00:02oh wow oh my god families across Australia are drowning in clutter
00:13this is what we took out of your house all of them are desperate for help clutter is
00:23anything that gets between you and the life you want to live Peter Walsh frees them from the stuff
00:30holding them back yes while Cherie Barber renovates their homes in record time
00:40and Angie Kent brings much loved treasures back to life it gives me goosebumps
00:49oh it's the greatest oh my god transformation amazing of their lives
01:11Marg has been married to her high school sweetheart Chris for 30 years
01:15and they live together with their daughters Holly and Cassidy
01:19Marg's very artistic with painting or ceramics she's run marathons for charity and she's a very
01:26social person she'll go out every night of the week if she's got the chance to which is great
01:30because she's enjoying life and making the most of every minute and I love her for that
01:35but it's what's going on inside the family's home that's causing conflict
01:43with a lot of stuff everywhere it just feels all consuming it's coming down on top of you
01:48and it's frustrating everything you'll say it's my mum's stuff causes a lot of stress with everyone
01:55in the house yeah it's crazy I have obsessions like I collect jugs knickknacks there's craft supplies
02:06everywhere I just can't let things go and I can't let things go to waste so I'm always thinking I
02:13should be able to repurpose it because she says it's her house she thinks that it's okay to have
02:18everything out but I don't bring people over because it's embarrassing but she doesn't understand
02:25that we argue over a little spoon or a mug and I'll get upset I get emotional and then I
02:34give up
02:35because I just can't deal with it little arguments explode into big arguments that don't need to be an
02:40argument at all if everyone just accepted the clutter
02:53when one person in a household stops listening to everyone else's point of view resentment can
02:58quickly build and for Marg her out of control collecting habit and blindness to the clutter
03:04is threatening her family's future
03:14hello so we hear there might be a little bit of clutter in this house a little bit just a
03:18little
03:18bit can we check it out absolutely please please come in no whoa big giant skeleton
03:26that's indiana bones indiana bones there's so much stuff wow
03:38besides the skeleton who lives in the house me mark yeah me chris myself and holly
03:44and our other daughter cassidy got it okay and our stuff yeah there's a lot going on pretty much
03:52every flat surface has something on it i'm guessing every cupboard then is whoa it's chockers
04:00so uh drawers as well maybe okay sorry are you serious i've got six of everything
04:11chris what's the feeling it creates for you and it just becomes overwhelming and it's really busy
04:17holly what's your feeling about all of this i absolutely hate it in fact really yeah is there
04:24much conflict about this with you and your mom yes really yeah perhaps it's your delivery
04:33feel that mood change marg why are we here we're here because apparently i have too much stuff
04:41and um yeah to me yeah it doesn't really bother me okay i also see there's kind of a lounge
04:49dining
04:50area over here can we check that out sure okay let's go for it what we do this
04:57once again there's just a ton of stuff in here there is so so many trinkets but the thing that
05:04i'm
05:04most amazed at is the sheer volume of furniture i mean couches an extra dining table six cabinets
05:13i mean wow it's mind-boggling
05:18i grew up in a family of five children and a single mum my dad passed away when i was
05:26two
05:26so i don't want to say poor but it was challenging my mum used to go to the op shop
05:32and it was like
05:33well that's a way of affording a bit more and that sort of introduced me to the idea of
05:38fossicking through other people's throw out so that's probably escalated the way i hold on to
05:44things sheree what do you think well i'm thinking this is probably a 1930s bungalow house is that right
05:52yes but not this bit right not this bit definitely that sort of half of the house looks like that's
05:57that era i love the charm of this heritage home but the past extension has left a chaotic mismatch
06:05of surfaces and styles with ornate cornices clashing with exposed brick concrete shelves
06:11and different shades of timber so i need to give this a massive spruce up whilst respecting its
06:17beautiful 1930s features i'm curious what's with this cat rung thing here we have four cats and that
06:26is how they get up and get out into their cat pen so they don't get squished on the road
06:32and you want
