00:08Thank you very much.
00:10My fellow Americans, good evening.
00:13Let me begin by congratulating the team at NASA
00:17and our brave astronauts on the successful launch
00:21of Artemis II.
00:22It was quite something.
00:24It will be traveling further than any manned
00:26rocket has ever flown and will very
00:29substantially pass the moon, go around it, and
00:32come back home from a distance that has never
00:36been done before.
00:37It's amazing.
00:39They are on the way, and God bless them.
00:42These are brave people.
00:44We want to God bless those four
00:47unbelievable astronauts.
00:49As we speak this evening, it's been just one month
00:52since the United States military began
00:55Operation Epic Fury, targeting the world's
01:00number one state sponsor of terror, Iran.
01:04In these past four weeks, our armed forces have
01:07delivered swift, decisive, overwhelming victories on
01:11the battlefield.
01:13Victories like few people have ever seen before.
01:16Tonight, Iran's Navy is gone.
01:20Their air force is in ruins.
01:22Their leaders, most of them terrorist regime they
01:28led, are now dead.
01:30Their command and control of the Islamic Revolutionary
01:35Guard Corps is being decimated as we speak.
01:39Their ability to launch missiles and drones is
01:42dramatically curtailed, and their weapons, factories,
01:46and rocket launchers are being blown to pieces.
01:49Very few of them left.
01:51Never in the history of warfare has an enemy
01:54suffered such clear and devastating large-scale
01:57losses in a matter of weeks.
01:59Our enemies are losing in America, as it has been
02:04for five years under my presidency, is winning, and
02:07now winning bigger than ever before.
02:11Before discussing this current situation, I also
02:15want to thank our troops for the massive job they
02:18did in taking the country of Venezuela in a matter
02:21of minutes.
02:22That it was quick, lethal, violent, and respected
02:25by everyone all over the world.
02:28After rebuilding our military during my first
02:31term, we have by far the strongest military anywhere
02:35in the world.
02:35And now we're working along with Venezuela and our, in
02:40a true sense, joint venture partners.
02:42We're getting along incredibly well in the
02:45production and sale of massive amounts of oil and
02:47gas, the second largest reserves on Earth after the
02:52United States of America.
02:54We're now totally independent of the Middle East.
02:59And yet, we are there to help.
03:01We don't have to be there.
03:03We don't need their oil.
03:04We don't need anything they have.
03:06But we're there to help our allies.
03:08Tonight, I want to provide an update on the
03:11tremendous progress our warriors have made in Iran and
03:15discuss why Operation Epic Fury is necessary for the
03:18safety of America and the security of the free world.
03:23From the very first day I announced my campaign for
03:27President in 2015, I have vowed that I would never
03:31allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon.
03:35This fanatical regime has been chanting, death to
03:39America, death to Israel, for 47 years.
03:43Their proxies were behind the murder of 241 Americans
03:48in the Marine barracks bombing in Beirut, the
03:52slaughter of hundreds of our service members with
03:54roadside bombs.
03:56They were involved in the attack on the USS Cole, and
04:01they carried out the countless other heinous acts,
04:04including the blood, just horrible, bloody atrocities of
04:10October 7th in Israel.
04:11It's something that most people have never seen
04:14anything like it.
04:16This murderous regime also recently killed 45,000 of
04:20their own people who were protesting in Iran.
04:2345,000 dead.
04:26For these terrorists to have nuclear weapons would be an
04:29intolerable threat.
04:31The most violent and thuggish regime on Earth would be
04:35free to carry out their campaigns of terror, coercion,
04:38conquest, and mass murder from behind a nuclear shield.
04:43I will never let that happen, and neither should any of our
04:48past presidents.
04:49This situation has been going on for 47 years and should
04:55have been handled long before I arrived in office.
04:58I did many things during my two terms in office to stop the
05:03quest for nuclear weapons by Iran first, and perhaps most
05:07importantly, I killed General Qasem Soleimani in my first term.
05:14He was an evil genius, a brilliant person, a horrible human
05:19being, however, the father of the roadside bomb.
05:22And he lived just horrible what he did.
05:26Iran would have been perhaps in far better, stronger position.
05:31Had he lived, we would have had probably a different
05:34conversation tonight, but you know what?
05:36We'd still be winning and winning big.
05:38And then very importantly, I terminated Barack Hussein
05:42Obama's Iran nuclear deal, a disaster.
05:45Obama gave them $1.7 billion in cash, green, green cash.
05:51Took it out of banks from Virginia, D.C., and Maryland.
05:56All the cash they had, he flew it by airplanes in an attempt
06:00to buy their respect and loyalty, but it didn't work.
06:03They laughed at our president and went on with their mission
06:07to have a nuclear bomb.
06:08His Iran deal would have led to a colossal arsenal of massive
06:13nuclear weapons for Iran, and they would have had them years
06:17ago, and they would have used them.
06:19Would have been a different world.
