00:00All right, what's up Amayan and today we are talking about an app called WhatsApp.
00:05This is an open source app and it's a very simple material UI based app.
00:10The main function of this app is to save WhatsApp statuses but it also has some tricks up its
00:15sleeve.
00:16Most importantly it helps you preview and save files, recover deleted messages and other
00:22stuff as well.
00:23So let's go ahead and check this app out and we will know what it is made up of.
00:28Here are some screenshots, I will provide the link in the description so you can see
00:33it for yourself.
00:34You click on the status and hit save.
00:36It also has tools like message or number without having to save the number which comes very handy
00:42and also keeps a list of deleted messages as well.
00:47So how we are going to use it, simply go to fdroid and download it.

00:55Also, you can go to github and download the direct apk file as well.
01:01Okay let's get started.
01:03Now all we need to do is install and open up this app.
01:08And this interface looks like this.
01:12First of all we need to grant permission for storage access and second we need to give
01:18it a special app permissions for whatsapp.
01:21After you are given the permissions, you can continue.
01:26And here you can see we have all the status of whatsapp that I have watched.
01:30You can click the arrow icon on above and watch more status updates like I am doing right
01:40now but for privacy reasons I am going to blur it.
01:46Okay after you have watched some statuses, you can refresh it and those status updates
01:51appear here.
01:52Now you can automatically tap on the status that you want to download for yourself and
01:58hit save.
01:59All your save status will be right here and in the gallery section.
02:03This is how you save those status like I did right now.
02:09You can save video status as well.

02:15And all your save status will be in the saved section categorized by image and video.
02:22Okay so what else do we need to do?
02:26Let's see if those appear in the gallery or not.
02:29I am sorry that is not the gallery app.
02:31Here you can see those status are saved in my gallery easy and now I can share it on my
02:37own whatsapp status updates.
02:41Okay this is pretty useful.
02:43I am going to delete those status because I don't need them.
02:48Or you can delete it after you have used it.
02:52So there are some tools.
02:54The first tool is the message number.
02:56All you need to do is type the country code and the number of person that you want to
03:03send a text to and type in your message and hit send.
03:09Okay I just entered a really wrong number.
03:12Make sure you are entering the right number.
03:16Let's see what we are going to do now.
03:19I am going to type in my own number and see if that works or not.
03:24Okay let me find my country code which is Pakistan plus 92 right here.
03:31The rest of the number is hidden for some privacy reasons.
03:37Now once you have entered the number hit send and it will open whatsapp and chat with the
03:43message written itself.
03:45All you have to do is hit the send and the message will be sent.
03:49And you can also delete those messages like any other whatsapp message.
03:55Next feature is the message view feature.
03:58You tap on the message view, accept and continue like this.
04:06Give it some permissions for notification access.
04:11You don't have to worry about it and turn this use message view option on and all those messages
04:17will be displayed right here.
04:20Well if you do not have this option turned on no message will be saved so make sure you
04:25turn it on and the rest of the message will keep on coming and you will have a list of
04:30all those messages notifications.
04:32So let's check some settings.
04:34Here is some night mode.
04:36You can turn on just black if you are using an OLED display.
04:40You can exclude old status, exclude saved status, yup and that is really nice.
04:48Quick deletion, review permissions, yup.
04:53If you get anything wrong you can review permissions and give permissions again and everything will
04:58be working just fine.
05:02Ok, now we can have small whatsapp icon and you can update this app over search or on word
05:09worth wifi only.
05:11Depends on whatever your needs are.
05:16So there is nothing else to talk about.
