00:00This is the world's shortest passenger flight.
00:0341-year-old travel vlogger Noel Phillips documented his journey from between the islands of Papa Westray and Westray and
00:10the Scottish archipelagos of Orkney.
00:13The Logan Air flight is a mere 1.7 miles, or 2.7 kilometers, and took Phillips 1 minute and
00:2014 seconds.
00:22Considering its duration, this flight is also one of the most expensive in the world at 17 pounds, or $20
00:29.55.
00:31And though criticized by some as being unnecessary, those trying to reach the more populated places in the Orkney region
00:37would have to take to choppy waters and sail for 20 minutes.
00:41It doesn't sound like much, but it must be a hard enough journey to warrant these flights.
00:45It was suggested a bridge be built between the islands, but as these things do, it's taking a long time
00:51to get approved.
00:52In an interview, Phillips told SWNS,
00:55I love flying on little flights like this and traveling around some of the world's most remote communities.
01:00It's very popular with tourists and aviation enthusiasts.
01:121 minute and 14 seconds.
01:15The flight is scheduled at 2 minutes long, according to Logan Air, but the current record is 53 seconds.
01:22Now that is one short flight.
