00:00:01What did I miss?
00:00:03The traditional Bucks and Hens night...
00:00:08Energy was boring, I'm so sorry.
00:00:11...saw battle lines drawn...
00:00:13Trust me when I tell you this one's gonna be spicy.
00:00:15Neither Beck nor Gia were shy in voicing their opinions of one another.
00:00:20Beck, weird bitch. Gia, your attitude stinks.
00:00:24I'm really, really sorry.
00:00:26I don't think I can marry you.
00:00:29Alyssa's outrageous stunt...
00:00:31Not until we get on one knee and propose to me first.
00:00:34...lept an unforgettable first impression on her new husband, David.
00:00:38You got me good. I have to clap for it, like...
00:00:42We just bounce off each other.
00:00:43Expos matched us well where I can be that calm to her hurricane.
00:00:47Is that what you wanted?
00:00:49And...
00:00:50I've been single for so long. I've got a lot of love to give.
00:00:53I've been single for 14 years. I just want to find love.
00:00:56Tired of the superficiality of the modern dating scene...
00:01:01Stop making my teeth!
00:01:02It's not you!
00:01:03...it was a match made in heaven...
00:01:06My nervous love!
00:01:08...when Rachel married Stephen at first sight.
00:01:12You do look gorgeous today.
00:01:14Stephen made me feel very beautiful.
00:01:16Cheers!
00:01:19Tonight...
00:01:20You come in here with this energy, it's too much.
00:01:23She thinks that this is the first bridezilla I've ever had to deal with.
00:01:26...Gia's fiery wedding day.
00:01:28I don't want you in the limbo.
00:01:30And it's the one thing you don't want to forget on your wedding day.
00:01:34Have you got the reads?
00:01:35Will this groom's mistake ruin his bride's fairy tale?
00:01:41Hi!
00:01:41Where's my husband?
00:01:48As Australia's biggest social experiment continues, newlyweds Alyssa and David are waking up to their first day as husband and
00:01:58wife.
00:02:01Good morning.
00:02:02Good morning.
00:02:03Good morning.
00:02:04Good morning.
00:02:04Had a little bit of a cuddle and, yeah, I went to sleep. I was tired.
00:02:07Just cuddles?
00:02:08Just cuddles.
00:02:10Just cuddles.
00:02:11Just cuddles.
00:02:11He's gonna work for the booty.
00:02:15Morning kisses.
00:02:18How good is my husband?
00:02:21Holy moly.
00:02:22He is, like, incredible.
00:02:26Today, the big, big day.
00:02:29We'll find out where we're going.
00:02:31Oh my god, I'm so excited.
00:02:33He's just such a gentle soul, isn't he?
00:02:35He's just like a gentle giant.
00:02:37Yeah, I feel like he's definitely gonna ground me.
00:02:40Cause I'm a little bit of a rager, you know?
00:02:42I feel like he's gonna be the calm, calm to the storm.
00:02:45I did not expect a relationship with a stranger to feel this easy, straight off the bat.
00:02:51I'm actually very surprised.
00:02:53And I still need to pinch myself because, yeah, it doesn't feel real.
00:02:57Yeah, I'm hungry.
00:02:57What's for breakfast?
00:03:00Oh, you're kidding.
00:03:01Oh my god.
00:03:02Are you gonna do the honors?
00:03:04Absolutely.
00:03:05It will be my pleasure.
00:03:06We need a sip of coffee for this first.
00:03:08Oh my god.
00:03:09Oh my god.
00:03:10Oh my god.
00:03:10Please, somewhere tropical.
00:03:12Not for snow.
00:03:16Good morning, Alyssa and David.
00:03:19It's time for your honeymoon.
00:03:20You're heading to the breathtaking snow-covered peaks of Mount Bala, Victoria.
00:03:33Okay, we're going to the snow game.
00:03:36Never been to the snow.
00:03:38I wasn't programmed for that type of weather conditions, so it'll be interesting.
00:03:42Let's do it.
00:03:43Let's do it.
00:03:44Let's go.
00:03:45Honeymoon time.
00:03:46As an excited Alyssa and David begin packing for their surprise snowy honeymoon, newlyweds
00:03:51Rachel and Stephen are waking up to their first day as Mr. and Mrs. and are reflecting
00:03:57on their magical wedding day.
00:03:59It was fantastic.
00:04:01The ceremony was like, I wouldn't want any other way.
00:04:04Yeah.
00:04:05I really wouldn't.
00:04:05I'm sorry.
00:04:06It was so good.
00:04:07I feel like comfortable already.
00:04:09I'm already feeling really at ease.
00:04:11Like, Steve's just so easy to be around and have a laugh with.
00:04:15I think there's a real focus for both of us on making sure each other is comfortable,
00:04:19which is really nice.
00:04:21Gosh!
00:04:23It's our first one!
00:04:26Oh my gosh.
00:04:29Okay.
00:04:29Damn it.
00:04:30I wasn't prepared for that.
00:04:32Oh my gosh.
00:04:33Okay.
00:04:34You can definitely read it because I'm hopeless at reading.
00:04:37Dear Rachel and Stephen, your honeymoon begins in the rolling hills of Mudgee.
00:04:43You'll be staying beneath the stars where luxury meets nature and romance lingers in the air.
00:04:49Oh my God.
00:04:50This is so cute.
00:04:51I'm kind of like, it'll be nice, you know?
00:04:54Under the stars in Mudgee with some wine, with the rain.
00:04:58Romantic.
00:05:01After you, my lady.
00:05:02Oh, thank you so much, Cancer.
00:05:04As the two couples embark on the next phase of the experiment,
00:05:11in rural Victoria, we meet our next participant,
00:05:1530-year-old farmer Luke, whose search for love was put on hold due to a heartbreaking family tragedy.
00:05:25Being a farmer, my favourite time of day is the morning.
00:05:31Like the early morning when you're seeing sun come up, and it's really crisp and cold and foggy,
00:05:37and it's like super peaceful.
00:05:39It's gorgeous.
00:05:40Dinner, like, where you're sitting down on the porch, overlooking the view.
00:05:44Good girl.
00:05:46You don't need any, like, phone or anything to keep your company because the view's just unreal.
00:05:52You've been through a lot in recent times.
00:05:55Yeah.
00:05:55Can you tell me a little bit about Dad, what's happened, and the impact it's had on you?
00:06:01Yeah, so Dad passed away about six and a half years ago.
00:06:08He passed away due to cancer.
00:06:11Such a positive, you know, enthusiastic person.
00:06:17And being the only son, we were, yeah, extremely close.
00:06:21I felt like Dad was someone I could chat to.
00:06:23And seeing that person in your life, who was a role model, slowly deteriorate.
00:06:32Yeah, he slowly just withered away, and that was really tough to see.
00:06:37It was extremely sad.
00:06:39It had, like, PTSD, I think, from, like, that.
00:06:42And did that have an impact on, you know, you in terms of relationships, dating?
00:06:47Yeah, I'd say it definitely had an effect.
00:06:49I didn't just jump back into a relationship.
00:06:51For me, it felt like I needed to really work on myself
00:06:54and work on all these things that happened within after Dad passing away
00:07:01before I could start to think about dating someone again.
00:07:06Do you think you've been able to process it?
00:07:09You feel like you're in a place now different to the one that you were in before?
00:07:12Oh, absolutely, yeah.
00:07:15Of course I want love.
00:07:17I mean, I feel like love's a huge part of life.
00:07:21And that's been missing for me for a while.
00:07:26I've been single for about five years now.
00:07:29It's hard to find love.
00:07:30It's easy to go on dates.
00:07:31It's hard to find love.
00:07:32So I feel like if this could work for me, that'd be amazing.
00:07:36Like, you skip all that dating process and you get straight to the good part.
00:07:41And my dream girl would be someone who's positive.
00:07:50Doesn't take themselves too seriously.
00:07:54Someone who's quietly confident.
00:07:56but you can be introverted a bit really confident still.
00:08:00I'm attracted to like soft features.
00:08:05I'm attracted to a feminine looking girl.
00:08:09Nice, someone that's like sweet.
00:08:11I really like it, a girly kind of girl.
00:08:16I am a pink girly and I'm looking to find my blue.
00:08:22I love feeling pink.
00:08:24Pink energy, pink aura, whatever you want to call it.
00:08:28And that's because I love feeling, you know, feminine.
00:08:32I love feeling girly.
00:08:35So I want to meet someone that's blue.
00:08:38I want someone that will always carry the grocery bags.
00:08:41I want someone that will always fix the light bulb
00:08:43or put air in my tires.
00:08:46That is my mission.
00:08:47I want to find the blue to my pink
00:08:50and hopefully one day we'll make a purple.
00:08:53I'm Mel, I'm 28 years old
00:08:55and I'm a communication specialist.
00:08:58I would describe myself as a brunette Barbie
00:09:01but I am looking for my Ken.
00:09:03Ken, where are you?
