
01:57can to get around each other so i think we got a we got a great race on our hands

02:06normally doesn't happen in your situation if you're seth then you try to get around cole and slow
02:11down or you just try to follow him up to me i almost feel like i would want to stop

03:10at his teammate goes the inside line this is where he got daxton bennick not quite close enough yeah you
03:17kind of surprised that nate's running up so hard you know considering where cole is in the championship
03:22but good for him i feel like at this point this is only helping zepp out he has to try

03:28das and bennick because i believe that cole gets around his teammate might just ride off into the
03:32sunset nate thrasher's coming off his best result of the year hasn't been on the podium yet but a
03:38fourth last weekend in st louis was crucial for him to get things back on track right here going back
03:44to the last lap cole needs to be right on the rear tire of thrasher if he wants to absolutely
03:49execute this pass going through the whoops they might watch in the background watch hamica here
03:56comes the kawasaki rider here comes davies almost out of shape again buck wild and that moves right
04:02now both the cole and set in the background yes that went forward it's well in the background but
04:08you know i noticed cole went a little bit farther inside in that last lap that he did and that
04:12daxton makes a nice pass up the inside of nate thrasher that was a beautiful move from daxton
04:21bennick meanwhile let's talk more about seth hamica his wage yeah well this is fun as you watch him go
04:28through that is his mom sally she is not watching the race she never does she sets a clock on

04:34for 13 minutes paces nervously because she doesn't want to watch her son race and then two minutes to go

05:14very very key laps for seth right now because while cole doesn't know he's in second right now he's
05:21going to make up as much time as he possibly can before cole looks back and goes okay sets right

05:27i think he's really going to execute these laps nicely to try and gain as much time while maybe cole's

05:53that was such a simple little mistake right there and i thought he had his save that wasn't major
06:01here's a replay right here so he comes out triple everything is good just gets off balance and his
06:07momentum was going to the left oh man didn't the bike tuck pummels him right there so he was off

06:14right jet see the the tough block grabbed his foot just a little bit to create that extra bit of
06:20momentum for his bike to keep going sideways yeah mama got off free lucky i mean to be able to

06:26back up but what started that he over jumped that triple and got his way too far forward that's what
06:30pushed him off that balance but man tough break he said he was going to hang out he's still in
06:35fourth
06:36place so didn't lose too much but man that's going to be costly as far as going after the win
06:42hopefully we can make it back and salvage the podium that's all we're going to try and go for and

06:47hopefully either he's just trying to kind of hoping if maybe cole makes a mistake in the upcoming
06:52rounds or something else this is devon simonson up against henry miller simonson on the inside
07:00miller makes the inside switch there and through the sand section this is a good scrap for fifth place
07:06yeah i like that inside because we saw what seth did it seems like you can maybe hop out of

07:12that berm and just close the guys off even if they have the more momentum on the outside
07:20here comes devon simonson around the outside and at the moment as we race simonson has the upper hand
07:26on his club mx teammate cody shock these two have been having an awesome season this year going back
07:31and forth yeah they've been going back and forth like you said trade positions each weekend diff but
07:36what a ride by henry miller right here he was working on simonson was able to make the pass
07:43looking comfortable out there
07:49meanwhile we're over the halfway mark quick reminder to stock up on monster energy drinks at kroger
07:57sand sections right here jet you like sand sections i don't mind them when they're in tight sections like
08:03that they're not as fun for sure right when they're in nice moving turns i find them a lot more

08:08especially when they have some nice rollers that you can jump and time together so i i like the sand
08:13especially in outdoors henry miller in this fifth place aboard his mx6 kawasaki that's exactly where he
08:20got season best in detroit a couple of races ago so nice work henry sits behind seth hammock ahead of
08:29devin simonson meanwhile race leader cole davies has blown out to almost a six second advantage
08:34and dude is just rolling right here and i feel like when you get into this position for a rider