06:21There would have been no Middle East and no Israel right now,
06:24in my opinion, the opinion of a lot of great experts.
06:27Had I not terminated that terrible deal, I was so honored to do it.
06:32I was so proud to do it.
06:33It was so bad right from the beginning.
06:35Essentially, I did what no other president was willing to do.
06:39They made mistakes, and I am correcting them.
06:43My first preference was always the path of diplomacy,
06:47yet the regime continued their relentless quest for nuclear
06:51weapons and rejected every attempt at an agreement.
06:54For this reason, in June, I ordered a strike on Iran's key nuclear
06:59facilities, an Operation Midnight Hammer.
07:03Nobody's ever seen anything like it.
07:05Those beautiful B-2 bombers performed magnificently.
07:10We totally obliterated those nuclear sites.
07:13The regime then sought to rebuild their nuclear program at a totally
07:18different location, making clear they had no intention of abandoning
07:22their pursuit of nuclear weapons.
07:25They were also rapidly building a vast stockpile of
07:29conventional ballistic missiles, and would soon have had missiles
07:33that could reach the American homeland, Europe, and virtually any
07:37other place on Earth.
07:39Iran's strategy was so obvious.
07:42They wanted to produce as many missiles as possible, and they did,
07:47with the longest range possible.
07:49And they had some weapons that nobody believed they had.
07:52We just learned that.
07:53We took them out.
07:54We took them all out so that no one would really dare stop them.
07:58And they raced for a nuclear bomb, a nuclear weapon, a nuclear weapon
08:03like nobody's ever seen before.
08:04They were right at the doorstep.
08:07For years, everyone has said that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons.
08:12But in the end, those are just words if you're not willing to take action
08:17when the time comes.
08:19As I stated in my announcement of Operation Epic Fury, our objectives
08:25are very simple and clear.
08:27We are systematically dismantling the regime's ability to threaten
08:31Latin America or project power outside of their borders.
08:35That means eliminating Iran's navy, which is now absolutely destroyed, hurting
08:42their air force and their missile program at levels never seen before, and
08:47annihilating their defense industrial base.
08:50We've done all of it.
08:51Their navy is gone.
08:52Their air force is gone.
08:53Their missiles are just about used up or beaten.
08:57Taking together these actions will cripple Iran military, crush their ability to support
09:03terrorist proxies, and deny them the ability to build a nuclear bomb.
09:08Our armed forces have been extraordinary.
09:11There's never been anything like it militarily.
09:14Everyone is talking about it, and tonight I'm pleased to say that these core strategic objectives
09:21are nearing completion.
09:23As we celebrate this progress, we think especially of the 13 American warriors who have laid down
09:30their lives in this fight to prevent our children from ever having to face a nuclear Iran.
09:37And twice this past month, I have traveled to Dover Air Force Base, and it's been something.
09:44I wanted to be with those heroes as the return to American soil, and I was with them and their
09:50families, their parents, their wives, their husbands.
09:53We salute them, and now we must honor them by completing the mission for which they gave their
10:00lives, and every single one of the people, their loved ones said, please, sir, please finish
10:06the job.
10:07Every one of them.
10:09And we are going to finish the job, and we're going to finish it very fast.
10:12We're getting very close.
10:13I want to thank our allies in the Middle East, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait,
10:22and Bahrain.
10:23They've been great, and we will not let them get hurt or fail in any way, shape, or form.
10:31Many Americans have been concerned to see the recent rise in gasoline prices here at home.
10:37This short-term increase has been entirely the result of the Iranian regime launching
10:42deranged terror attacks against commercial oil tankers in neighboring countries that have
10:48nothing to do with the conflict.
10:49This is yet more proof that Iran can never be trusted with nuclear weapons.
10:55They will use them, and they will use them quickly.
10:58It would lead to decades of extortion, economic pain, and instability worse than we can ever
11:05imagine.
11:06The United States has never been better prepared economically to confront this threat.
11:11You all know that.
11:12We built the strongest economy in history.
11:15We're going through it right now, the strongest in history.
11:19In one year, we've taken a dead and crippled country.
11:23I hate to say that, but we were a dead and crippled country after the last administration and made
11:31it the hottest country anywhere in the world by far with no inflation, record-setting investments
11:38coming into the United States, over 18 trillion dollars, and the highest stock market ever,
11:44with 53 all-time record highs in just one year.
11:48It all positioned us to get rid of a cancer that has long simmered.
11:53It's known as the nuclear Iran, and they didn't know what was coming.
11:59They've never imagined it.
12:01Remember, because of our Drill Baby Drill program, America has plenty of gas.
12:06We have so much gas.
12:07Under my leadership, we are number one producer of oil and gas on the planet,
12:12without even discussing the millions of barrels that we're getting from Venezuela.
12:18Because of the Trump administration's policies, we produced more oil and gas than Saudi Arabia
12:24and Russia combined.
12:25Think of that.
12:26Saudi Arabia and Russia combined.
