00:00John Ratcliffe, he did a phenomenal job that night.
00:04He did something that I don't know if you want to talk about it.
00:06If you want, you can. I'm not sure you're supposed to.
00:08I'm not going to talk about it.
00:09But the CIA was very responsible for finding this little speck.
00:13It's like they used an expression on one of the shows.
00:16The general was talking about it's like finding a needle in a haystack,
00:20finding this pilot.
00:21You may, if you can, you'll talk.
00:22It might be classified, in which case I'd have to put him in jail if he talks about it.
00:27And I don't want to put him in jail.
00:28He doesn't deserve that.
00:30So I just, I'm so proud of the people that I have standing up here with me,
00:34and many others that worked.
00:35I mean, so many.
00:37Steve Witkoff is over here.
00:38He's doing fantastically.
00:40Jared Kushner.
00:41But the people that are here, the job they did is amazing.
00:45And I think I'm going to introduce the head of the CIA.
00:48And he is a man who, he's central casting, okay?
00:53If we cast a movie, he's going to play the head of the CIA.
00:56He's one of the few.
00:58John Ratcliffe, he did a phenomenal job that night.
01:02He did something that, I don't know if you want to talk about it.
01:04If you want, you can.
01:05I'm not sure he's supposed to.
01:06I'm not going to talk about it.
01:07But he really, the CIA was very responsible for finding this little speck.
01:12It's like they used an expression on one of the shows.
01:15The general was talking about, it's like finding a needle in a haystack,
01:19finding this pilot.
01:21And the CIA was unbelievable.
01:23And you may, if you can, you'll talk, it might be classified.
01:27In which case, I'd have to put him in jail if he talks about it.
01:30And I don't want to put him in jail.
01:31He doesn't deserve that.
01:33So, John, do you want to say a few words?
01:36At the President's direction, we deployed both human assets and exquisite technologies
01:42that no other intelligence service in the world possesses to a daunting challenge,
01:47comparable to hunting for a single grain of sand in the middle of a desert.
01:53This was also a race against the clock, as it was critical that we locate the downed aviator
01:59as quickly as possible, while at the same time keeping our enemies misdirected.
02:06For that reason, in addition to the human and technical assets deployed by the President to
02:13find our airmen, CIA executed a deception campaign to confuse the Iranians who were desperately
02:21hunting for our airmen. On Saturday morning, we achieved our primary objective by finding
02:28and providing confirmation that one of America's best and bravest was alive and concealed in a
02:35mountain crevice, still invisible to the enemy, but not to the CIA. That confirmation was relayed by
02:44Secretary Hegseth to the President, and the operation quickly moved to the execution phase.
02:51Following the successful exfiltration on Saturday night, our intelligence reflects that the Iranians
02:57were embarrassed and ultimately humiliated by the success of this audacious rescue mission.
03:05When the President asked me to lead the CIA, he made it clear, get back to basics, no politics,
03:12no agendas, tackle the hardest problems, and execute the toughest missions. This President is about
03:20results, and now that's what his CIA is about too. The professionals at the agency and at the
03:28Department of War deserve immense credit for their flawless execution during this daring mission. Their
03:34skill, creativity, and courage are unmatched on the battlefield wherever they step.
03:42But none of that matters, and all of that is wasted without a President with the political courage
03:49courage to put them into action.
