00:09When you see a big superhero movie, it's always a guy and then the girl.
00:12These movies allow us to be the hero, also to be the villain.
00:15Women's roles have evolved the most in these as well.
00:18You go back to 70s horror movies and it was, you know, help me, I'm helpless and, you know, and
00:23then I'm the final girl by luck.
00:24Now they are final girls by strategy, by sheer force of wit and mind.
00:31And so I do think that this genre allows that evolution much faster than other genres.

01:26It's competition.
01:27And so anytime in cinema you can show women supporting women, women loving women, and women really seeing women.

01:35Even the environment for me to work with you and Samara Waving on this film was really eye-opening and
01:42opened my heart up and gave me a lot of confidence.
01:44You don't know how a movie's going to be when you start filming it and I promise you it was
01:48the most empowered and confident I ever felt on a set.
01:51Why war against the elite, the system, and horror movie are a great combo?
01:56I think horror allows you to make a statement about society without you having to feel like it's just your
02:06everyday life.
02:07That you're able to still lose yourself in a world and feel like you've been taken away somewhere and you're
02:13not hit over the head with the commentary.
02:15And I think society in general is pretty ridiculous and what's happening and a power grab and how much power
02:21is too much power.
02:22So to sort of take it to the level of Satan, of the devil, and really sort of say that
02:29but in a ridiculous way, I think, maybe hopefully makes people take a second look at what's happening.
02:35People want this movie.
02:36This only happened because the fans demanded it after the first Ready or Not.
02:40And that says everything.
02:42There's more blood in this movie because it's what they asked for.
02:45There's another girl in the movie because maybe they liked it enough and they're like, hey, it works.
02:49And I'm really happy that they thought of me because I had a lot of fun.