00:09:06My friends are starting to settle down, you know.
00:09:08They're getting married, getting engaged.
00:09:10They're walking down the aisle at their wedding
00:09:12and I'm also walking down the aisle.
00:09:15The aisle at the grocery store
00:09:17to buy my chocolate on a Friday night.
00:09:23I am a romantic.
00:09:25I love romance.
00:09:26Growing up, I watched all the Disney princess films
00:09:29and I want to experience that for myself.
00:09:32I bring a lot of care to the people I love
00:09:34and that's what I also bring in, you know, to a relationship.
00:09:37If you're sick, like, I'll make you soup.
00:09:39If you need to pick you up from somewhere
00:09:41because you have no way home, I'll come and get you.
00:09:44I'm looking for someone who likes building stuff.
00:09:47Fixing stuff is really important.
00:09:49Someone that looks a bit rugged,
00:09:52maybe like a tradie vibe,
00:09:53maybe like a surfer, cross tradie vibe.
00:09:55Things like that definitely make me feel pink.
00:09:58I haven't had a serious relationship in five years
00:10:01and I'm definitely ready to settle down with somebody, you know.
00:10:04I've waited five years, so let's get the ball rolling.
00:10:08Mel is a romantic at heart.
00:10:10She's a true believer in the fairy tale.
00:10:13She wants love.
00:10:14She's very idealistic
00:10:16and she wants a guy who is practical
00:10:18and has a masculine energy
00:10:20because she likes being in her feminine energy.
00:10:24This pairing really excites me.
00:10:26Ultimately, what she really wants
00:10:28is a man with a great big heart
00:10:30and if anybody has that, it's Luke.
00:10:32I think this one has great potential.
00:10:37The latest couple has been unveiled.
00:10:40Mil and Luke.
00:10:51In my opinion, the wedding day is all about the bride.
00:10:58So, I want her to feel special today.
00:11:02It's a really weird feeling
00:11:04knowing that my wife's out there
00:11:05and I haven't met her yet
00:11:08because she's probably thinking the same things I am.
00:11:11Like, I wonder who he is.
00:11:17Yeah, I hope it's like a rom-com kind of wedding.
00:11:20Quite romantic.
00:11:22We, like, get along from the start.
00:11:26You know, our families kind of get along as well.
00:11:29We have a great day.
00:11:32Sparks flying.
00:11:33The rest is history.
00:11:40I'm getting married today.
00:11:46I'm really worried today.
00:11:47Gora is just, like, the perfect fairy tale.
00:11:50I've watched enough rom-com movies to last a lifetime
00:11:53and you see that instant attraction in the movies.
00:12:09This morning, my sister's coming to visit me.
00:12:13My best friend, George,
00:12:14and my best friend, Katie, is coming to visit me.
00:12:16Me, George, and Katie have been best friends
00:12:18since we were 12 years old.
00:12:20So, this is the biggest day of my life.
00:12:22Literally.
00:12:23It's wild that this is...
00:12:25Today's the day.
00:12:26You're going to get married today.
00:12:27You'll be a wife today.
00:12:29And I'm really excited to see that, like,
00:12:31you guys will see him before me.
00:12:34Yeah.
00:12:34You know what I mean?
00:12:35Like, you...
00:12:35I didn't even think about that,
00:12:37that we get to get the first impression of your husband
00:12:39before you do.
00:12:46Standing in a wedding dress,
00:12:49it definitely does make me feel like
00:12:51I'm one step closer to meeting my husband.
00:12:54And it makes everything feel so much more real
00:12:57and that it's truly happening
00:12:59and it's right around the corner.
00:13:22It's so beautiful, isn't it?
00:13:28Hello.
00:13:29Hi.
00:13:30Hello.
00:13:30Hi.
00:13:30How are you?
00:13:39Hello.
00:13:40Hi, everyone.
00:13:41How are you?
00:13:43Very exciting.
00:13:44How are you, guys?
00:13:48How are you?
00:13:49Nervous.
00:13:50Are you mum?
00:13:52Mum, yes.
00:13:52I'm mum.
00:13:53Mum, yeah.
00:13:53Beautiful.
00:13:54Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:13:56With the guests assembled,
00:13:58Luke and his sisters Olivia and Steph...
00:14:01Chink, chink.
00:14:02...are on their way to the ceremony
00:14:04to meet his new bride.
00:14:06I mean, now I'm starting to feel
00:14:08a little bit more nervous.
00:14:10Is it starting to set in?
00:14:11Yeah, yeah.
00:14:12Starting to set in.
00:14:13I mean, about time.
00:14:14Bloody hell.
00:14:14I know.
00:14:15I know.
00:14:15I'm just like, oh.
00:14:17Nah, let's go.
00:14:18I know.
00:14:18What do you like?
00:14:19Hey, Luke.
00:14:20Just...
00:14:24Have you got the rings?
00:14:25No.
00:14:27You never told me to bring them.
00:14:28Yeah, I said, do not forget these.
00:14:30No, you didn't.
00:14:31Yeah, when I gave it to you.
00:14:32No.
00:14:35These are rings.
00:14:38Ooh.
00:14:39Unlined.
00:14:40So, we'll put them there.
00:14:43Remember them.
00:14:45No.
00:14:46Are they in the back?
00:14:50No, they're not.
00:14:51They were on the console
00:14:53where the mirror was.
00:14:54I saw them there.
00:14:58I think we're going to have to turn the limo around.
00:15:02Wait.
00:15:03Oh, my God.
00:15:04She's not joking.
00:15:05We're going to get there so late.
00:15:08Is this like part of the room?
00:15:09Wait, what?
00:15:10I'm so confused.
00:15:12You forgot the ring.
00:15:13Oh.
00:15:14Who does that on their wedding day?
00:15:16We're going to be so late.
00:15:21What do you think my husband's doing right now?
00:15:23I reckon he's either, like, already there
00:15:25or he's on his way.
00:15:27No.
00:15:27I think he's standing at the aisle.
00:15:29Okay, let's get these rings.
00:15:31Quick, quick, quick.
00:15:31Keep going.
00:15:32Go, guys.
00:15:33Just go.
00:15:34Get the ring.
00:15:35We need to go.
00:15:36We need to go.
00:15:37I'm here.
00:15:38He's my ball.
00:15:39She's sitting in front of him right now.
00:15:41Oh, get everyone to the car.
00:15:44Luke, come on.
00:15:45We've got to go.
00:15:46This is yours.
00:15:48Start.
00:15:48We lose that.
00:15:49And we lose it.
00:15:51Fight me first.
00:15:57With the rings now in hand,
00:15:59Luke now has the mission of making it to the altar
00:16:02before his bride.
00:16:04Back on.
00:16:05All right.
00:16:05The detour.
00:16:06Let's go.
00:16:06So the race is on
00:16:08as the two limos go head to head.
00:16:11Let's go.
00:16:12Full steam ahead.
00:16:13Hey, driver, wherever you can,
00:16:15if you could make up a bit of time,
00:16:17that'd be great.
00:16:18Can I put the blame on you guys?
00:16:19No.
00:16:21I'm getting married today.
00:16:24Luke, what the hell?
00:16:26That was, like, the one thing to pass.
00:16:29I 100% think that he's waiting for me.
00:16:35We've been driving for ages, man.
00:16:38We're going to get this so late.
00:16:46You brought coconut oil over your wedding ring.
00:16:49I can't remember being told to print the rings.
00:16:52This is, like, so stressful.
00:16:54We're not that far away.
00:17:08Here it comes.
00:17:09Okay, here's what it's doing.
00:17:15Here it comes.
00:17:17Here it comes.
00:17:42Here it comes.
00:18:13Where's my husband?
00:18:15Where's my husband?
00:18:17Is he here?
00:18:22I'm not too sure.
00:18:26Is he coming?
00:18:30I get to my spot.
00:18:33He's not there.
00:18:35I'm looking around, being like,
00:18:37are you hiding somewhere?
00:18:39Like, is this going to be, like,
00:18:40this funny joke that you can, like, surprise?
00:18:44Then I started thinking, like,
00:18:45is he going to come on a horse or something?
00:18:49And if he was, cool, like, I would have been like,
00:18:52okay, do you ride horses or, like,
00:18:54are you Prince Charming on a steed?
00:18:56But he's nowhere to be seen.
00:19:00Do you know where he is?
00:19:04Seems like it's taking forever.
00:19:06He's actually got cold feet,
00:19:07so we're going to have to cancel the whole thing.
00:19:09We get the driver to hit the roads a bit faster,
00:19:12but I just want to get there.
00:19:13Yeah, the wife could be at the altar.
00:19:15She's still going to be at the altar.
00:19:17You stand at the altar,
00:19:19the bride walks down the aisle.
00:19:21Okay.
00:19:27Yeah, I'm just actually trying to find out what's happening.
00:19:29Sorry.
00:19:31Hopefully we'll find out soon.
