00:07caused by the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by Washington.
00:11Through his ex-social media account, the Cuban President stated that he was referring in particular to the consequences of
00:17the energy blockade imposed by the current U.S. government and its threats of even more aggressive actions.
00:22The U.S. can also refer to the Cuban government's willingness to engage in serious and responsible bilateral dialogue and
00:28find solutions to existing differences.
00:37And the Cuban Ambassador to Mexico, Eugenio Martinez-Enriquez, expressed his gratitude for the statement issued by various Mexican universities
00:44calling for the resumption of fuel supplies to Cuba.
00:47For his social media, Eugenio Martinez expressed his gratitude to the more than 230 professors and academics from 35 universities
00:54in Mexico for their appeal and condemnation of the U.S. economic blockade against Cuba.
00:59In his statement, the Mexican academics also urged all Latin American countries to resume sales of energy supplies to Cuba,
01:05as well as the reestablishment of economic agreements.
01:07Furthermore, they described the actions of the U.S. government as the main threat to humanity and world peace.
01:19And also among the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez-Parrilla remembered the 66th anniversary of the signing of the Mallory
01:26Memorandum, which he described as the basis for the United States government's policy of economic strangulation against Cuba, a policy
01:32that is now intensifying.
01:33In a post on his social media account, Bruno Rodriguez stated,
01:37This is why they are imposing a non-presidential energy blockade on us, threatening any sovereign nation to sever its
01:43ties with our country,
01:44persecuting our legitimate medical collaboration, including us on an unilateral and fraudulent list of alleged sponsors of terrorism,
01:51and waging a cognitive and communications war aimed at legitimizing the lies that underpin their measures.
02:03And in Bolivia, civil society organizations denounced the U.S. government's plans for a direct armed attack against Cuba.
02:10Activists stated that the current aggressiveness of the U.S. administration violates international law and seeks a change of government

02:18Given these circumstances, they argued that it is necessary to move beyond international condemnations and statements to providing material and
02:25effective support.
02:26In this regard, the participants called to speak out against any threat of military aggression against the U.S. administration.