06:32that to stay yes please yeah so what else are we looking at there's another room at the front of
06:38the
06:38house why don't you two check this out why don't you two come with me let's go come on let's
06:42do it
06:43oh wish us luck good luck
06:51wow
06:56yeah it's a lot yeah this is the room of chaos
07:04there's this whole sense of well if we laugh it off we don't have to deal with it that's probably
07:11right but but yes and no you're getting upset yeah oh don't get upset it's just stuff but it's not
07:20just
07:20stuff and suddenly i scratch the surface yeah and this comes to the surface well we have a lot of
07:28arguments over it and it gets very emotional for me could this stuff end your marriage
07:36i don't know
07:41we've been going out since we're 15 years old
07:44i used to ride my bike from my school to hers every lunchtime
07:47and we love each other and we're there for each other
07:52but it's a battle each day the clutter um sorry um it's it feels like it can't relax
08:03because it's it's caving in on you and i still don't feel like that anymore
08:09feels like you're more invested in this than us and that's what the issue is with
08:13me is that how you feel absolutely okay i can tell you right now if you stay on this path
08:21this will destroy this family
08:25when you step into this house what do you want to feel
08:29i want to feel love comfort enjoyment and family
08:33okay what do you want to feel when you step into this house
08:36serenity okay then as we're working together when you look at any item you have to ask
08:44will it give me love comfort serenity family okay okay let's go grab anything you want let's go guys
08:59to deal with the clutter that's become a huge source of conflict within the family
09:04thousands of belongings have boxed up and removed from the home
09:10i think the next few days going to be a roller coaster
09:13mark's sort of thinking as a singular person not how it affected everyone else
09:18i'm feeling like me and my dad have the same views
09:22versus her so it could be a bit of trouble there
09:30coming up as the reno team uncover a nasty surprise
09:34that is really rotten
09:36facing the clutter triggers laughter from mark
09:39but brings holly and chris to the brink
09:48we get a box for games
09:49box for games
09:51peter's helping mark clear out her cluttered home
09:54after her love of op shopping spun out of control
09:57and is now threatening to tear her family apart
10:04it's really important that when you're packing up as many things as we are today
10:08keep like items together okay all the glasses together we'll get in the truck
10:12i'll grab some more stuff
10:21in the front room angie uncovers a hidden gem that was buried under the mess
10:28mug oh my gosh look at this isn't she beautiful
10:32oh my god i love her
10:35chris bought me this for my 21st birthday
10:39i actually don't know where he bought it from because it was a surprise
10:43how long do you reckon it's been in here
10:45it'd be 20 plus years
10:47i don't think my children have actually had the pleasure of seeing this
10:51ever see okay while mark doesn't know the origin of this gorgeous art deco treasure
10:56and thinks it no longer works i reckon it could be a pretty rare find so i want to get
11:03it valued
11:03by an expert i know and see if we can get it working again
11:10with the last room emptied of possessions everything's transported in loaded up vans and trucks
11:17to a nearby warehouse where it's all unpacked and laid out into categories so the huge task of
11:24decluttering can begin the amount of stuff we're dealing with is enormous and by her own admission
11:32it pretty much all belongs to mark and while she laughs it off it's clear her family are at breaking
11:38point with her marriage to chris on the line so to bring harmony back into their lives i need mark
11:44to
11:44face up to the difficult challenge ahead on the count of three i want you to open your eyes and
11:50have a look at the clutter that came out of your home one two three open your eyes
12:01oh my god that's a lot my heart's racing really to see it in one space is just it's a
12:17lot it's a lot
12:19let me show you what's here okay here we go
12:24in front of you are tables and boxes of glassware kitchenware platters plates i think we had that
12:33much glassware there's crafting supplies a ton of furniture we have seven racks and five tables
12:41of clothes of clothes bags and hats it's cheaper and here more than 200 pairs of shoes
12:54no and that's not all over here on the wall of wonder we have more than a hundred and eighty
13:01candles
13:02i knew almost 70 vases oh no and here right in front of you we have 75 jugs that's crazy
13:17this took 350 bins boxes bags and totes to get from your house to here in the hall
