00:00J.D. Vance is saying that the U.S. has largely accomplished its military objectives in Iran already.
00:07I mean, is that how it looks to you?
00:08So it's difficult to understand, and this is part of the challenge with this war,
00:13is the objectives of the United States are undefined, are nonspecific.
00:24So we know we don't like nuclear weapons.
00:27We know we don't want Iran to have a nuclear capacity.
00:29That's an easy one.
00:32But everything else is somewhat complicated, and therefore it's hard to assess with any kind of certainty if objectives are
00:41achieved.
00:42It's like navigation.
00:43You need a start point and an end point to know how far you're going.
00:47If not, you're just walking and hoping for the best.
00:51I do think that the United States does have objectives.
00:54I do think that there are goals and all those things.
00:57I just think that they've done not the best job of articulating those publicly.
