00:00Would President Trump like to see Lebanon included in this peace deal?
00:03As you know, there have been increased Israeli strikes on Lebanon today with dozens of casualties there.
00:08Sure. Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire.
00:11That has been relayed to all parties involved in the ceasefire.
00:14As you know, Prime Minister Netanyahu put out a statement last night in support of the ceasefire,
00:19in support of the United States' efforts.
00:21And he's also assured the President they'll continue to be a helpful partner
00:24throughout the course of the next two weeks.
00:26Is there any thought, though, that the President might like to see Lebanon included at a future date,
00:31given that it seems to be causing or potentially undermining the Iran ceasefire?
00:36Again, this will continue to be discussed, I am sure, between the President and Prime Minister Netanyahu,
00:42the United States and Israel, and all of the parties involved.
00:44But at this point in time, they're not included in the ceasefire deal.
00:47Jeff.
00:48Thank you. Caroline, will the U.S. take part in talks with Iran in Islamabad on Friday?
00:53I can announce that the President is dispatching his negotiating team,
00:58led by the Vice President of the United States, J.D. Vance, Special Envoy Whitcoff,
01:03and Mr. Kushner to Islamabad for talks this weekend.
01:06The first round of those talks will take place on Saturday morning, local time.
01:10And we know we look forward to those in-person meetings.
01:13What role does the President see for the U.S.
01:15attacks from Israel?
01:16I mean, is there any concern that Netanyahu is trying to kill the ceasefire?
01:20The President spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu last night.
01:23And in that private conversation, Prime Minister Netanyahu relayed exactly what he said to the world publicly,
01:28that he supports the President and Israel remains a key ally and partner to the United States.
01:33They've been a tremendous partner over the course of the past six weeks.
01:36And we thank them for their heroic efforts as well.
01:40And the President had that conversation last night,
01:43and that was relayed to the world publicly as well.
01:46Reagan, go ahead.
01:47On Iran, it's been reported that the ceasefire was struck after the involvement of two unlikely factors,
01:53J.D. Vance and China.
01:54What role did those parties play in striking a deal?
01:58Well, Vice President Vance has played a very significant and a key role in this since the very beginning.
02:03Of course, he's the President's right-hand man. He is the Vice President of the United States.
02:07He's been involved in all of these discussions.
02:09And as I just announced, he'll be leading this new phase of negotiations in Islamabad later this week.
02:16With respect to China, there were conversations that took place between top levels of our government and China's government.
02:25The President has great respect for President Xi and a great working relationship with him and with that country.
02:31And he looks forward to visiting China in just a few weeks.
02:35And on the dignity?
02:37This is on the top of the priority list for the President and his negotiating team as they head into
02:41this next round of discussions.
02:43And as I said in my opener, that is a red line that the President is not going to back
02:47away from.
02:48And he's committed to ensuring that takes place. We hope it will be through diplomacy.
02:53But have they given any indication that they would turn it over?
02:56They have.
02:56They have.
02:57Yes.
02:58Trevor.
02:58The Press the latest news out of Iran is that the air defenses have been, that a nuclear war cannot
03:03be won and must never be fought.
03:04Is that still the view of this administration?
03:06Edited is now Fox 332- mortgage-com sunscreen.
03:06Is that still it?
