A highly controversial claim from U.S. President Donald Trump is sparking outrage and intense debate amid the ongoing Iran conflict.

Trump has alleged that Iranian authorities persecute LGBTQ individuals, claiming that Gay people are punished brutally under the regime. His remarks—made while criticizing Iran and its supporters—have gone viral, with some interpreting them as justification for aggressive U.S. action.

00:00You talk about, oh, freedom for Iran, they don't tell you the real facts.
00:05Women, men, gays, how about gays for Iran?
00:12They kill the gays, they throw them off buildings.
00:14So I wonder what's going on.
00:17I can only say this, they want us to keep bombing,
00:22even if it jeopardizes, because their life is in much greater danger.
00:26Why would they want you to blow up their infrastructure, to cut off their power?
00:30Wouldn't that be punishing Iranians for the actions of the regime?
00:33They would be willing to, and it's suffering,
00:36they would be willing to suffer that in order to have freedom.
00:40The Iranians have, and we've had numerous intercepts.
00:44Please keep bombing.
00:46Bombs that are dropping near their homes, please keep bombing.
00:50Do it.
00:51And these are people that are living where the bombs are exploding.
00:55And when we leave and we're not hitting those areas,
00:58they're saying, please come back, come back, come back.
01:01These are the people.
01:03I don't know what they do.
01:05All I can tell you is they want freedom.
01:07They have lived in a world that you know nothing about.
01:11It's a violent, horrible world, where if you protest, you are shot.
01:17Remember the great woman protest, where they had 400,000, 500,000 women,
01:21and they were all enthused, and they were going to protest,
01:24and everybody said, oh, the regime is going to come to an end.
01:27And then all of a sudden, boom, boom, five, six different areas,
01:35a woman would go down right between the eyes.
01:38They had snipers.
01:39They had five snipers.
01:39That's all it took.
01:41And those 400,000 or 500,000 women said, oh, my God, what's that?
01:46Oh, look over there.
01:47What's that?
01:48A woman shot right between the eyes.
01:52And after five or six of them go down,
01:55then you start hearing the purr through the vast number of people.
02:01And then they said, oh, my God, who would do that?
02:05And they're incredible people.
02:07But they've lived so horribly.
02:09They've lived so horribly.
02:11You know, Iran was a great country, if you go back 25 years ago or so.
02:16The Persian people, they're incredible, smart, brilliant, actually.
02:21And I know so many.
02:22I know, coming from New York, originally, I know so many people from Iran.
02:26They're incredible people, incredible energy, and very, very brilliant people.
02:32But when you're standing in a group and protesting and you have a woman,
02:36in the case of a woman, remember the great woman march.
02:38Everybody was like, oh, this is the end of the country.
02:42And then snipers selectively picked.
02:45Every single one was shot right between the eyes from a long distance.
02:49They were on top of buildings.
02:51Nobody even knew where they were, where they're coming from.
02:53This wasn't like a machine gun, which is also very bad.
02:56They've done that, too.
02:57They did that recently.
02:59This was snipers sitting on the top of buildings, aiming and hitting women.
03:05And when they see people go down, and all of a sudden, there's a riot in the reverse direction.
03:11And they never came out again.
03:13And a lot of the news doesn't talk about it.
03:16They talk about, oh, women's rights.
03:18You want to see women's rights?
03:19You're not going to see it there.
03:20It's amazing when I see some of the stupid people, like, you know, AOC plus three, all that group.
03:26They talk about, oh, freedom for Iran.
03:30They don't tell you the real facts.
03:32Women, men, gays.
03:35How about gays for Iran?
03:38They kill the gays.
03:39They throw them off buildings.
03:41So I wonder, what's going on?
03:43I can only say this.
03:46They want us to keep bombing, even if it jeopardizes, because their life is in much greater danger.
03:52They want freedom for Iran.
03:53But it's very hard for them to protest.
03:55I actually tell them, I said, don't go out.
03:57I fully understand.
03:59Nobody in this room would go out.
04:00I don't think there's anything.
04:01Because, frankly, it's not a question of bravery.
04:03We're all brave, right?
04:04You're brave.
04:05I'm brave.
04:05We're all brave.
04:06But we're also intelligent.
04:09If you have people shooting at you, expert shots with the best rifles you can get,
04:15and hitting you right between the eyes every single time,
04:19and you're looking here, and you're seeing, and you're looking here,
04:22you're out of there.
04:23I don't care who.