00:19:33Okay.
00:19:36I'm thinking to myself,
00:19:38okay, well, this guy's obviously not coming.
00:19:41I've been standing here awkwardly for ages
00:19:43and I don't want to be waiting for my husband at the aisle.
00:19:48Nobody... I don't think anybody would want that.
00:19:53Oh, my...
00:19:54No.
00:19:55No.
00:19:56Oh, my God.
00:19:58I only get to wait here.
00:20:00Open the door.
00:20:00Just get out of the car
00:20:02and keep the ceremonies over there.
00:20:10Yeah, hiya.
00:20:14Quick.
00:20:17Oh, this is just too much.
00:20:19This is hilarious.
00:20:20This is just too much.
00:20:22Oh, I knew she was going to be there.
00:20:26I'm coming in late.
00:20:28Everyone's looking at me.
00:20:30I saw her at the altar looking up at me.
00:20:33Oh, my God.
00:20:36I was like,
00:20:37oh, this isn't typically how things are supposed to go.
00:20:41I'm pretty sure the guy's supposed to be waiting for her.
00:20:45Sorry I'm late, everyone.
00:20:47Sorry I'm late.
00:20:47How are you going?
00:20:48Hi.
00:20:49How are you going?
00:20:49I'm Mel.
00:20:50Look.
00:20:51Sorry I'm late.
00:20:53Where were you?
00:20:56I forgot the rings.
00:21:01For first day of marriage,
00:21:02you're a little bit disorganised.
00:21:06I'm sorry.
00:21:06I'm sorry I was late.
00:21:08Do you have them now?
00:21:10I do.
00:21:11I do.
00:21:11I do have them now.
00:21:13Do I get them out?
00:21:14No.
00:21:15Not yet.
00:21:20I was ready like hours ago.
00:21:23Where's mum and dad?
00:21:24I was ready hours ago.
00:21:25That's my mum.
00:21:27This is such a big event in someone's life.
00:21:29Like, how do you mess it up like that?
00:21:33This isn't just like,
00:21:34oh, I'm sorry I was late to your birthday dinner.
00:21:36This is such a big day.
00:21:39I've been thinking about it for months.
00:21:43That experience for me,
00:21:44I feel like was a bit ruined.
00:21:46You look really good, by the way.
00:21:47Thanks.
00:21:48But at the same time,
00:21:50I came into this experiment
00:21:51wanting to give it my all,
00:21:53wanting to find my person.
00:21:55How's your morning, babe?
00:21:57Better than yours, actually.
00:21:58I didn't forget anything.
00:22:02So, I'm going to give it a chance.
00:22:08Family and friends,
00:22:10today we celebrate the wedding
00:22:12of Mel and Luke.
00:22:15All right, Mel?
00:22:16Your wedding vows.
00:22:21Hello, husband.
00:22:26I need a man to be the blue to my pink.
00:22:29Being blue is making a place feeling steady, strong and safe.
00:22:34Being pink is making a space feel warm, open and loved.
00:22:38I want a man who will build all the furniture that I pick out
00:22:41and carry all the heavy bags and carry all the heavy bags while still finding a way to hold my
00:22:45hand.
00:22:51When I was doing my vows,
00:22:54he was chewing gum sort of with his mouth open.
00:22:56And I could hear it.
00:22:58It's sort of, you know, one thing after another.
00:23:01I'm searching for something real.
00:23:04Someone that makes my life feel like a fairy tale
00:23:06and making life feel like a rom-com movie.
00:23:08I want to feel like a main character in this movie
00:23:11and to feel all the butterflies.
00:23:13And I'm so excited to see where this fairy tale takes us.
00:23:17Love it.
00:23:20I noticed about Mel's vows that she was very specific, which I really liked.
00:23:27She was talking about the whole pink and blue thing
00:23:29and, like, I find that stuff really cute.
00:23:32She was a bit of a girly girl,
00:23:33so I'm sure she is quite traditional in that regard.
00:23:37So it probably would have been even more important for me to be there before she was.
00:23:43My favourite colour is blue, by the way.
00:23:46So, I feel like I've got a little bit of work to do.
00:23:49Yeah, I do.
00:23:51And Luke.
00:23:52Sure.
00:23:53OK.
00:23:56I've got some gum in my mouth.
00:23:58I might spit that out.
00:24:00Just swallow it.
00:24:06He, like, spat it out and gave it to his sister.
00:24:11Oh!
00:24:12I actually feel sick in my stomach.
00:24:15Like, just swallow it.
00:24:17Like everybody else.
00:24:21Oh, look, Parker.
00:24:22I mean, he had a lot going on this morning.
00:24:24We're always going to fend for our brother.
00:24:25I think it comes down to just the stress and the nerves,
00:24:28but I think he definitely has some making up to do.
00:24:34Hi, Mel.
00:24:36I don't know about you, but I'm pinching myself that the day has finally arrived.
00:24:42Sometimes the best chapters in life begin on the pages you never plan to write.
00:24:48I would say I'm someone who gives anything a shot, and I'm also the man to get the spiders out
00:24:53of the house before you even see them.
00:24:55I'm also quite handy.
00:24:56I can fix almost anything you break.
00:24:59Carry the heavy groceries and cook you a killer chilli, garlic, prawn, linguine.
00:25:03I hope you like seafood.
00:25:06All I could think about in the back of my head was that I didn't feel chemistry or anything like
00:25:12that, unfortunately.
00:25:14Growing up with sisters, I've watched my fair share of chick flicks and rom-coms.
00:25:20He doesn't make me feel that pink feeling that I wanted to feel.
00:25:26I'd be lying if I said I didn't want that happy fairytale ending.
00:25:30So I'm here to jump in headfirst, and hopefully we can find love in the midst of all the chaos,
00:25:35like Kat and Patrick from 10 Things I Hate About You.
00:25:38You know the movie?
00:25:42Oh, this is literally not a rom-com.
00:25:45I'm not feeling like that's my husband.
00:25:49OK, now for the ring exchange.
00:25:52So who has the rings?
00:25:54I do.
00:25:54Oh, you have the rings.
00:25:56Wonderful.
00:25:58On paper, it seems exactly as it should be with his attributes and his characteristics and, you know, his values.
00:26:06But I just can't get past that.
00:26:08He's got the rings.
00:26:10God, I hate thinking about it.
00:26:13So it is with profound joy that I now get to pronounce you as husband and wife.
00:26:20You may share your first married kiss.
00:26:29So far, this doesn't feel like the fairytale picture for myself.
00:26:35This feels like something out of, I don't know, some sort of comedy movie, but it's not romantic comedy.
00:26:43It's just comedy.
00:26:44It's like Adam Sandler, and I don't like it.
00:26:52I just don't feel like I've got my food.
00:26:55I don't feel like Meg Ryan and you've got mail.
00:27:03Next, Gia's big day.
00:27:05OK, she's deavering.
00:27:06You come in here with this energy, it's too much.
00:27:08Does she think that this is the first bridezilla I've ever had to deal with?
00:27:11I don't want you in the limo.
00:27:12F*** off.
00:27:22With one couple married, we reveal our second pairing.
00:27:31As we meet one of the most hardworking and ambitious grooms to date.
00:27:42I live life in the vast lake.
00:27:45I don't know where the turn-off button is, apart from when I lie down.
00:27:49I'm very disciplined.
00:27:50I'm very driven.
00:27:51I get up at four.
00:27:52I go to bed at eight.
00:27:53I don't drink.
00:27:53I don't smoke.
00:27:55It was never an option for me to live an ordinary life.
00:27:58I just want an exceptional life, and that's what I'm working towards.
00:28:03I'm Scott.
00:28:04I'm 33, and I'm a business owner from the Gold Coast.
00:28:10I own three businesses.
00:28:11I own a finance brokerage, a jet ski mechanic repair shop, and I sell cars at a car dealership.
00:28:18I'll start from the 4am wake-ups, seven days a week.
00:28:21I'm up.
00:28:22I'm out the door.
00:28:23I'm at the gym, and I'm in my office before 6am, and I'll work till the sun goes down.
00:28:29I'm married to my business.
00:28:30I love it.
00:28:31That's like my wife at the moment.
00:28:34I think the ambition comes from my grandfather, who works so hard.
00:28:38He's set up the family in a successful way, meaning they're going to be fine forever.
00:28:43I want to take on that job now.
00:28:45I want to be the next person that looks after my family.
00:28:49How do you see love and a partner and a marriage fitting into this life that you have built for
00:28:54yourself that's so structured?
00:28:57That's what's super hard, obviously, and that's what I'm here for, to compromise and make time.
00:29:01It's very hard to do so, but I'm willing to compromise, put it that way.
00:29:04So it's hard to answer at this moment because I just have to put myself in the deep end and
00:29:08see what the experiment gives me.
00:29:10So what would it mean for you to find love in this experiment?
