Two teenagers from New South Wales' New England region have been charged with terrorism offences following a joint investigation by the state's police force and the Australian Federal Police.

00:02In December last year, police received a tip-off about a teenage boy in Moree who was allegedly accessing violent
00:09extremist material online.
00:12After an extensive investigation, police then executed three search warrants on homes in Moree over the last week.
00:21Because of those search warrants, they then seized a mobile phone, a ballistic-style vest, literature allegedly containing extremist material
00:31inside of it, handwritten notes and notebooks.
00:35Now, a 15-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with using a carriage service to transmit violent extremist
00:43material and knowingly collecting or making a document connected with terrorism.
00:49Another boy, a 16-year-old, also was arrested and he's been charged with using a carriage service to possess
00:56violent extremist material.
00:59Both boys are facing Parramatta Children's Court today.
