00:13The 56-year-old supposed leader has not been seen since he was injured during the initial
00:17February 28th strikes that killed his father Ali Khomeini and much of his family, with only
00:22written statements given as questionable proof of leadership. That is because he is currently
00:26undergoing medical treatment for a severe condition in the holy city of Qom, roughly 87 miles south of
00:32Tehran, according to an assessment obtained by the Times of London. Moshtaba Khomeini is being
00:37treated in Qom in a severe condition, unable to be involved in any decision making by the regime.
00:42The memo based on U.S. and Israeli intelligence reads,
00:45Until now, conflicting reports have emerged about the extent of Khomeini's injuries,
00:49ever since he was wounded during the outbreak of the war, with his absence only fueling speculation.
00:54Some reports claimed he suffered only a fractured foot and other minor injuries,
00:59while others suggested he was in a coma. Since being named his father's successor last month,
01:04Khomeini has been said to have issued orders and written statements that have been broadcast via
01:08state media anchors. I assure everyone that we will not refrain from avenging the blood of your
01:12martyrs, the Supreme Leader supposedly said in his initial written statement on March 12th.
01:18The retaliation we have in mind is not limited only to the martyrdom of the great leader of
01:28the revolution, Ali Khomeini. Rather, every member of the nation who is martyred by the enemy
01:33constitutes a separate case in the file of revenge. A follow-up threat came on April 1st,
01:39when a statement said to have come from Khomeini was reported to have vowed to support anti-American
01:43and anti-Israeli terrorist cells in the Middle East.
01:47I firmly declare that the consistent policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in continuing the
01:52path of the late Imam and martyred leader is based on continuing to support the resistance
01:57against the Zionist American enemy, said the statement claiming to be by Khomeini.