00:29:16It would mean a lot because I find that's literally, I've built this career and success and this health, and
00:29:22I'm so happy with myself.
00:29:25And I know there's something missing, and it's, you know, my person.
00:29:29I want to share life with someone, so it means so much to me.
00:29:33You know, I just really, I really want it.
00:29:37I picture this perfect life that my parents have given to me and my brothers, and I want to carry
00:29:42that as well.
00:29:44My parents are so happy, they're beautiful, and I want that.
00:29:47You're going to have to compromise and make room for somebody in your life.
00:29:54That's why it's hard.
00:29:55Yes.
00:29:56And she's got to be as good as your mother.
00:29:59100%.
00:30:00It's not all about work.
00:30:02I'm definitely working very hard, not only for myself, but for my woman.
00:30:07I want to share a luxury life with someone.
00:30:11My perfect type of woman, someone who looks after themself as much as I do, you know, presents themself well,
00:30:19beautiful eyes, beautiful body.
00:30:21I want a hot girl, 100%.
00:30:27I was my past relationship, yeah.
00:30:30Why did it end?
00:30:32We just weren't having any sex.
00:30:35How did that go be, not having any, you know, sex?
00:30:39I was waking up with wet dreams every day.
00:30:42I'm in my 30s, like, I need to have sex.
00:30:46I have a massive high sex drive.
00:30:51Sex is really important.
00:30:52I didn't have it in my last relationship.
00:30:55Sex wasn't important to him.
00:30:57I do have a high sex drive.
00:30:59I'm looking for a man who can match me in every way, but sexually, that he's a bit explorative.
00:31:06I don't want vanilla.
00:31:08I know my worth.
00:31:10I've never been cheated on because I'm a catch.
00:31:15I cook.
00:31:17I clean.
00:31:19I have a brain.
00:31:20I'll keep him stimulated.
00:31:22And I'm up at 6am looking like a Barbie.
00:31:24That's it.
00:31:27My name's Gia.
00:31:29I'm 35, and I'm a disability support worker from Melbourne.
00:31:33I think people perceive me as just a bimbo, given how I look and everything.
00:31:39But beneath the fake lips, fake teeth, fake tits, is the realist girl.
00:31:45And there's so much more to me than that.
00:31:49I'm a mum.
00:31:51I have a little daughter.
00:31:52She's the most amazing, kind girl.
00:31:56It's a girls' night.
00:31:58Yay!
00:32:00Tell me about your daughter.
00:32:03Hmm.
00:32:04Um.
00:32:08Ah, shit.
00:32:11She's like the love of my life.
00:32:14I put everything into being a mum.
00:32:16Everything.
00:32:17She's my reason for living.
00:32:19I'm so proud that she is who she is.
00:32:22I think it's important that she's confident as much as me and as a mother.
00:32:26I want to show her that it's okay to be herself and never let somebody dull your shine.
00:32:32Why is it so important to you to show her that?
00:32:36I was very bullied in school.
00:32:39Very, very bullied.
00:32:40And it went all the way through high school.
00:32:42Really?
00:32:42Yeah.
00:32:43What were they targeting?
00:32:45Boys would say things like, why don't you grow some tits, surfboard, and like, have you ever had a boyfriend?
00:32:51And obviously I didn't.
00:32:52I was such, I never dated boys.
00:32:54Didn't have a boyfriend until I was like 20.
00:32:57I didn't really have many friends.
00:32:59I didn't fit in with the other girls.
00:33:01I didn't fit in.
00:33:02I was kind of a weird loner.
00:33:05So I feel like it shaped me to be who I am.
00:33:09I want him to just like me for me.
00:33:14I want my future husband to be manly, like an alpha male leader type of guy who I can trust.
00:33:24I like people with ambition, who have drive, who's a really hard working guy with some goals.
00:34:00I'm not here to live ordinary.
00:34:03I want my future husband.
00:34:21I want him to think I'm not here to
00:34:31So I say, let's lock him in.
00:34:34The next couple have been matched, Gia and Scott.
00:34:46It's the highly anticipated morning of Gia and Scott's wedding.
00:34:51And the nervous bride-to-be is trying to remain calm
00:34:55as the clock ticks ever closer to her big moment.
00:34:59How are we going through time?
00:35:01How's your make-up going? Are you stressed?
00:35:03It's getting there.
00:35:04We've got to do the hair.
00:35:06It's just a time crunch and it's stressful.
00:35:10And to help soothe the single mum's wedding day jitters,
00:35:14Gia has called on two of her closest friends,
00:35:17Will and Brooke, to help bring some calm.
00:35:26Knock, knock, bitch!
00:35:28We're heroes!
00:35:31Where are you?
00:35:33Bye!
00:35:35Okay.
00:35:36All right, champagne.
00:35:37Glasses.
00:35:38They're so loud.
00:35:40They're probably serving champagne.
00:35:42So they're just, they're very, um,
00:35:44I feel like they've had drinks before they came here.
00:35:46They're lit as.
00:35:47Gia!
00:35:48Why is she quiet?
00:35:49Three, three, you idiot.
00:35:50I only have two hands, bitch!
00:35:53Ah!
00:35:56Like they are full on already at this time of the morning.
00:35:59Like it's too much.
00:36:02Woo-hoo!
00:36:04All right, here we go.
00:36:06It's not about them.
00:36:07It's not Brooke and Will's show today.
00:36:09It's not.
00:36:09Give me a minute.
00:36:10You know.
00:36:12We're the ultimate hype girls.
00:36:14We are here to make everything smooth sailing.
00:36:19Let's go.
00:36:20Gia!
00:36:21Where is she?
00:36:22Bye!
00:36:23Bring the energy.
00:36:24Bring the vibes.
00:36:25Make her feel comfortable.
00:36:27Oh my God.
00:36:27That can't be fun.
00:36:29Make her excited for this.
00:36:33Gia!
00:36:34It's why we were selected.
00:36:37Why is there so many stairs?
00:36:39I don't want to go.
00:36:41Okay, one more.
00:36:42Wait, are you sure?
00:36:43Let's just try it.
00:36:45Not yet.
00:36:45Not yet.
00:36:46Oh, I hear her!
00:36:47Bye!
00:36:48Bye!
00:36:48Not, no, not yet.
00:36:50Not yet.
00:36:50We're here!
00:36:51Wait, not yet.
00:36:53Not yet.
00:36:55I'm not ready yet, guys.
00:36:56Like, f*** off.
00:37:02Are you kidding me?
00:37:05No.
00:37:06Don't, don't speak to me like that.
00:37:08Sorry.
00:37:08We have a shit ton still to do.
00:37:10Don't distract me.
00:37:11Like, we're really time crunch.
00:37:13Breathe.
00:37:14Don't, like, piss me off.
00:37:15No, breathe.
00:37:16Calm down.
00:37:18We're not off to a great start, are we?
00:37:21It's my wedding.
00:37:22Don't be a bridezilla.
00:37:23I was good till you guys came, I'm not even lying.
00:37:25Okay.
00:37:26Can you guys just, like, f*** off for five?
00:37:28She is being an absolute diva.
00:37:31You're pissing me off.
00:37:32Seriously.
00:37:33Oh, here we go, you f***ing drama queen.
00:37:36Horrible.
00:37:37Absolutely horrible.
00:37:39It's fine.
00:37:40Okay, she's diva-ing.
00:37:41And you come in here with this energy, it's too much.
00:37:44Babe, calm down.
00:37:46It's my f***ing wedding.
00:37:48Rain again.
00:37:50No.
00:37:51Uh-uh.
00:37:51Not okay.
00:37:52I'm not that b***h, honey.
00:37:54I can't deal with it.
00:37:55I don't want you in the limbo.
00:37:56I'm done.
00:37:57F*** off.
00:37:58Yep, bye.
00:37:59Yeah, you're too, he's too much this morning.
00:38:02Bitch.
00:38:04Psycho.
00:38:05I'm pissed off.
00:38:06She's being ridiculous.
00:38:08She's absolutely being ridiculous.
00:38:10Oh my god.
00:38:11Like, we're at a time crunch.
00:38:12They're already drunk.
00:38:14It's, it's like, they need to chill it out.
00:38:17Like, they're giving me anxiety.
00:38:20Don't kick your best friend out of ten years.
00:38:22Don't treat me like I'm a piece of s***.
00:38:24That's absolutely s***.
00:38:27I totally get it.
00:38:28But does she think this is my first rodeo?
00:38:30Does she think that this is the first bridezilla I've ever had to deal with?
00:38:33Hello?
00:38:35Hello?
00:38:39Do you think you upset them?
00:38:43Um...
00:38:43Is she alright?
00:38:44Shut up.
00:38:45Shut up.
00:38:47Jesus.
00:38:50Why do they need to get the f*** over?
00:38:51It's my wedding, not theirs.
00:38:54Chill out, diva.
00:38:55Like, like, you're not Mariah Carey.
00:38:59Sit down.
00:39:00Wait, it's my wedding.