13:31this is overwhelming yeah it's too much it's absolutely too much i'm thinking i must find
13:37comfort in stuff that's a great insight straight away yeah can you help us understand that a little
13:44bit i'm not really sure i think i get a momentary buzz when i find something i like yeah and
13:49then i
13:49bring it home and then i see another one that i like and another and another and it's not till
13:54they're
13:55like that i can see yeah there's probably maybe one to me even in the house it looked you know
14:02everything was piled on each other and i find it crazy how you thought that was normal
14:07i think for you mark we need to reframe what is normal yeah
14:13to move back into the house that you want at least 70 of this has to go
14:20okay let's get started come with me let's go come on decluttering is one part of the process
14:28the other is back at the house where sheree and her team are getting started on the ambitious
14:34two-day renovation to transform the kitchen dining room living room and front room into functional
14:43spaces for the whole family first up sheree's tackling the kitchen's mismatched surfaces
14:51while we're protecting the timber floors which are in great condition i need to unify the kitchen's
14:56inconsistent style the pantry door had been covered with a chalkboard and the cupboard next to it had
15:02daggy pattern fabric but by ripping them off we've uncovered these gorgeous art deco style windows
15:10that really complement the home's heritage features
15:15but not everything in the kitchen has aged well with the removal of the old sink exposing a problem
15:21with the timber bench top god that is really rotten it's definitely been leaking yeah so if we can
15:29rip that out and replace it with a new one yep the biggest issue is you have to get that
15:35out without
15:36smashing those tiles because i'm using those as my color inspiration for the whole property yeah um
15:41um we will try your best try our best to make sure we don't do any damage whatsoever all right
15:47if those
15:47tiles crack i'm running oh keep that that can go good good good marg chris and holly are now sorting
16:00through the clutter that was jamming up the front room of their home this is like breaking apart
16:07keep get rid of that just be quiet and keep moving why are you telling me to be quiet you're
16:13making me
16:13upset things have already gotten off to a rocky start with marg clearly used to getting her own way
16:20okay mom said to keep that why it's for my embroidery you might do you enjoy stop it i do
16:27as soon as anyone dares question why she's keeping stuff marg's defenses come straight up sewing machine
16:34yes needed but to be honest i've never seen you when i've had stuff to fix you brought that out
16:40i've done that and used that all right donate it but it just means i'll have to buy a new
16:48one
16:50okay so having a sewing machine and sewing is a great idea yeah but the thing is you're never going
16:58to use this okay and i can tell this is the argument you guys get into all the time it
17:05no longer becomes
17:06about the sewing it becomes about who's going to win and who's going to lose yeah i agree yeah you
17:14win usually don't you yeah and the losers end up walking on eggshells getting angry and feeling
17:20resentment it's exactly what i never thought of about like that yeah same just losing and just giving up
17:27and saying well and then he'll walk off yeah we walk away and we become blind to it again but
17:31then the
17:32resentment builds look at the two of them right now yep okay all right it's not about the stuff okay
17:43is this staying or going no i can go great okay good good good let's move down here go that
17:49can go
17:49what about these they can go obviously this is can go mark is now making some progress but we've
18:00barely scratched the surface of the clutter or her family's resentment i need more convincing
18:06before i can believe she's made meaningful change there's one two three four a dozen boxes
18:14off to donation more to do let's go come with me coming up as the reno pushes forward i don't
18:23need
18:23any of this chris pushes back don't look at me like that i'm just telling you what i feel
18:32at chris and marg's house it's time to see if the old kitchen bench top will come out without
18:37damaging the splash back tiles all right bench stops loose oh it's popped out no tile broken
18:46thank goodness as buying new tiles would have never matched the originals but of course my troubles
18:52don't stop there there was an old telephone plate yep i asked the electricians to terminate them but
18:58we've now got big whopping holes so i found one white and one yellow tile in the garage would you
