00:00Look, Spencer Pratt put forward an unbelievably compelling case for change in Los Angeles.
00:09Not just that he made the argument so strongly about why change is necessary and what's gone wrong.
00:15He had some really serious positive plans for change, particularly on homelessness.
00:20And I remember when he published his homelessness plan, I said, you know, this is very much in line with
00:24what I've been arguing,
00:25what we've been working on, my policy organization, Golden Together, for many years.
00:29And so I am absolutely I think that what's happened with Spencer Pratt is a travesty.
00:36It is a travesty that Los Angeles now, with all the problems that we can all see in this election,
00:43is going to have a choice between the obviously incompetent incumbent and an ideological extremist.
00:50That is no choice at all. And that that situation in Los Angeles points to another major change we need
00:56to make,
00:56which is to end this ridiculous top two system in California.
01:01It is it's an absolute abomination, a complete undermining of democracy.
01:06When you have so many people in Los Angeles who desperately want change and they are now not going to
01:13have the choice for change in November.
01:16It is an outrage and a travesty that Spencer won't be on there.
01:20I think he's fought an incredible campaign.
01:22I think his ideas are incredibly strong and I'll be honored and proud to have him work with me as
01:28the next governor in any capacity.
