00:00Well, I'm deeply honored to have the endorsement of our president, Donald J. Trump, the governor of California.
00:08As I said to the president last night after he made his endorsement public, I will fight like you've never
00:14seen before to save our beautiful state of California.
00:17This is the best place in the world. All we need is a new governor. Very soon we're going to
00:21have that.
00:22The governor who will focus on common sense and fighting the corruption and the fraud that we've got.
00:27After 16 years of one party rule where we've ended up with the highest poverty rate in the country, the
00:33highest unemployment rate, the highest cost of living, all of that can change if we vote for change.
00:39And that's what I'm fighting for, to make change happen, to make our state cal affordable.
00:45Three dollar gas, cut your electric bills in half, your first hundred grand tax free, a home you can afford
00:52to buy.
00:53That's what I mean by making this state truly golden again, the best place in America, the best place in
01:00the world to start and raise a family, to start and run a business.
01:04That's what we can have in California. We can have it if we vote for it.
01:09But you've got people running around saying that this is always going to be a Democrat state, that we can't
01:16have change in California.
01:18There's just one thing I want to say I saw as part of the reaction to the president's endorsement.
01:24I want to read you this because it tells you something about the arrogance of the machine, the Democrat machine
01:31that's been ruling California and ruining California for so long.
01:35This is from a very seasoned political observer in California, Rob Pires.
01:42Here it is. Trump's endorsement of Steve Hilton likely frees up tens of millions of dollars for Democratic groups who
01:51would have otherwise had to spend heavily to elevate one of the two leading GOP gubernatorial candidates to avoid a
02:00Democratic lockout.
02:01There you have it. The arrogance of these people spending tens of millions of dollars to pick the person that
02:08they want to run against in the general election.
02:11They think they own this place, the Democrat machine. They think they're born to rule California forever.
02:17That it's just going to go on and on and on. Well, it's not like that in America.
02:22We don't have an aristocracy in America. We don't have inherited power in America.
02:26We the people decide who is in charge, not the Democrat machine, not the unions.
02:34We decide. And this year we are going to decide that we've had enough of these Democrats who've done so
02:42much damage to our state.
02:43We're going to decide to go in a new direction. And so this is the moment for everybody who wants
02:49change in California,
02:51especially all my Republican friends, to come together, to unite, to focus on what we need to do to beat
02:59the Democrats in November and bring change to California.