12:28And that number will soon be substantially higher than that.
12:33There's no country like us anywhere in the world, and we're in great shape for the future.
12:39The United States imports almost no oil through the Hormuz Strait and won't be taking any in the future.
12:47We don't need it.
12:47We haven't needed it, and we don't need it.
12:51We've beaten and completely decimated Iran.
12:55They are decimated, both militarily and economically and every other way.
13:00And the countries of the world that do receive oil through the Hormuz Strait must take care of
13:06that passage.
13:07They must cherish it.
13:09They must grab it and cherish it.
13:11They can do it easily.
13:13We will be helpful, but they should take the lead
13:16in protecting the oil that they so desperately depend on.
13:20So to those countries that can't get fuel, many of which refuse to get involved in the
13:26decapitation of Iran, we had to do it ourselves.
13:29I have a suggestion.
13:31Number one, buy oil from the United States of America.
13:34We have plenty.
13:35We have so much.
13:36And number two, build up some delayed courage.
13:39Should have done it before.
13:40Should have done it with us, as we asked.
13:42Go to the Strait and just take it.
13:45Protect it.
13:46Use it for yourselves.
13:48Iran has been essentially decimated.
13:51The hard part is done, so it should be easy.
13:54And in any event, when this conflict is over, the Strait will open up naturally.
14:00It'll just open up naturally.
14:01They're going to want to be able to sell oil because
14:04that's all they have to try and rebuild.
14:06It will resume the flowing and the gas prices will rapidly come back down.
14:12Stock prices will rapidly go back up.
14:15They haven't come down very much, frankly.
14:17They came down a little bit, but they've had some very good days over the last couple of days.
14:21We've done actually much better than I thought.
14:24But we had to take that little journey to Iran to get rid of this horrible threat.
14:29With our historic tax cuts, where people are just now
14:33talking about receiving larger refunds than they ever thought possible.
14:38They are getting so much more money than they thought.
14:40That's from the great, big, beautiful bill.
14:42Our economy is strong and improving by the day.
14:45And it will soon be roaring back like never before.
14:49It will top the levels that it was a month ago.
14:52I've made clear from the beginning of Operation Epic Fury that we will
14:56continue until our objectives are fully achieved.
14:59Thanks to the progress we've made, I can say tonight that we are on track
15:04to complete all of America's military objectives shortly, very shortly.
15:09We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks.
15:14We're going to bring them back to the stone ages where they belong.
15:18In the meantime, discussions are ongoing.
15:22Regime change was not our goal.
15:24We never said regime change.
15:26But regime change has occurred because of all of their original leaders' death.
15:33They're all dead.
15:34The new group is less radical and much more reasonable.
15:39Yet, if during this period of time no deal is made, we have our eyes on key targets.
15:44If there is no deal, we are going to hit each and every one of their
15:48electric generating plants very hard and probably simultaneously.
15:53We have not hit their oil, even though that's the easiest target of all,
15:58because it would not give them even a small chance of survival or rebuilding.
16:04But we could hit it and it would be gone.
16:07And there's not a thing they could do about it.
16:09They have no anti-aircraft equipment.
16:12Their radar is 100 percent annihilated.
16:16We are unstoppable as a military force.
16:19The nuclear sites that we obliterated with the B-2 bombers have been hit so hard
16:25that it would take months to get near the nuclear dust.
16:29And we have it under intense satellite surveillance and control.
16:33If we see them make a move, even a move for it, we'll hit them with missiles very hard again.
16:41We have all the cards.
16:43They have none.
16:43It's very important that we keep this conflict in perspective.
16:48American involvement in World War I lasted one year, seven months, and five days.
16:56World War II lasted for three years, eight months, and 25 days.
17:01The Korean War lasted for three years, one month, and two days.
17:06The Vietnam War lasted for 19 years, five months, and 29 days.
17:12Iraq went on for eight years, eight months, and 28 days.
17:17We are in this military operation, so powerful, so brilliant,
17:22against one of the most powerful countries for 32 days.
17:26And the country has been eviscerated and essentially is really no longer a threat.
17:34They were the bully of the Middle East, but they're the bully no longer.
17:38This is a true investment in your children and your grandchildren's future.
17:43The whole world is watching, and they can't leave the power, strength, and brilliance.
17:49They just can't believe what they're seeing.
17:51They leave it to your imagination, but they can't believe what they're seeing,
17:56the brilliance of the United States military.
17:59Tonight, every American can look forward to a day when we are finally free from the
18:04wickedness of Iranian aggression and the specter of nuclear blackmail.
18:09Because of the actions we have taken, we are on the cusp of ending Iran's sinister threat to
18:15America and the world, and I'll tell you, the world is watching.
18:19And when we do, when it's all over, the United States will be safer, stronger,
18:26more prosperous, and greater than it has ever been before.
18:29May God bless the men and women of the United States Armed Forces,
18:34and may God bless the United States of America.
18:38Thank you very much, and good night.