08:40caliber of cole this is this i feel like he's just in maintenance or maintaining mode will
08:47ricky for all of you guys just chatting with cole davies yesterday asking about sort of how far he's
08:53come from round one for him to this point now he was just describing how much of a kind of
08:59calmer riding he is more controlled he specifically talked about when he doesn't get the start and it
09:05was a decent start but we didn't see him out there with the whole shot and what he does and
09:09he said
09:09he's just learned to go about being calm in those moments uh working his way forward not panicking not
09:15kind of going i gotta get to the front and over pushing and what we're seeing is a work from
09:19that's
09:19just exactly what we saw today and uh he seems to be learning it very quickly he said nobody told
09:24him that he just figured it out i just feel that we're seeing this rider really develop right in
09:28front of our eyes here this is a lot of boxy you saw hunter lawrence riding towards uh the gate
09:33area
09:33to get ready for his main event look new zealand for a small population produces incredible sports men
09:40and women and sporting accomplishments i can't remember if i said this last week or not but
09:45you may have seen the news story where this young man this teenage sensation cole davies
09:51has captured the attention of fellow new zealand sports people and in the motor sports sphere six
09:56time indy car champ scott dixon nascar sensation shane van gisbergen liam lawson formula one driver
10:03they've all reached out to this young man via social media to congratulate him and to spur him on and
10:09encourage him that's pretty cool stuff no it really is i mean can you imagine seeing that through social
10:13media getting the stars of other sports knowing that they're watching you but everybody in the
10:18motorsports industry whether you're on two or four wheels we all appreciate it like i'm sure cole
10:23watches those guys i know i do so man really cool for those guys to reach out to him and
10:28we're just
10:29luck this is going to be a very generous pickup and points for cole davies towards his quest for this
10:36250 east division championship just four minutes and one four and a half minutes and one lap remaining
10:44here and picking his way through these lappers doing a fantastic job doing that jt he looks incredible
10:51ricky and what i really enjoy about his racing is just the maturity that he shows because
10:57yes riders take risks we've heard and seen seth hammaker kind of have the negative side of that but
11:04also cole took some risk when he made that pass in the whoops he was a little bit out of
11:08shape to
11:08make the pass on thrash but he knew when and where to apply that risk and the rest of the
11:14race he's
11:14been so tremendously patient and such a big part of this is knowing when to push and if i have
11:19to say it
11:20a lot of this reminds me of a young jett lawrence the patience and then an intensity when needed yeah
11:25it does and and another thing that i was really impressed with last year with cole davies in
11:30in his rookie season is when he was getting heat in these races he was really good at just riding
11:36his race he didn't get caught in the moment override the motorcycle if he was being pressured and to have
11:42that amount of self-discipline is very tough as you know jett and and james hard to do that at
11:48a young
11:48age no it's it's i think one of the hardest things as a young kid you have all the energy
11:53in the world and
11:54all you want to do is is win i know as when i was young and i still am you're
11:59so competitive and all
12:00you want to do is win so i think it's a great thing to have knowing when you need to
12:04step it up and and
12:05when you need to you know it back it down like you said in this one he had that little
12:09burst of energy
12:10in the whoops to make a pass and now honestly you just see him flowing he's you don't see any
12:14extra
12:15energy that he's putting in you don't see any extra thing he's trying to pull out just hitting his marks
12:19and doing it and now you see here we're just talking about that see if seth could maybe catch
12:24up to make a uh salvage a podium and he's doing that right now even second place is right there
12:29dak so it's going to get some uh fun racing really soon yeah seth has done a great job at
12:34catching
12:35these guys he was about seven seconds behind him so he's doing everything he understands if he can't
12:39beat cole he needs to finish behind him so great recovery from here right now i think it's a great
12:44opportunity maybe some of these guys get caught up in these lappers but seth's got to try to make
12:48that second place daxton bennick isn't that far off the track either so thrasher is the first one
12:54on seth hammockers list then daxton bennick who is having the best season of his career if he can
13:00finish second here we go hammock against thrasher so he's up to third yeah i was just about to call
13:06that out it felt like uh seth needed to make that pass while nate was more concentrated on that lapper
13:11um he might be able to sneak up the inside great move by him in third place let's see if
13:16we can get
13:16another one yeah he used jeremy hand there as a pick to get by i don't think that uh nate

13:21anticipating that and i think right now these combinations right of in the whoops is the worst
13:29time you have absolutely cupped out beat whoops with dry sling and these edges if people were down
13:37that scene they are like concrete curves so as soon as that thing gets kicked sideways it is so hard

13:43try and get that back time like as you've seen then uh before with sets run through there so it's
13:48it's hairy you're kind of deciding like oh do i jump but they're not broken down as much as like
13:54an east coast with like last weekend they broke down massively you can kind of jump them so he's in

13:59hairy kind of situation of either jumping or skimming but he's still going with skimming because he's
14:05trying to make our passes right now you're listening to the voice of three time and reigning smx 450 world
14:10champion jet lawrence as we watch the 10 of set hammocker close in on daxton bennick this is for
14:16second with less than a minute plus a lap to go in this 250 east division main event here in
14:22nashville
14:22be interesting to see how much of a fight daxton bennick puts up right here because the 10 of set
14:28hammocker has
14:29made up an immense amount of time he is all over him the one thing set hammocker has shown us
14:36time and
14:36again james as he works on bennick here is he can have an incident and he rebounds and recovers so
14:42well
14:43they both go down bennick and hammocker are down oh man treasure goes through to grab second place
14:52oh my goodness what a heartbreak for bennick oh and the 10. that's such a bummer he was putting
15:01in such a great ride too that's such a bummer yeah just a race and incident daxton lost the rear
15:08end
15:08and then seph had that momentum but the because seph almost jumped off the racetrack it actually threw
15:13him wide so he was able to square that corner up and those two collided one more lap to go
15:19for cole
15:19davies he has no idea of the mayhem that has just unfolded behind him final lap and this is going
15:27to
15:28be massive for a guy like devin simonson showing him still fifth right here that'll be a career
15:37best for devin simonson davies is on route to his fourth victory of the year right by this guy this
15:46guy don't even know the carnage that's going on behind him he's like oh that was a pretty nice car
15:50full race oh and this is what he does best stays in control manages everything championship on his mind
16:00gives himself a little confirmation nod there
16:06and in similar fashion to his teammate hayden deegan last weekend it's going to be a 15 plus second win
16:12look at this nodding his head cole davies has done it again and increases his championship lead
16:19in the 250 east division oh here we go simonson getting by bennick this is it looks over over
16:27sir there's miller too henry miller wants a shot these next few seconds he might drop two positions
16:32daxton bennick's got to try and recoup regroup and recover here but he's still shell-shocked from that
16:39knock and that ball nate thrash has grabbed second oh no oh oh he could have had it hammock
16:46against on the podium simonson gets a career best and daxton bennick a second or a third turns into a
16:53fifth wow that's a bummer that's a bummer there's the man at the moment he says let's go well you
