00:12I read one mock draft that said Olivia Miles, the guard from TCU, first overall.
00:19Yet I see one sports book with AZ Fudd as a minus money favorite
00:25to be the first pick on Monday night.
00:28And the relationship between Paige Beckers and AZ Fudd is well known.
00:34We're not dealing in some online rumors here.
00:37We know that they are in a relationship.
00:41We know Paige is the superstar of Dallas.
00:45And I do not think that Paige would hold Dallas's feet to the fire
00:50and say you must draft AZ because I think there are a lot of questions, coach,
00:55about do they want that?
00:57Is that absolutely best for a relationship?
01:00And, again, that's where you start to, you know, the water gets a little bit muddy.
01:05But from respected places, and you're included in this,
01:11I haven't found a lot of people that think AZ Fudd is the best player in this class.
01:17And I'm finding even less people who think AZ Fudd makes the most sense
01:22as the first overall pick in this class.
01:25If you really pull back on it, folks, you could say that AZ Fudd is maybe the fourth best player
01:32in the class
01:32behind Pham Fudd and Lauren Betts.
01:35But let's be completely transparent and honest.
01:38So I'm going to peel back and tell you what I had told our producer, Pat Foster, and Kevin Walsh.
01:44We had a great discussion last week off air about this whole thing a week ago.
01:49And I made the compelling case of Olivia Miles going number one.
01:53Because in a two-point guard system and known at TCU offense,
01:57they run a WNBA-style offense that I think would be perfect for Paige off the ball.
02:03But then Enrique re-signed.
02:06And then that made me start pulling everything back and say, timeout.
02:12AZ Fudd can't go to Dallas because you already have Enrique and Paige,
02:17and you can't play Enrique, Paige, and AZ together.
02:21So then I'm like, huh, maybe you go to Miles.
02:24And then I'm like, no, no, no, no, no.
02:26It's Awa Fem.
02:27And talking to people, this is – I know Kevin and I were big on Malanga.
02:32This could be a better version of Malanga.
02:356'5", shoot the three, dynamic, pulse, athletic.
02:39They're going to be a rim protector from day one.
02:41You give me a lineup of Paige and obviously Enrique together.
02:46They just tied do believe Jessica Shepard from Minnesota.
02:48And you put Awa Fem in that lineup.
02:51Now you're cooking with Grease here.
02:54To me, I think the play should be Awa Fem at the number one pick.
02:58It makes the most sense based on Enrique coming back.
03:02If Enrique did not come back, then you could make that case for Fudd.
03:07Or in my case, I would go for Olivia Miles.
03:10It's going to be – it's going to be very interesting to follow here.
03:15And, you know, look, it's a draft, right?
03:17We can bet on a draft.
03:21I am very curious.
03:24You know, and this will happen when we get to Monday.
03:27They'll post picks for second, our odds for second, third, maybe fourth, right?
03:32It's not going to – you know, it doesn't run NFL draft level deep, NBA draft level deep, of course.
03:36But it's a very – it's a one-of-one spot.
03:41It is probably the only time you will ever see this in your life,
03:47the situation that appears to be on hand right now.
03:51And I'll add this quickly.
03:55I hate for AZ Fudd to be in a Ronnie James-esque spot
04:05where all of the accomplishments and hard work
04:11are now being chalked up to a relationship.
04:15Different, right?
04:17Round two talent, top five talent, different.
04:21But it is a – it is a, you know, a spot now all of a sudden
04:27where some of the merit of Fudd is taking a hit in a way that you hate to see.