19:07believe it we need to try and get them out without smashing all those other tiles oh it's gonna
19:13be tricky let's give it a crack no we're not going to give it a crack
19:25meanwhile the team begin transforming the far end of the kitchen this area was a dumping ground
19:31for mag's clutter with impractical storage stacked one in front of the other so we're installing new
19:38overhead cupboards and low shelving to provide modern accessible storage while adding new bench
19:44tops we'll turn this into the ultimate art and craft zone for mug to express her creativity
19:51oh sheree yeah the tiles out oh my god good man all right we got me out with the second
19:57damaged
19:58tile also removed and the spares fitted into place new bench tops can be installed a new sink plumbed in
20:07and the cabinet doors painted but to tackle the chaos that was hiding behind them sheree has called
20:13in an expert i've put the first coat of paint on the kitchen cabinets but what i would love you
20:19to do
20:19is to fix the internals make them more space efficient okay all right i'll leave it with you
20:26clear containers to see contents and integrated storage to maximize cupboard space should make
20:33sure the family never has trouble finding things again okay great
20:42stay or go stay the table wait no we don't need to go
20:48mark and chris are now trying to reduce the excess christmas decorations that were buried in their
20:54cluttered front room that's a costume can i keep that we don't need we're not going to wear wings or
20:58anything can i keep joy don't don't need it i don't i don't need it i don't need any of
21:04this okay i'm
21:05letting them go to make space in my house no but hey but it's not your house okay it's not
21:11listen
21:12don't say no no i understand it's not your house yeah it's our house house yeah mark's desire to
21:19always be the winner in her household means letting anything go needs to be on her terms
21:24look handle we've got 5 000 of those so we've got a hundred hundreds of things to go through
21:30we don't need that i'm not i'm not going to stop i'll just explain to you i need you to
21:34listen please
21:35thank you but it seems that after years of chris holding in his feelings they're now spilling out
21:41and he's going to the other extreme pet phone birds we're not going to hang them up anywhere
21:47they're sorry don't look at me like that i'm just telling you what i feel it's your delivery again
21:51it's everything is no no no no no take a pause so far chris all of this is going yep
21:59three bins
22:00are being kept okay so progress is being made good it's a pendulum and you guys are finding new ground
22:32it's going to take time for the balance in this 30 minutes and it's going to take time for the
22:38year marriage to even out but i feel they've already gained some common ground
22:42how are you going good good well done my great job good job we started with these tables completely
22:50covered you are now keeping four bins for yourself and nine bins going off to donation
22:58good work well done yeah well done we've got lots more to do deep breath good job yeah you ready
23:04to
23:05keep going yep good job back at the house gold striped wallpaper is being put up in the dining room
23:14to complement the kitchen splashback the mismatched oversized cabinets and tiny table made for a poor
23:21dining experience so we're luxing up this space with modern cabinets that'll form a feature wall
23:27elegant lighting above new artwork and the larger table that i've ordered next sheree shifts her
23:35attention to the once dark and crowded living room starting with the tv nook this built-in unit was
23:42visually messy with the tv crammed in the middle surrounded by cabinetry and clutter
23:49so we're simplifying it by pulling out the drawers and side shelves and i've also come up with a neat
23:55solution
23:56to replace the ugly tower the family's cats climbed up to reach the flap at the top of the window
24:02that leads to their outdoor enclosure so we put a rung maybe here and then here here and they get
24:09out
24:09the window yeah paint them up it'll come up nice as the cat steps are being built the timber trims
24:19throughout
24:19the open plan living dining and kitchen are painted a crisp white along with the ornate cornices and
24:26exposed brickwork to tie everything together we're also using the same wallpaper behind the tv as we did
24:34in the dining room this will dictate what color paint i use on the walls so what i want to
24:39do is i want
24:40to get the wall paint that tonally matches with the gold stripe now i've identified that color is
24:46taubman's new buck
