00:00All eyes are on Pakistan as the U.S. and Iranian delegations prepared to meet in Islamabad
00:06for these peace talks that will be getting underway.
00:09Why has Pakistan emerged as a mediator between the U.S. and Iran?
00:15Pakistan has a history of diplomatic posturing.
00:19It has empathy and it has intent to see all issues resolved through diplomacy and talks.
00:27Then Pakistan has this geographical centrality.
00:31Pakistan's leadership, General Asimuneer and Prime Minister Shabazz Sharif,
00:36has close synergy, chemistry and trust with Washington,
00:41as well as pragmatic relations and trust with Tehran.
00:45On the other hand, its defense, political and diplomatic partnership with the heavyweight of the Arab world,
00:52Saudi Arabia, also bring in Rupin in any security architecture that is going to be discussed in these talks.
01:01And also the most important thing, Pakistan has this centrality of its geography,
01:10which offers a hope to the whole world that through negotiations and talks,
01:15let's bring in peace, security for the region and beyond.
01:19And it has an implication for the world economy, for the corporate world,
01:24and for the dignity of the millions of people from Asia to Africa.
01:28So all, as you said, eyes are set and Islamabad is in best place to bring this hope to the
01:35whole world.
