Police say a thirty eight year old man has been arrested on suspicion of racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage. The Jami Community and Education Centre in Kingstanding was targeted on two occasions earlier this month.

00:11on Kettle Road in Kingstanding was targeted on the 1st and 3rd of April. A 38-year-old
00:18man was arrested in the area on suspicion of racially or religiously aggravated criminal
00:23damage and remains in police custody. Neighbourhood officers will continue regular patrols in
00:28the area over coming days. Officers say patrols have been increased to reissue a residence.
00:34The force says it understands how upsetting the incidents have been
00:38and remains in contact with mosque leaders and the wider local community.
