Cat Whose Family Left Him Behind Gets Rescued

00:00He had been adopted as a kitten, and then they moved away and they left him behind.

00:07It took a little bit of time to catch him. We had to kind of chase him around.

00:10Aww, he's so cute!

00:13He was pretty scared, maybe from being outside for two years.

00:17He was skinny, had mange, and a bunch of scars on his face.

00:22So we had to go and knock on everyone's doors and make sure it was okay to go into their yard.

00:26Sure enough, he was sleeping on someone's back porch.

00:29Hey kitty! Are you missing me? It's okay.

00:40And we lured him out and were able to get him.

00:43Today is day one of Ares' treatment. We just rescued him this afternoon. Ares!

01:02A feral cat takes more time, usually, because they go from not having any human contact to really learning how to trust a human.

01:12He really warmed up, and then he just became the absolute lover.