24:57coming up angie discovers the origin of marg's treasure this model is quite rare wow while at the sort
25:05family tempers flare you don't wear those do i've never seen you wear them
25:14there's over 800 items of clothing here that's wild yeah that's like a whole shop back at the warehouse
25:23marg's youngest daughter cassidy has arrived to help sort through her mum's mountain of clothes
25:36the sheer volume of clothes marg has amassed through a lifetime of op shop bargain hunting
25:41is staggering and while she's resisted help from her family so far i'm hoping her daughter's honest
25:48opinions will get through their mum's defenses so these to me mama they all look the same they all
25:55looks you don't need all of them please try and get rid of someone no no why don't tell her
25:59to
25:59just be quiet okay things are already a little tense but while clothes can be personal this is
26:06marg's chance to see her family as part of the solution not the problem mum you don't wear those
26:15i've never seen you wear them and there's a stain on them let me ask you a question do you
26:20feel
26:22ganged up on a little bit okay then let's talk about it because for you this is security yeah it
26:28is i think yeah yeah not for me no definitely not see and for them it's frustration and anger half
26:36of
26:36this i never see how wet at all but i have worn it and i will wear it wear it
26:40so you've got to let me
26:41say no i do wear that you say i've worn it what i actually hear is i want to keep
26:49it okay it's
26:50fair that if you want to keep it that's your decision however they just don't want you living
26:57in this anymore you always say you lose clothes and then look it's all here you know i have a
27:05big
27:05saying that if you can't find it you don't own it that's the bottom line yeah i understand so all
27:10of
27:10this discussion comes from a place of love let's go you're doing an incredibly good job what about
27:16this is this to go that's the key these can go good i wear these though okay it feels much
27:22more
27:23collaborative good mugs finally letting go of more things i don't wear it and little by little yeah that
27:29can go i can see her walls coming down too we're down to two racks one table you're keeping
27:38three and twenty three boxes wow clothes going off to donation we've got lots more to go through
27:47come with me let's go across town angie's track down hi-fi specialist philip to see if the vintage
27:56radio she found amongst mugs clutter can be revived she probably hasn't used it in about 20 years
28:04it may turn on briefly but it will be well in need of having the amplifier rebuilt so what year
28:11was
28:11this made 1937 made in australia okay what we would call a low boy so not a mantle radio but
28:18floor
28:19standing i would say this particular model is quite rare wow this would have been before television yeah
28:26everyone would have been sitting around this listening to radio serials second world war they would
28:31have all been listening to the news absolutely central to the family being informed and entertained
28:37how much was this worth back in its prime of life around 30 pounds okay and what about now in
28:46this
28:46condition unrestored 250 dollars okay the most interesting thing to do with this is to turn it into
28:54world's most beautiful bluetooth speaker oh that is perfect restoring and modernizing this gem to
29:01stream music through the speaker won't spoil the beautiful art deco exterior and while chris and
29:06marg can listen to the radio again holly and cassidy can enjoy their own music too it'll be a great
29:12surprise for the whole family all right so i'm gonna leave this with you let you know how we go
29:18thank you
29:21mom these are really different and they're different no no they go with the bowls and set
29:25that's just trust me i'm being really good holly hang on but wait let's stop for a sec at the
29:31warehouse
29:31mark has managed to reduce her huge china collection but is hesitating about the last few items that were
29:38bought when holly was little but never used you want to keep these they're cute yeah agree but how
29:46will they be used are they important to you no that's why i brought it up so you're keeping these
29:50for
29:51her or for you i was keeping them for me for her but she doesn't want them if marg is
29:56ever going to
29:57truly break her collecting habit she needs to stop holding onto items she's never used family harmony
30:03is way more important so it's time to let it go what are these these are just balls say it
30:12what are
30:13they just balls just balls take one here on the concrete oh no okay do it do it okay what
30:21are they
30:21just what are they just what are they just balls just balls they're just balls yeah smashing china
