Chinese carmaker Geely uses AI agents to speed up vehicle development
Transcript
00:04Chinese auto giant Jili is using AI agents across every stage of their new vehicle development.
00:11At the company's research institute in East China's Ningbo City, engineers collaborate
00:16with AI-powered digital employees to do things like write code and debug software. Developers
00:23say modern vehicles rely on thousands of software modules, making development increasingly complex.
00:30But with the help of the company's 64 self-developed AI agents, development is speeding up and
00:35efficiency is improving.
00:40With AI's assistance, the overall efficiency of software development has improved by about
00:4530 percent compared to the traditional method. For coding tasks specifically, we're seeing
00:51efficiency gains of up to 50 percent.
00:56Beyond research, AI is also being used inside the cars. In one demonstration, a smart cockpit
01:02system known as EVA responds to voice commands including open-ended requests to plan a road
01:08trip.
01:15Jili is sharing these technologies and others with local auto parts suppliers to help elevate
01:25intelligence and efficiency across the country's entire automotive supply chain. As artificial
01:31intelligence becomes more deeply integrated, the company expects faster development cycles
01:36and smarter vehicles in the years ahead.