00:39:01Shut up.
00:39:02How can I help?
00:39:04How can I calm you down?
00:39:05I'm pacing.
00:39:06I just need to just...
00:39:08Get it out.
00:39:08Energy.
00:39:09Energy.
00:39:10This is just so unfair.
00:39:12Do you need a cheeseburger?
00:39:13No, I'm on a diet.
00:39:20Having arrived late to their ceremony after forgetting the rings and chewing gum throughout
00:39:26the vows, Mel isn't feeling particularly enamoured with her new husband, Luke, and the tension
00:39:32is palpable.
00:39:34How are you feeling?
00:39:35I want, like, a little bit annoyed at you for making me wait there by myself.
00:39:41Um, I was, yeah, bye.
00:39:46Yeah, like, obviously I don't want to be rude to you, but, like, I did ruin my day a little
00:39:49bit.
00:39:51I feel like I am in the doghouse a little bit.
00:39:54Really?
00:39:54How long are you there for?
00:39:55Long enough for it to feel really embarrassing.
00:39:57Yeah, it shouldn't be like that, should it?
00:39:59The last thing I wanted to do was, like, make my future wife, now my wife, upset on her
00:40:05wedding day.
00:40:06Um, and that's exactly what I did, which is really sad for me to hear.
00:40:11I just want you to, like, that's why I'm not, like, woo-hoo, like, we're married.
00:40:14I'm all, like, yeah, cool.
00:40:16Yeah, true.
00:40:17I feel like it is a bit of a wake-up call, like, to me, just to be super mindful
00:40:23not
00:40:23to let her down again.
00:40:26So, I'm going to do my best to try and make her feel better about the situation, at least.
00:40:31That's not how weddings are supposed to go.
00:40:33Like, obviously I'm supposed to be there first.
00:40:35But, like, I don't want to say any buts.
00:40:38Yeah, I'll just say I'm sorry.
00:40:40Yeah, I feel like I've got a little bit of redeeming to do.
00:40:44Congratulations on your beautiful fairytale wedding.
00:40:46Can I get you guys out the end here for me?
00:40:48Yep.
00:40:52This is my redemption.
00:40:55It's your redemption arc?
00:40:56Yeah.
00:40:57Try harder, Lord.
00:40:58No, this is where it starts, I mean.
00:41:00He hasn't redeemed himself yet.
00:41:03Then, are you looking at each other for me there?
00:41:05Yeah.
00:41:06My bar at the start of the day was here.
00:41:14But, after the wedding, it was here.
00:41:17It's an, um...
00:41:20He's got that much to go.
00:41:23You just keep holding it for me.
00:41:24I've just got a little technical hiccup to get it sorted out.
00:41:28I hate this.
00:41:45Beautiful day for a wedding.
00:41:48Right, here we go.
00:41:50Whoa.
00:41:51Should have taken the shoes off and worn barefoot.
00:41:54Wow, what a beautiful beach.
00:41:59Nice to meet you.
00:42:00Hi.
00:42:02Nice to see you guys here.
00:42:05Your anticipation's killing me.
00:42:07As Gia and Scott's family and friends gather at the venue,
00:42:11back at Gia's,
00:42:12earlier this morning,
00:42:14a catastrophic feud erupted between her
00:42:17and her man of honour, Will.
00:42:19And since then,
00:42:20things have taken another turn.
00:42:28Oh, I love you too.
00:42:31I love you, bitch.
00:42:31I love you.
00:42:32Don't be a drama queen today.
00:42:34I love you so much, but don't.
00:42:35Okay.
00:42:36Just be my calf today.
00:42:38I'm here.
00:42:38Sorry.
00:42:39Of course.
00:42:40Okay.
00:42:41I didn't really read the room
00:42:42and it's, like I said,
00:42:45I've known her for over 10 years.
00:42:47Yeah.
00:42:47It's fine.
00:42:48It's fine.
00:42:49We yell, we scream.
00:42:51We move on.
00:42:52Mum?
00:42:54You bitch.
00:42:59You bitch.
00:43:00You're a bitch.
00:43:01Hate me.
00:43:01Love you.
00:43:02Okay.
00:43:03The war is over.
00:43:04Oh my God.
00:43:13My parents' marriage
00:43:14is definitely my form of standard.
00:43:17They've been married
00:43:18for just under 40 years
00:43:21and I want to carry that legacy.
00:43:25Marrying a complete stranger
00:43:26is pushing yourself
00:43:27out of your comfort zone
00:43:28for anyone.
00:43:30Or not knowing
00:43:31who she is,
00:43:32what she looks like.
00:43:33It's a big gamble for me
00:43:35but I'm all about risks.
00:43:37It could go one way
00:43:38or the other
00:43:38but I'm ready
00:43:40to take the next step.
00:43:42I'm just ready
00:43:43to turn around
00:43:43and see my beautiful bride.
00:43:46Oh, here he comes.
00:43:49Hello.
00:43:50Yeah, Scotty.
00:43:51Hey, guys.
00:43:52Hi, how are you doing?

00:44:03I feel good.
00:44:04Yeah.
00:44:05Are you guys prepared for this?
00:44:06No.
00:44:07Not really, no.
00:44:08Are you?
00:44:09I'm not really
00:44:09but I'll do my best
00:44:11to take care of her.
00:44:13Do you know
00:44:13what you're expecting?
00:44:15I don't know
00:44:16what I'm expecting.
00:44:17I feel sorry for you.
00:44:19No.
00:44:23We're in a bitch.
00:44:26Breathe, breathe.
00:44:28Guys, I'm in a bitch
00:44:29with my heels.
00:44:30Are you joking?
00:44:31Babe, you can't...
00:44:32Are you joking?
00:44:33You can't control it.
00:44:34I'm getting a goddamn sand
00:44:36wedding with my $1,500 shoes.
00:44:38I'm a bougie bitch, babe.
00:44:39I'm trying not to love
00:44:40because I don't want you
00:44:40to punch me.
00:44:42Guys, how am I going
00:44:42to wear these heels?
00:44:44I'm holding out hope.
00:44:45I don't really know
00:44:45what to tell you, mate.
00:44:46We love you.
00:44:47Bye, babies.
00:44:48Bye.

00:44:49See you there.
00:44:50Bye.
00:44:50Love you.
00:44:53Oh, my God.
00:44:53Oh, my God.

00:45:26I think Will likes him.
00:45:29She runs.
00:45:30I'm up.
00:45:31Do you want me to give you
00:45:33a little bit of reassurance?
00:45:34Please do.
00:45:35She's going to like you.
00:45:36Will I love her?
00:45:38Yeah.
00:45:38Strap in, buddy.

00:45:41Yeah.
00:45:46All right, let's do it.
00:45:51I would love nothing more
00:45:53than to just have a man for me
00:45:55and for my daughter
00:45:56that we had a consistent,
00:45:57stable man in our life
00:45:58that was good for us.
00:46:00It'd mean everything.
00:46:02I want him to be a good man.
00:46:06I know I'm a lot
00:46:07and I will keep him on his toes.
00:46:10I'm not easy,
00:46:12but I'm worth it.
00:46:14I am a little bit outspoken,
00:46:16a little bit fiery.
00:46:17Some people might not like that,
00:46:20but this is who I am.
00:46:24F***.

00:46:37from a mile away.
00:46:39I literally have to take these off.
00:46:41I'm going to have to help you.
00:46:41Hang on.

00:46:46I can't.
00:46:47Ah!
00:46:51Scotty typically
00:46:52doesn't like girls
00:46:53that swear a lot.
00:46:56You ready?
00:46:56You shitting yourself?
00:46:59I know he finds it in Nick.

00:48:08Hello.
00:48:10The moment I turned around
00:48:11and saw her,
00:48:12I was speechless.
00:48:16She's definitely
00:48:17a beautiful girl.
00:48:20Wow, you look good.
00:48:21Ah.
00:48:23Shit.
00:48:23Oh, my God.
00:48:25Pretty happy.

00:48:33I'm Scott.
00:48:34I'm Chia.
00:48:35Nice to meet you.

00:48:43I know.
00:48:44He's hot.
00:48:45Come on, now.
00:48:46He is.
00:48:47Yeah, definitely.
00:48:48Like, beautiful babies.
00:48:51From a mum's perspective.
00:48:53Yeah.
00:48:53No, very cute.
00:48:55I'm happy, so we're good.
00:48:56Are you happy?
00:48:57Yeah, I'm stoked, yeah.
00:48:59I think you're stunning, so yeah.
00:49:00Oh, my God.
00:49:03Yeah, I'm definitely
00:49:04physically attracted to him.
00:49:05Good now.
00:49:06You're good.
00:49:06I'm good.
00:49:07I'm good.
00:49:07I'm good.
00:49:07He has nice teeth,
00:49:09and I'm a teeth person,
00:49:10so the first thing was like,
00:49:11okay, nice smile.
