00:16memories of Dr. Ling's decades-long contributions to the party and the nation.
00:21They recalled his leadership during pivotal moments in Malaysia's political landscape,
00:26as well as his strong emphasis on education and infrastructure development.
00:32Also present was MCA President, Datuk Seri Dr. Wee Ka Siong, who led a delegation of the
00:38party's Central Committee to pay their final respects.
00:47Other dignitaries included Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Communications Minister
00:53Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, Melaka Yang Di-Pertuan Negeri Tun Muhammad Ali Rustam, and Datuk Seri
00:59Mukheriz Mahathir.
01:01Dr. Ling, who passed away on April 4th, led MCA for 17 years and remains Malaysia's longest-serving

01:10Earlier, Dr. Wee said the party would accord Dr. Ling its highest honour by draping the MCA
01:17flag over his casket on Tuesday.
01:20The wake is open to the public from 12pm to 9pm on April 6th and 7th at the Xiao'an
01:26Centre.
01:28The funeral service will be held at the same venue on April 8th, before the cortege departs
01:34at 11am for cremation at the Xiao'an Crematorium in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