30:29may seem extreme but it's just the circuit breaker marg needs before embarking on her biggest challenge
30:35yet over 300 jugs vases and candles get the rabbit that we had all the coffee pods in good out
30:44of this
30:45do you want to choose a nice set because i like the squares you can pick which one i'll let
30:49the squares
30:49okay nice job do you want to keep yeah yeah good keep that that's about your mom for me
30:56at last these guys are working together picking things to go back into their house and it's great
31:04to see mark has stopped laughing off her family's concerns and is seeing things from their perspective
31:09which one holly which one help me i think you've got a lot of the big i like to read
31:13i like to read
31:14things yeah the title actually yeah yeah it's a group pick as well okay well done look at this
31:22this is a table of treasures there's lots of beautiful things in the world yes and i can't
31:30have them all yeah chris what are you thinking normally i don't like any of this stuff and i'm
31:35i really like what she's picked holly what are you thinking i'm so happy that that like we didn't
31:41argue at all during that it's collaborative which means they're committed to these rather than annoyed
31:48or overwhelmed every time they see these happy seeing it yes what yeah absolutely let's go come on
31:59more to do at the renovation rubbish is being cleared from the backyard
32:10while inside there's still so much left to do with everyone racing to meet the looming deadline
32:19but the most pressing job is to overhaul the front room which had been overrun with so much clutter
32:26it was unusable i want to transform this space into a sitting room chris and mark's daughters can
32:32relax in and have all to themselves so to give it a fresh feel i brought these lime green cabinets
32:38that'll really pop against the lemon wallpaper we're putting up at one end of the room and we're
32:43painting the other walls the same shade of gold as the rest of the house
32:49this room also has some old doors that are no longer being used as they connect to a bedroom
32:54that has a second entrance so we're covering them up with curtains and while a matching set are being
33:01added to the front windows i'm hitting the shops to choose new rugs to make all the rooms feel warm

33:45more relaxed and having a bit of fun if it's through the hoop you get to keep the shoes yeah
33:52even deciding the fate of their biggest possession a giant horribly ugly skeleton is now proving easier
34:00is there a desire to keep this definitely not done better help me realize it's just not me in the
34:06house i always think i like that i'll get that whereas now i might reflect and think that someone
34:11else might not like that or check if it's something i'm buying because i aspire to use it when am
34:15i going

36:17moving forward with the family it's going to bring us together
36:24the items suitable for donation are taken to a local charity shop while the things being kept go back

37:07into each other with a consistent yet eye-catching color scheme that i really hope the family will love
37:13as much as i do next the family are blown away by their transformed home
37:31chris mug cassidy and holly are about to see their renovated home i'm so excited to go inside and see
37:39our new house and our new beginnings together it's been a bit of a roller coaster and we've done a
37:45lot of learning and it's been great to reconnect with my wife i'm very nervous but very excited to
37:51see what's been done in the house mark chris holly cass remember when we first came into this space
38:00it was such a hodgepodge of furniture and let's just say there was a lot of clutter in this space
38:07on the count of three i want you to open your eyes and check out your brand
38:11new living room one two three open your eyes oh my god oh my god
38:33the once crowded dark and drab living room
38:39is now an open relaxing space brought to life with sheree's striking gold color scheme
38:55so what we did first of all is we reimagined just this whole tv look area it was so cluttered
39:02before
39:02you didn't know where to look so we simplified it you'll notice that you've got new furniture so
39:08nice we've completely painted throughout so it all feels cohesive in the space we took out all the
39:15halogens we've now got these beautiful dimmable led lights you've got these beautiful curtains that
39:22provide privacy but they let light through that's just stunning but there's one other little surprise
39:28remember that big ugly cat tower that you have got rid of that and built you a new cat run
39:35so they
39:37hop up up up up poke their head up and out out the door it's got anti-slip matting on