00:49:12He has nice eyes, too.
00:49:14Do the teeth are real?
00:49:16No, but neither are mine.
00:49:16I think we both,
00:49:17we've got matching veneers,
00:49:18so I think it's meant to be.
00:49:20Ha, ha, ha, ha.
00:49:23Welcome.
00:49:24We gather to celebrate
00:49:26one life's most beautiful milestones,
00:49:28the union of Gia and Scott in marriage.
00:49:31Surrounded by your family and friends,
00:49:34I invite you to reaffirm
00:49:35your commitment to one another.
00:49:37I bet I'm first.
00:49:38I hope you're first.
00:49:40I hope you're first.
00:49:41Great.
00:49:43Okay.
00:49:44Where's my seatbelt?
00:49:45Yeah.
00:49:51So, hi, I'm Gia.
00:49:53If you're thinking I look good on the outside,
00:49:55which, let's face it, you are,
00:49:58just wait until you get to know my heart.
00:50:01I've got a lot of love to give,
00:50:03a loud laugh and a mouth
00:50:04that sometimes gets me into trouble.
00:50:07I'm confident and often unhinged,
00:50:10but always a damn good time.
00:50:13Let's get one thing straight.
00:50:15I'm the whole package.
00:50:18I'll cook better than your mother.
00:50:20Oh.
00:50:21Jesus.
00:50:22Make you laugh better than your best mates.
00:50:27And look hot doing it.
00:50:31But life hasn't always been kind to me.
00:50:34I've walked into rooms and felt judged
00:50:36before I've even said a word.
00:50:38And I know what it's like to be misunderstood
00:50:40and looked at and not seen.
00:50:44Because underneath these perfect fake tits
00:50:48is a girl with real substance.
00:50:50I like tits, that's all right.
00:50:53I might look plastic,
00:50:54but I promise you everything else about me is real.
00:50:58So if you're ready for fireworks,
00:51:00a few challenges,
00:51:01and the kind of love that doesn't come easy,
00:51:03but is worth every second,
00:51:04then I'm all the way in if you are too.
00:51:06I am too.
00:51:07Yay!
00:51:09She sounds perfect.
00:51:10Yay!
00:51:12From what I heard and what I saw,
00:51:15I think she's like a very exciting person.
00:51:18This is crazy.
00:51:19And I think she's going to spark up Scott's life.
00:51:22In a good way,
00:51:23because I think sometimes he can be a little boring.
00:51:26Yeah, so, yeah, it'll be good.
00:51:28I think Gia is what Scott needs.
00:51:31Yes.
00:51:31Yeah.
00:51:32Totally agree.
00:51:33I actually feel like they've tried to pair them up perfectly.
00:51:38Like, she's a match.
00:51:39I feel there's a spark.
00:51:41There's definitely a good genuine connection there.
00:51:43I think Gia's definitely the type of woman
00:51:45to keep me on my toes.
00:51:46I've got a very strong personality,
00:51:49very upfront.
00:51:49I like that.
00:51:50I'm very invested into getting to know Gia
00:51:54and learning about each other
00:51:56and seeing where it takes us.
00:52:02Hi, I'm Scott, as you're aware.
00:52:05I'm a business owner, an early riser,
00:52:07a guy who lives life fast and full.
00:52:10Today, I stand here not just as a guy who's achieved a lot,
00:52:12but a man who is ready to give even more.
00:52:15I'm a man of routine and structure.
00:52:17I'm up at 4am to train.
00:52:19I eat clean.
00:52:20I live a pretty disciplined life.
00:52:22But underneath all this is someone who values softness
00:52:24just as much as strength.
00:52:26I'm looking for a connection that makes me feel safe to slow down.
00:52:29Someone who can bring a little calm to the chaos.
00:52:33My age to me, now I'm starting to get nervous.
00:52:35I don't know why.
00:52:35You're good. No, you're fine.
00:52:36My legs started shaking,
00:52:38and then I don't know why I got nervous,
00:52:39maybe because I was super attracted to her
00:52:40and, you know, the nerves started coming out.
00:52:43That's a good sign, though, right?
00:52:45I think it's a good sign.
00:52:46It means I'm genuinely interested.
00:52:49He's really genuine.
00:52:50Yeah.
00:52:51He's really genuine.
00:52:52Very good vibe.
00:52:53Yeah.
00:52:54So here I am, fresh fade,
00:52:55moisturised, with all open heart, clear mind.
00:52:58Let's write a real story.
00:52:59Messy, magic, honest and completely ours.
00:53:01Yay!
00:53:03That was great.
00:53:04I started to get nervous.
00:53:05No, you got it.
00:53:06No, we loved it.
00:53:07Great.
00:53:08Yeah.
00:53:08I hope so.
00:53:10I like him.
00:53:11I like the things he said and what he's about.
00:53:14I got a little bit more of a glimpse into him,
00:53:16and, like, yeah, I like it.
00:53:19That's not going to come off.
00:53:20Good.
00:53:21Oh, good.
00:53:23I've got big hands.
00:53:24You know what big hands, mate?
00:53:26I feel good about the match so far.
00:53:28I feel like they've gotten it good.
00:53:30They're on point.
00:53:33And now, family and friends,
00:53:36I joyfully pronounce Gia and Scott as husband and wife.
00:53:42Woo!
00:53:45You may now share your first kiss.
00:53:50Woo!
00:53:52Woo!
00:53:53Woo!
00:53:54Woo!
00:53:55Woo!
00:53:55Woo!
00:53:55Woo!
00:53:57Woo!
00:53:59Woo!
00:53:59So that, to me, says a lot
00:54:01because she's very reserved in anything that she doesn't look at.
00:54:03So, yeah, there's definitely a spark.
00:54:06Woo!
00:54:10You have to grab my shoes up there.
00:54:11You're my husband now.
00:54:13Oh, Harry, you're going to put them on.
00:54:15I haven't liked anyone in a really long time,
00:54:17so I'm really happy.
00:54:25Can we get a big round of applause for the newlyweds, Gia and Scott?
00:54:32CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:54:36Oh, my gosh, it's so cute in here.
00:54:40Oh, my gosh. Yes.
00:54:42How are you feeling, actually? I'm stoked, eh?
00:54:45Yeah? Yeah, I'm happy, yes. Have you had fun?
00:54:47Yeah, it's so good.
00:54:48Gia, you're a husband.
00:54:50I know, he's so cute, too.
00:54:52And you're just giggling like a little schoolgirl.
00:54:55And I never do. I don't think I've ever seen her like this.
00:54:59Oh, I like that.
00:55:00Things are going too well, and I'm just stressed about telling him I have a daughter.
00:55:05Because if he's someone who isn't a child person, it might put him off.
00:55:11I definitely know I want to tell him at the end of the night.
00:55:13I don't want to tell him when we're just getting to know each other.
00:55:16It could be a red flag for him, and then he writes me off.
00:55:20So I'm going to wait till later on in the evening when I think I've got a better gauge on
00:55:24him.
00:55:25Are you hoping none of the guests spoil the surprise?
00:55:28Oh, my God. I hope no one says anything.
00:55:31Woo!
00:55:32That's, like, my secret to tell. I'll be really pissed.
00:55:36That's so my secret to tell.
00:55:39And they all know that.
00:55:41If anyone in my wedding party does, I'll literally kick him out.
00:55:44So, yeah.
00:55:46You can bombard with any question I'll answer.
00:55:48I'm very honest, too.
00:55:49Oh, he's got under pressure.
00:55:50I know Will has a big question.
00:55:55Do you have any children?
00:55:56Wait, Will!
00:56:04After a delayed groom and an uncomfortable photo shoot,
00:56:08the vibe at Mel and Luke's reception is painfully awkward.
00:56:13And despite Luke's attempts to apologise for his tardiness,
00:56:17Mel remains distant.
00:56:19We definitely could have parked a minibus between the both of us.
00:56:25And the couple's cold body language hasn't gone unnoticed by the wedding guests.
00:56:30They seem to be sitting very far apart.
00:56:31I know. I was just thinking about that.
00:56:33Yeah, Mel is tilted a bit.
00:56:34Away?
00:56:35Yeah.
00:56:37She is reserved, yeah.
00:56:38I feel like when he's talking to me, I'm leaning backwards.
00:56:43He hasn't redeemed himself for being late to the wedding.
00:56:46So, I didn't feel like I wanted to move closer.
00:56:52I've got three sisters.
00:56:53Have I told you that?
00:56:54Yeah.
00:56:54Yeah, one's away.
00:56:55We've got Mum, Sophie.
00:56:57We've got Steph.
00:56:58I'm out.
00:57:01And Liv.
00:57:04Yeah, do you want to have a chat with them?
00:57:09Maybe in a little bit?
00:57:11Nice.
00:57:13Nice.
00:57:16This feels uncomfortable.
00:57:22This is awkward.
00:57:24Very awkward.
