00:22:05all right look at everybody together whoo first things first aubrey let's get rid of that
00:22:12tribal immunity is no more all right so when we were putting together this season we had one goal
00:22:22we wanted to do our best to make it memorable and in order for something to be memorable it's
00:22:29got to be rare that's what makes it special so we did a couple things we've never done before 24
00:22:33players most ever we also turned the entire show over to the fans they voted for the type of game
00:22:39they wanted you to play and when it came to twist 63 percent said i love twist bring them on
00:22:48so today
00:22:50a twist for the fans a twist so memorable so rare it will cause the entire survivor world to pause
00:23:01and take notice because it's never happened before oh my gosh we thought this twist could use a
00:23:07metaphor something to give it a little shape a little form so we started by asking ourselves
00:23:11well what is it about the survivor experience that makes it unique in the first place and that is
00:23:15while playing this game you live in nature you deal with it every day the rain the ocean the blazing
00:23:21sun
00:23:22and then it dawned on us nature itself offers a perfect metaphor for what's going to happen today
00:23:27because every so often in nature an event happens it is so memorable and so rare the entire world
00:23:34pauses to take notice and that is a total lunar eclipse that is when the earth's shadow covers
00:23:42the moon and turns it a deep foreboding red and we call it a blood moon ancient civilizations feared a
00:23:53blood moon they saw it as a warning sign of upheaval even impending doom
00:24:01and that's how you should see it as well because tonight survivor will have its own version
00:24:07of a blood moon and just like in nature it will cast a shadow over the entire survivor game
00:24:15and it will never be the same again because tonight not one not two but three players will have their
00:24:27torches snuffed wow the most ever in a single night one moment so memorable and rare it will forever
00:24:35change the game it's crazy wow you wanted big we're doing our best let me explain how it's gonna work
00:24:47for today's challenge you're gonna use your hands and arms to brace against two walls while your feet
00:24:52balance on very narrow footholds regular intervals we will move farther down to a more narrow foothold
00:24:58making it more difficult if you drop you're out
00:25:04and just to make it a little more dangerous we're gonna randomly divide you into three groups of
00:25:11five the person who lasts the longest with each group earns individual immunity this is the immunity
00:25:19necklace for survivor 50. wow fans voted on this as well 84 percent wanted this and it's a beauty
00:25:27tonight three players will look very good wow with this around their neck because all three groups are
00:25:35going to tribal council to vote out the eighth ninth and tenth players from this game

00:25:47and that is you're playing for reward you want to know what you're playing for