39:43it so they won't
39:44fall off i love that i think you're a miracle worker and what do we think of the beautiful
39:50dining room that's amazing that is crazy the dining room was a chaotic clutter of cabinets and trinkets
39:58with the family crammed around a small table at meal times
40:06it's incredible i love it oh it's so beautiful
40:17it's now been given a stylish makeover with room for everyone to enjoy meals together
40:24so i actually got you an oversized dining table it very comfortably fits six people it's amazing
40:32you had a lot of stuff before and i know you've got less stuff now but storage is still important
40:38so
40:38you can see that we've got double bookcases through there we've got the underbench storage
40:42and we've got the beautiful artwork it's just amazing it's just perfect it's beyond our vision
40:51perfect it's something that i could never even imagine thank you before this i felt like it was a
41:00nightmare now a dream has come true you know it's like amazing that's high praise yeah cass i can
41:08finally have friends over now i'm not feeling embarrassed that's lovely you want to check out
41:12the kitchen definitely let's have a look no way the kitchen's bench top was rotting and the
41:22mismatched surfaces were an eyesore while the cupboards and drawers were bursting with clutter
41:32oh my god where am i is is this our house
41:44it's now a fresh harmonious and organized space where meal prep can be stress-free
41:52color's beautiful
41:55i wanted to make the whole space feel cohesive because sometimes less is more i worked with the
42:01yellow tiles they were my color inspiration for the whole property myself the gray army and the
42:06gray care team continued the color all the way through we've installed a new bench top new sink
42:11new sink tap we've installed new lighting you'll notice that the chalkboard is gone from the doors which
42:18rebuild some beautiful glass windows behind those so you've got a brand new chalkboard over there amazing
42:25and it's not just what you see on the outside it's also
42:32consider the back of the cupboard and all of these drawers were completely chockers
42:38so we've simplified and you've got these drawer organizers are we wow and because the pantry was on
42:45the other side why not bring the things used most often in place i love it it's amazing it's amazing
42:56one of the big things here also was about your creativity take a few steps this way we've got
43:02something else to show you marg's excess op shop finds and an imposing halloween decoration
43:08had taken over the far end of the kitchen it's now been turned into a dedicated art space
43:18for marg to get creative with her painting and embroidery i love it this space we always found
43:25hard a lot of room to grow here as well it's just incredible
43:32the front room was so jam-packed with stuff you could barely step foot in the door
43:52it's so nice oh my god the wallpaper
44:02sheree's transformed it into a calming retreat to suit holly and cassidy
44:06while still respecting the home's art deco heritage it's beautiful wow will you hang out here not in
44:14your room yeah oh my lord i love it love it so i wanted to make it fun so i
44:24first of all and saw this
44:25beautiful wallpaper got the beautiful window furnishings here the old doorway what that was there
44:32actually created a window curtain wall so at any time you can just pull that across if you ever
44:37want to change this room in the future this is so nice oh wow and mug huh look what's back
44:46wow my baby after discovering the vintage radio buried under clutter angie had the aging amplifier
44:53rebuilt and added a modern twist so marg's whole family can enjoy it
44:58look at what it can do now you can just whip out your phone and
45:11really cool wow so now you can connect your phone through the bluetooth push a button
45:17comes through you can still listen to your am though too so don't you worry about that
45:21it gets a second chance at life in this new space and the girls can have a little party if
45:27you want
45:27to it's awesome it's incredible i can't believe it and i can't stop smiling it feels like a dream come
45:36true
45:37just opening the eyes and i thought i'm in the wrong place but it's just amazing it feels like a
45:43home now
45:45i didn't know i could have a house that looked this beautiful i don't need stuff i just need my
45:51family
45:56marg's clutter blindness strained her marriage and caused deep resentment in the household but her
46:02willingness to change and embrace other views has not only helped create a beautiful relaxing home for
46:09the whole family it's brought them closer together than ever before
