00:00I don't know what everybody's reaction to last night was, and whether or not, win or lose,
00:06because the Warriors are now officially the 10 seed, done deal with their loss last night,
00:13and even with the loss, like that was kind of my thought.
00:18As the shot goes in the air at the buzzer, there was a piece of me that was like,
00:23it would really be amazing if this goes in.
00:26But it really doesn't matter if it doesn't.
00:28Because the mission of last night was completely accomplished.
00:34Don't you feel, just by watching that, didn't that ignite the idea they could come out of the play-in?
00:45And maybe that doesn't matter to you.
00:47And I understand that as a Warrior fan, if that does nothing for you.
00:51But making the playoffs to me, and clearly to them, is a thing.
00:55And didn't last night do enough to make you feel like they might.
01:03They might.
01:04They might.
01:04I mean, they might because he might.
01:06And if he does what he does, and that's Steph Curry, yeah, you might.
01:11I mean, Steph Curry, when he gets into that mode, is the best player in the world.
01:15Hitting threes, step back threes, you know, dribble, dribble threes, whatever he does.
01:20Because I think that when he gets into that mode, you can rightly believe that anything is possible.
01:26And that is, you know, beat Portland on the road, sure.
01:29Go to L.A. or Phoenix on the road, sure.
01:32Beat OKC?
01:33I mean, probably not.
01:35Come on.
01:35But honestly, like, having him back gave me those same kind of feelings.
01:40Like, oh my God, he does that in, what, 26 minutes?
01:44Yeah, you can believe it.
01:46Unbelievable.
01:47Unbelievable.
01:47Yeah, and even, like, the first four minutes were like, oh, boy.
01:51Well, no, but you almost expected it.
01:53Sure, yeah.
01:53You know, he drove, and he kind of got caught in no man's land.
01:57He threw up a weird shot.
01:59There were moments where you're like, are you limping?
02:02It's just, there were moments.
02:03And I think you have to give someone a minute to shake the rust off.
02:07And in fact, like, compare it to Porzingis.
02:10Porzingis was shaking the rust off, it felt like, for about four games.
02:13At least.
02:14Steph Curry shook the rust off for four minutes.
02:16And then you're like, oh, my God.
02:1929 points in 26 minutes.
02:22Still, clearly, the gravity that he brings to the court was more so than any other player out there.
02:29Even Kevin Durant, I thought.
02:31And so, it just, it changes everything.
02:35And it goes back to exactly what I said the second he missed the shot.
02:39I'm like, there's just no salary big enough.
02:40That was as much fun as I've had watching a Warrior game in months.
02:46Two months, yeah.
02:46Yep.
02:47Two months.
02:47And it makes me think about, like, next year, if you can keep Chris Saps and, you know, Jimmy comes
02:52back.
02:53Whatever.
02:53It's not about next year yet.
02:55But watching that made me think more about next year than it had me thinking about, like, these playoffs.
03:01Because, you're right, they could beat Portland.
03:03They could, you know, come out of the play-in and be the eight and, you know, take on the
03:07one.
03:08Whatever.
03:08That's a positive to have the young people actually get a series.
03:12But next year is really, for me, the year.
03:16It probably is.
03:17And, I mean, the Warriors have already even, you know, Slater had that piece a few weeks ago where he's
03:21like,
03:22the Warriors are now all about next year.
03:25And if you want to call it the last dance, go right ahead.
03:28I don't know how this holds.
03:29There's so many question marks.
03:31Yeah.
03:32You know, even Steph talking on Saturday about doing a full reset for next season with regard to his health.
03:39And we'll get to that in just a minute because I actually think what he said on Saturday might be
03:44even a little bit more intriguing
03:46than what he said after the game last night.
03:48He performed wonderfully.
03:50He got everybody activated.
03:52He seemed to feel good after the game.
03:54I would imagine he still felt good when he woke up this morning.
03:58And so all signs are pointing to him again playing another 25 minutes or so tomorrow night with the Sacramento
04:04Kings in town.
04:05And so that's all wonderful.
04:07But I do think there were some things he said on Saturday that are worth our time with regard to
04:13his health.
04:14So, yeah, like I'm with you.
04:17Do I separate whatever this can be versus whatever that can be?
04:23And the questions of that being next season, is Steph healthy?
04:27When does Jimmy come back?
04:29Is Chris Stapps on the team?
04:30And did you add somebody else significant?
04:33Are the four top massive questions for me?
04:37And those will determine what they've really got a shot to do next year.
04:41Yeah, and for like that is all down the road.
04:44But for whatever this is, yeah, I'm excited for this.
04:47Like play again and, you know, play 26, 28 minutes or whatever.
04:51And Chris Stapps, stay healthy and Draymond.
04:53And who knows?
04:54Maybe you get through the play in and you get an actual playoff series, which I think has value in
04:59and of itself.
05:00Of course it does.
05:01Right.
05:02I mean, I think last night answered all of those questions, didn't it?
05:08Didn't it get into your veins?
05:10Right.
05:10So if it got into your veins, then even if it's just four more against Oklahoma City, then do it
05:16again.
05:16Right.
05:17Shoot it into the veins again.
05:19Questions about, oh, should he play and should they tank and all the rest of it?
05:22The answers are no.
05:24Yeah.
05:25Yeah.
05:25That changes absolutely everything.
05:28And I hope it was just a not so gentle reminder to everybody with regard to whenever he plays basketball,
05:37it is complete and total box office.
05:40He is now 38 years old.
05:43Man.
05:43Please, please, please, please suit up as many times as you possibly can.
05:50And that's it.
05:51And we're here for it.
05:52Whenever you want.
05:53You suit up, you play, and everybody with all of your questions and your concerns, please fade to the background.
06:00Please just suit up and play whenever you want to and whenever you can.
06:05That's it.
06:06Yep.
06:06There's no load management.
06:08There's no more any of that.
06:10Like, you know, we're here toward the play-in.
06:12If he's healthy, he plays.
06:14And if they can make it deep, he plays.
06:15And then next year, he's going to play.
06:17No more bubble wrap.
06:20We'd love to just hear from everybody with regard to what that sort of did for you.
06:27What kind of thought came to mind as he got back on the court last night?
06:32There's plenty of other stuff that we are going to get to today.
06:34First of all, Steve Kerr is going to join us at 5.
06:37Frank Caliendo is in town and will be in studio in the 4 o'clock hour.
06:42I mean, there's no better laugh than a Frank Caliendo belly laugh.
06:46So, we're going to do that in the 4 o'clock hour.
06:49Yes, the San Francisco Giants deserve our attention and our rants.
06:53And so do all of you who booed Brandon Pajemski on Friday night.
06:58So, we'll get to all of that.
06:59But the Steph Curry performance last night, what did it do for you, Warrior fans?
07:03What sort of thoughts did it bring to mind?
07:05What sort of thoughts did it bring to mind?