00:57:29I mean, who's...
00:57:31She's not doing much talking.
00:57:35Mel definitely had her guard up, I feel.
00:57:37She had a heart's pretty good.
00:57:39She wasn't giving as much as what Luke was giving.
00:57:42I like anything just pretty active.
00:57:43That's kind of why I work on the farm.
00:57:45It's like being active.
00:57:46So, like, you know, going on boats and all that kind of stuff.
00:57:49I just felt like she was a lot more serious,
00:57:51a lot more conservative, a lot more reserved.
00:57:54I'm trying as hard as I can with the conversations
00:57:56and I haven't really got too much back.
00:57:58I feel like she's been a bit quiet.
00:58:00So, I really want to focus on getting to know her
00:58:02as much as possible.
00:58:03I want to show her that I care.
00:58:05You have got goosebumps.
00:58:06I'm going to give you these.
00:58:07See?
00:58:08Don't worry.
00:58:10I know for Mel that that's really important to her.
00:58:13Like, that would speak massive volumes.
00:58:15Yeah, true.
00:58:16Yeah.
00:58:17I agree.
00:58:20I really like him.
00:58:22Like, he owned a chair for her.
00:58:24Like, he did all this stuff.
00:58:25Like, I know he was late, but who cares?
00:58:28I think he's really nice.
00:58:31I'm just going to go talk to her mum.
00:58:33See you in a bit.
00:58:36Hey, mum.
00:58:37Hey, darling.
00:58:38Um, after, like, um, he, like, when he was obviously late, mum.
00:58:44Yeah.
00:58:45I just felt really nervous.
00:58:48Oh, sweetheart.
00:58:49Did he give you the reason?
00:58:50He said, um, he just forgot.
00:58:52He forgot.
00:58:54So, he had to go get the ring?
00:58:55Yeah.
00:58:56Okay.
00:58:59And the whole, I don't know, scope of things,
00:59:02is it that big of a deal?
00:59:04I'm sure he feels really bad.
00:59:07And see what happens.
00:59:09Just go from here.
00:59:10Yeah.
00:59:10At the end of the day, you've just met each other.
00:59:12And, you know, it's like, it's like life, right?
00:59:14You have your ups and downs.
00:59:17And if this is the lowest it's going to get, it's a good low.
00:59:21I could see how hurt my daughter was, obviously.
00:59:25And she genuinely was very, very upset.
00:59:28What she could see and what we could see were a little bit different.
00:59:32And I wanted her to have an, um, maybe have an understanding
00:59:35that there's always two signs through every story, right?
00:59:38He seems like a nice person.
00:59:39His family seemed lovely.
00:59:41Is she kind of like your usual type that you'd go for?
00:59:44I'd say she's my type.
00:59:45Great.
00:59:45Yeah.
00:59:46When you kind of look at the bigger picture,
00:59:48you're going, okay, he was a little bit late.
00:59:50Things happen and you can't really judge a person on one little action.
00:59:56We all thought he was a lovely, lovely person.
00:59:59So, hopefully, she'll move on pretty quickly from this.
01:00:04I love you more, darling.
01:00:08As Mel's mum persuades her to move past the ring debacle,
01:00:12over at Gia and Scott's wedding,
01:00:14Gia's man of honour, Will,
01:00:16has just brought up the one topic of conversation
01:00:19that she specifically asked her guests to avoid
01:00:22around her new husband.
01:00:24Do you have any children?
01:00:27I told everyone not to say anything.
01:00:31What's he thinking?
01:00:32Bringing up the kid question.
01:00:34No, I don't.
01:00:35No, you don't?
01:00:36I don't need my man of honour prompting conversations like that
01:00:39because, like, he could start to ask me those sort of questions back
01:00:43and I'm just not ready yet for that.
01:00:46Narrowly missing a bullet,
01:00:48Gia tries to relax into the reception
01:00:50as the rest of her guests find ways to bond with their new in-laws.
01:00:55Be there for her and she'll be there for you.
01:00:57You know what I mean?
01:00:58I'm a cancer.
01:00:58I'm always there for a lot of people.
01:00:59Oh, my God, darling, so am I.
01:01:01Ah!
01:01:02Gia!
01:01:03Oh, look, I think as far as his family and I go,
01:01:05we all love each other.
01:01:07LAUGHTER
01:01:08We all seem to get along really, really well.
01:01:10Oh, look, this is lovely.
01:01:11I love these women.
01:01:12Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:01:13Yeah, I really love them all.
01:01:15Couldn't have asked for better.
01:01:16LAUGHTER
01:01:18Wow.
01:01:20Absolutely love everybody in the room.
01:01:22I think they're very genuine people.
01:01:24It was great.
01:01:26I'm Gia's uncle.
01:01:27Uncle?
01:01:28Yeah.
01:01:28OK, yeah.
01:01:29So what does Gia do?
01:01:33Gia does...
01:01:36She's the house mum.
01:01:38She looks up for her daughter.
01:01:39LAUGHTER
01:01:42Oh, yeah, OK, she's got a daughter.
01:01:44Yeah.
01:01:44Oh, OK.
01:01:45Yeah, yeah.
01:01:46Yep.
01:01:47Yeah.
01:01:48Yeah, yeah.
01:01:49What am I supposed to say?
01:01:59I...ed up.
01:02:00Big time.
01:02:03Oh, shit, what have I done?
01:02:09So what does Gia, what does Gia do?
01:02:14Gia does...
01:02:17She's the house mum.
01:02:18She looks up for her daughter.
01:02:19Oh, yeah, OK, she's got a daughter.
01:02:21Yeah.
01:02:21Oh, OK.
01:02:22Yep.
01:02:24Yeah.
01:02:25Oh, cool.
01:02:26Yeah, what am I supposed to say?
01:02:33I...ed up bad.
01:02:36Mmm.
01:02:37Anyway, good to meet you.
01:02:38Yes, you too.
01:02:39You too, we'll catch up, though.
01:02:40Yeah, that was.
01:02:41Yeah.
01:02:43I got a bit carried away
01:02:44and I accidentally spilt the beans
01:02:47and said about Gia's daughter.
01:02:50I wasn't supposed to say that.
01:02:57Get out.
01:02:57And so they actually listened to everything
01:02:59like when they were talking.
01:03:00Oh, no, hello.
01:03:01I just wanted to say hello.
01:03:03Oh, I knew that very well.
01:03:04Welcome to our family.
01:03:05You're gorgeous.
01:03:06I think you're going to be perfect.
01:03:07I love your dress.
01:03:08You're just gorgeous.
01:03:09You accept me so far.
01:03:11Oh, OK.
01:03:12Yes.
01:03:13You're perfect.
01:03:14You just...
01:03:14You just...
01:03:15What you've said and...
01:03:16...and everything.
01:03:17I thought, oh, wow, yeah.
01:03:20Guys, look, I love this family.
01:03:24I hear you've got a daughter.
01:03:27What?
01:03:28How the hell does she know that?
01:03:33Oh, my God, she found out.
01:03:35That's the big one.
01:03:39Who the hell told him I had a kid?
01:03:41I told everyone not to say anything.
01:03:43So I'm kind of, like, blindsided
01:03:45by my own family at this point.
01:03:46Who said it?
01:03:47Because I'm pissed off.
01:03:49I said, oh, I hear you have a good intern.
01:03:52What did you hear that from?
01:03:53It was John.
01:03:55It was Johnny.
01:03:57Did you tell her dad that she's got a daughter?
01:04:00Who?
01:04:00Did you tell her dad she's got a daughter?
01:04:02Yeah, we're talking to sleep.
01:04:04Yes.
01:04:04You're not supposed to say anything.
01:04:05I know, I sleep.
01:04:06Oh.
01:04:08Great.
01:04:09John, my darling cousin,
01:04:11he can't help himself.
01:04:13He's got a big mouth.
01:04:14He just blurted stuff out.
01:04:15It's all his fault.
01:04:16He'll cop it from his wife tonight.
01:04:18Don't worry.
01:04:19Gia.
01:04:20Gia.
01:04:21So it wasn't me.
01:04:24Yeah, it wasn't.
01:04:25It wasn't.
01:04:26It was your uncle.
01:04:37John has f***ed this.
01:04:38And it's just, it's just set me off.
01:04:42Like, everything was great until this point.
01:04:44And I feel like Scott could back off because of this now.
01:04:47And I, like, it was my secret to tell.
01:04:50Uncle John should be scared because I'm coming home now.
01:04:53Like, I'm pissed.
01:05:01Are you upset with me?
01:05:04Yeah, I am.
01:05:05You're going to hear about it, mate.
01:05:10What did you do?
01:05:11I think I've made a mistake.
01:05:13You have.
01:05:14I know.
01:05:15It's so my secret to tell.
01:05:17Like, do you know how heartbreaking that was?
01:05:19I'm trying to make the family accept me.
01:05:20Like.
01:05:21I know, Gia.
