00:40to draw a long-term conclusion i know what you're going to say but my prediction that the detroit
00:47tigers have best in the league bullpen potential after five games holy f does that look terrible
00:56right now after five games because first of all two of the guys i've singled out as being real gems
01:05potentially found here by the tigers have been dreadful including drew anderson again last night
01:11but then will vest face it in a in a game that the tigers were cruising and that casey mize

01:19mowed down the arizona diamondbacks and they're up five one and drew anderson doesn't get anybody out
01:27will vest gets out two guys of the five he faced and then kenley jansen comes on in a four

01:34save situation and gives up a go-ahead three-run homer to a guy making his major league debut
01:40his second homer of the game and that bullpen squarely falls under the uh gets a the largest
01:49piece of the pie blame pie of blame today and that prediction is off to a terrible guys like dan

02:32now they're two and four to start the season two and three to start the season but one and three

02:36their last four games the 5-2 win they scored four of their five runs in one inning the next

02:42lost three to nothing they didn't score the next game they lost nine to six to the diamondbacks that
02:47got all six in the same inning last night they lose seven to five they got all five in the

02:53they have not done much other than like three innings this the first game they scored three different

03:05in the 24 other innings they've sent three people to the plate 20 times that's crazy now does it really
03:14matter if you're scoring five six runs and they have it maybe not but it's still kind of a weird

04:19yeah now casey mize was fantastic he was great casey mize nine strikeouts he got out of the bases
04:26loaded jam in the second he did give up the solo bomb he had nine strikeouts as you mentioned remember
04:31we talked about jv only generating six swings and misses in his 80 pitches casey mize had 15 of them
04:38for comparison's sake scuba had 11 in the starter or in the opener rather and colt keith in the leadoff
04:45spot like that uh jake rogers big two-run double that one inning rogers uh mcgonigal had an infield
04:52hit that drove in a run riley green had a two-run double carrie carpenter got a base hit in

04:57moved moving him down in the order uh you know there was some there was some good stuff there
05:01there's some good things and parker meadows is okay parker meadows you can stay up in the big club
05:06for a little bit yeah i mean i'm not going to call parker meadows a man who's got a lot

05:43wasn't his first outing be as good as casey mize are you calling it a must win from my psyche

06:13very little production right now out of green torkelson carpenter and i that's probable to
06:21turn around i mean and there are times in guys career where they fall apart but those three aren't
06:28going to all fall apart at the same time uh i think cole keith is tracking to be better mcgonigal

06:34obviously very very good for them i'm not i'm not that worried about it you know but
06:43you can't claim victory laps with mcgonigal and then also say it's no big deal when guys get off
06:48to a slow start so we're not claiming a victory lap with mcgonigal because it is short-term results but
06:54it's it's awfully encouraging and there is a guy that even many times when he gets out he does make
06:59hard contact i mean he said home runs pulled back he hit a ball 100 plus off the bat smoked

07:05drive out the right field a couple of nights ago that was resulted in an out but um yeah there's
07:11there's these weird crooked number innings only apparently which is usually something you you build
