02:04The team was surprised to find new evidence that the boulder was covering a back-filled man-made feature or

03:44This is motivating us to look through the rocks, look through the structures.
03:47We've got to look at everything and make sure that we're not missing anything in this.

07:05As the digging operation continues in the Karma One shaft, some 500 feet to the east near Smith's Cove.
07:15That'd be limestone, the piece of pottery.
07:17Charles Barkhouse and other members of the team sift through the excavated spoils that are being processed at the wash
07:25plant.
07:27Installed by Billy Gerhardt and his team, the industrial grade machine moves truckloads of spoils through metal grates, known as
07:36grizzly bars, to remove larger rocks.
07:39The spoils then pass through a tool known as a chopper to break up and remove the thick clay.
07:47From there, they drop onto a shaker deck, where they are sprayed clean with water and then separated by size
07:54onto three conveyor belts, allowing the team to examine them by hand for important clues.

12:22In 1897, treasure hunters Frederick Blair and William Chapel drilled into a believed seven-foot-high
12:29concrete-encased vault at a depth of 153 feet.
12:34In 1931, with the help of William's son, Melbourne, the three men constructed a nearly
12:41160-foot-deep shaft in an unsuccessful attempt to retrieve it.
12:46Is it possible that the team has recovered a clue suggesting they may be close to rediscovering
12:53the so-called chapel vault?
12:56We're thinking that treasure fell to the bottom of the solution channel.
13:00Hopefully today or maybe early tomorrow, we'll be down there.

13:25The bedrock plateau is the thick layer of gypsum, some 160 to 170 feet deep, that the team
13:35has previously encountered just above the solution channel.
13:38This means they have just a few more feet of digging before reaching their target zone where silver had been
13:45detected.
13:46We're getting to the heart of the matter now, guys.
13:48Here we go.
13:49We're going to be boring through the edge of the solution channel on the bedrock plateau, crunching down through.
13:55That's going to be tough cutting from here on in.
13:58We have done a lot of caissons around here, but very few of them have extended beyond the bedrock plateau.
14:03That is very difficult to drill through.
14:05And that causes an immense amount of difficulty for the drillers to try and carry on that hole and down
14:10into the actual solution channel itself.
14:18I think I'm on the rock.

14:25We're in that kind of bad material to drill that we've seen.

14:29So we're going a little bit slower right now because we're pushing through some hard stuff.

14:57We know it's part of the alignment for the cross.
15:01In the northwestern region of the swamp, Tom Nolan is leading a search on his property.
15:06near Cone D.
15:08One of six massive boulders that make up the megalithic feature known as Nolan's Cross.
15:15We're going to stay in the line of the cross and we're going to move towards the headstone.
15:20Because Spani has a theory about the cross.
15:23We could find some artifacts on this and maybe something even bigger than that.

15:32One week ago, RQ astronomy expert Professor Adriano Gaspani presented his analysis that
15:40the eight-sided wooden survey stakes found in the swamp may have been put in place along
15:45with the boulders of Nolan's Cross in the 13th century by members of the Knights Templar.
15:51The two sets of stakes were dated.
15:58Now, because Cone D sets in the swamp near the stakes, Tom hopes to find more clues in
16:05the area that might help prove this incredible theory.

18:30team have just discovered a possible clue, potentially hand-worked blue clay, that has previously
18:38been uncovered in the rounded feature on Lot five, as well as during 19th century digging
18:44operations in the original money pit.
18:46It's concentrated right in this one spot.
18:50That's definitely different, though.

23:12or something to protect something.

25:24then it's going to be valuable to those persons.

25:28who has sufficient resources
25:30that they can pour everything into it
25:32in terms of manpower.
25:34It's almost certainly European.

25:39This could be changing Nova Scotian history.

25:44on different megalithic structures
25:46and megaliths across North America
25:49and even in Europe.
25:50I believe strongly that what we're seeing
25:52is a European megalithic construction.
25:55The indigenous people,
25:57I don't think would have the technology to do it.
25:59You'd need an intimate knowledge
26:00of physics and geometry,
26:02nor would they bother
26:03to move a boulder like that.
26:05So it has to be a European construct.

27:48which means we might be dealing

27:51is untampered with.

27:54to look at this thing
27:55in a modern sense.

27:58the most significant thing.