01:05:22I know.
01:05:23I'm sorry.
01:05:23I'm sorry, but it's like.
01:05:24I didn't mean it.
01:05:25It just came out at 10.
01:05:26I tried to make them accept me.
01:05:27And then the mum comes over.
01:05:28Oh, you've got a kid.
01:05:29I'm like, what?
01:05:31I'm really sorry.
01:05:32Like, it was just my thing to tell.
01:05:33I'm really sorry.
01:05:34I didn't mean it.
01:05:35I wanted to pull him aside in a way that, like, made him understand it a bit.
01:05:39Gia.
01:05:39Gia, please.
01:05:40I couldn't make it.
01:05:41It just came out that Scotty doesn't know.
01:05:45He doesn't have a kid.
01:05:46So, like, what if he's like, oh, I can't accept that.
01:05:49You know?
01:05:49And I like him.
01:05:51He likes you.
01:05:51Do you think he likes me enough to accept that?
01:05:53Yes, I am.
01:05:55Okay.
01:05:55I'm really sorry.
01:05:58Can you accept my apology?
01:05:59Yeah.
01:05:59I'm excited.
01:06:00You didn't mean it.
01:06:01You didn't start out.
01:06:02I'm excited that I'm here.
01:06:03Yeah.
01:06:03I'm happy you invited me.
01:06:05And I didn't mean it.
01:06:07Okay.
01:06:08Come here.
01:06:09Come here, darling.
01:06:11I love you, okay?
01:06:12Yep.
01:06:13I'm sorry.
01:06:14Here we are.
01:06:18If he doesn't know now,
01:06:19someone else is going to say it,
01:06:21and I'm, like, freaking out.
01:06:23Like, I'm going to tell him.
01:06:26Can I pull you for a sec for a chat?
01:06:28Cool.
01:06:29Bye.
01:06:30We've started off good,
01:06:32and this could change things
01:06:33when I tell him this information.
01:06:35Like, he might be really put off
01:06:37and be like,
01:06:37oh, I don't know if I like her now.
01:06:40Are you asking me something?
01:06:42No, I'll have to tell you something.
01:06:46Shit.
01:06:46Don't like that.
01:06:47Don't like it.
01:06:49I'm here for it, don't I?
01:06:52Do you want it?
01:06:52Yeah.
01:06:53It's all good.
01:06:55Okay.
01:06:56It's all right.
01:06:57It's all right.
01:06:59All right.
01:07:00Did you hear things?
01:07:02Did I hear things?
01:07:04What things?
01:07:05Around the room, like,
01:07:07people talking about something?
01:07:09No.
01:07:13Someone said something,
01:07:14and it's, like,
01:07:15something that I wanted to tell you myself,
01:07:17and I feel like...
01:07:19I mustn't have been listening, probably.
01:07:24Um...
01:07:25Like, I have a kid.
01:07:27You have a kid?
01:07:28Yeah.
01:07:40After an intervention from her mum
01:07:42to convince her to forgive Luke
01:07:44for being late to the wedding,
01:07:45and after multiple apologies from Luke himself,
01:07:49the question is,
01:07:51is Mel finally ready to move past it?
01:07:58Um, well, obviously, like,
01:08:00I wore a lot to you.
01:08:02I feel like, like...
01:08:04You were so late.
01:08:05Yeah.
01:08:06And then you came and you were chewing gum.
01:08:08Yeah.
01:08:10Yeah, yeah.
01:08:12Yeah, well, like...
01:08:14I feel like it's going to take me a little while
01:08:16to get past that.
01:08:22I thought she had forgiven me
01:08:24for being late to the wedding a while ago,
01:08:27but then she brought it up again,
01:08:29so I feel like there's still something that's there.
01:08:34Um...
01:08:35Yeah, I mean, I really am sorry for coming late,
01:08:38and I just want you to know
01:08:39that's not really me,
01:08:41and, like, maybe you don't believe that yet,
01:08:44but...
01:08:47Like, I want to show you that I'm not actually like that.
01:08:52Yeah.
01:08:57Yeah, I think it might still be a bit of an ongoing thing
01:09:01for a little bit.
01:09:03No doubt I slipped up a couple of times,
01:09:06but I would like to just, like, move forward with it
01:09:08and not keep looking at it kind of thing.
01:09:12Mm.
01:09:14Yeah, I'm not sure what he's expecting from me
01:09:16after today's played out.
01:09:17I think that he expects me just to push it under the rug
01:09:21and let it go.
01:09:21Yeah, I'm keen to just, like, yeah, show you
01:09:24that that's not actually me
01:09:25and, like, move forward with it all.
01:09:28Like, I feel like I'm just so upset.
01:09:31It has tainted my experience.
01:09:34Yeah.
01:09:35You know, you can kind of lose sleep over something like this.
01:09:38Yeah, fair enough.
01:09:42Mm.
01:09:44Yeah.
01:09:45Yeah.
01:09:46Yeah.
01:09:47Yeah.
01:09:58After her uncle accidentally exposed her secret,
01:10:01Gia has been forced to reveal she's a mum
01:10:04and has been worried about how Scott will react.
01:10:12I have a kid.
01:10:14You have a kid?
01:10:18It's all right.
01:10:20Is it all right?
01:10:21Like, I don't know, like...
01:10:23I've been with someone with a kid before.
01:10:25Oh, you have?
01:10:26Yeah, 100%.
01:10:26Oh, OK.
01:10:28Is that a deal-breaker?
01:10:29I love him to death.
01:10:30No, 100% it's not.
01:10:31It's not.
01:10:33As long as you're a good mum.
01:10:34Best mum, like, the best mum there is.
01:10:37That's my favourite thing.
01:10:38And it was, like, when you were asking me questions about me,
01:10:40I so badly want to be like...
01:10:41You all just want to tell me.
01:10:42Yeah, and I can't.
01:10:43And I've been, like, hiding it.
01:10:44And it's, like, it's stressing me.
01:10:45You just got to let it out.
01:10:46Well, you don't have a kid, and I'm, like, you could be, like...
01:10:49Against him?
01:10:50No.
01:10:50I love my brother's kid so much.
01:10:52Like, I'm, like, the favourite uncle.
01:10:55I love the kids.
01:10:57There's nothing wrong with her.
01:10:58Yeah.
01:10:59You're good.
01:10:59You can breathe me out.
01:11:01Because I feel like a weight off your shoulder.
01:11:03How do you feel about being, like, a stepdad, potentially?
01:11:06As long as they like me, too.
01:11:08To be honest, I don't think about it.
01:11:10Like, she's a part of you, which is a part of me.
01:11:15I'm so relieved.
01:11:17Everything I've said that I'm, like, could potentially put him off, he's like, I love that.
01:11:21I'm fine with this.
01:11:21I'm like, what?
01:11:24I'm going to be FaceTiming her, saying goodnight and shit, and I'm like...
01:11:27I'll jump on the FaceTiming.
01:11:29Are you?
01:11:29Yeah, I will.
01:11:30100%.
01:11:30Okay.
01:11:31I can feel for her, you know, being a single mum.
01:11:33It would be very hard.
01:11:34A lot of guys would say, no, it's a deal breaker.
01:11:36And I'm willing to take on the role of being a stepfather.
01:11:40Yeah.
01:11:40We're okay?
01:11:41Yeah, yeah, you're fine.
01:11:44Honestly, I couldn't thank the experts enough for matching me with someone like Gio.
01:11:49All right, to the dance floor, guys.
01:11:51Here's your first dance as husband and wife.
01:11:57That's the way it's gonna be.
01:12:04This is the woman.
01:12:05This is the one I've been looking for.
01:12:07I don't do it in my teeth.
01:12:13This is a true love story right now.
01:12:16I've got so much heaps from smiling.
01:12:21I could see myself falling for him.
01:12:24I mean, it's so early, but I've just...
01:12:26The spark I've had...
01:12:27I haven't had butterflies or a spark like that literally in years.
01:12:32I just feel so safe.
01:12:35And I feel like I can tackle whatever's ahead the next three months with him.
01:12:44Tomorrow night, it's Beck's turn to walk down the aisle.
01:12:49Oh, oh!
01:12:50Oh, my God!
01:12:52In one of the most unpredictable weddings...
01:12:55Oh!
01:12:57The experiment's ever seen.
01:12:59Oh, my God.
01:13:00You're okay.
01:13:01You're okay.
01:13:02I just want something serious.
01:13:03I don't want to be with anyone that gets arrested.
01:13:08And...
01:13:08Chris may be our greatest sceptic of all.
01:13:11This opinionated groom...
01:13:13Experts.
01:13:15If that's a qualification.
01:13:17...is the experiment's biggest cynic.
01:13:19Let's try and be the 0.0001% that works from this experiment.
01:13:25But will he be proven wrong by the experts?
01:13:28I don't care.
01:13:29I don't care.
01:13:30I don't care.
01:13:31I don't care.
