00:00Hi Fang. Can you come here? I just like sit there and I'm like okay I'll just read. I'll just
00:06like
00:06hang out here and just spend time here. And then they get kind of like more interested the more
00:11like they're like oh wait you came to me? I guess this is not so bad like maybe I should
00:17see what's
00:17going on over there. Fang and his sister Ash were found. He actually bit the finder. He was just
00:25really scared and didn't know what to do. The person who found him took him to the city shelter
00:30because he had bit the finder. He had to do department of health holds for 10 days and they
00:36were also just stuck there. Nobody was really taking them. They needed to be socialized otherwise
00:41they just would have a much harder chance getting adopted later. So I just decided to take them.
00:49Oh wow. Ash was definitely more socialized but Fang specifically he would just
00:55hide. He seemed just genuinely scared. So the first step is just like letting them be used to
01:01being around you. He's in his playpen and I'm just walking by. I'm getting him used to just me being
01:07around. If I was like playing with Ash or like had a toy he'd be like he'd start like kind
01:15of inching
01:15up towards me.
01:22But then if I like went to him he'd be like no no.
01:30Okay so I'm gonna see if Fang will eat this salmon from my hand.
01:36If I had food he'd be like okay I really want that food.
01:45I would basically be like okay you have to come up here if you want the food put your paws
01:49on my lap
01:50for a second just to get him used to that too. Being like okay it's not that scary to be
01:55on a lap.
01:58I will pet him a little bit. He will just eventually like learn to come to me.
02:04We want to give him the space to to come on his own.
02:16Good job Fang. Good job. He's letting me pet him for a little bit longer. He's actually coming up
02:23on the couch and like sitting here. And then eventually yeah then it was like oh my gosh
02:28he went on my lap. It's amazing.
02:33I was like okay I think he's ready. Fang and Ash were adopted but they were
02:37adopted separately. Fang's new adopters picked him up from me leaving the house.
02:42He was a little scared but that's normal because new people were coming in and he was like who are
02:47these people.
02:50And his new adopters were great like they were so patient with him. Great with him.
