00:14building we'll have then have a community space coming out from it where we'll have barbecues
00:19and things like that but yeah you can see there the steel work arrived and was bolted in place
00:25lifted by a huge crane the stairway that you might be able to make out is still they came pre
00:31-formed
00:31so they were just hoisted up and put in place and from almost nothing where all the foundations
00:38were being done then within about a week 10 days we went from nothing on the ground to what you
00:43can
00:43see behind me it's just extraordinary the project is called Truro Community Hub but actually the real
00:49title will be Kemeneth and Kemeneth is Cornish for community and it's a reminder to us all those
00:56who are stakeholders in the project that community is central to everything that we are about
01:02amongst the things that we see here in Truro City Centre and here indeed as part of Truro Methodist
01:07Church are mental health challenges there's a lot going on in the world that disturbs and distresses
01:13people and some of the manifestations of our mental health struggles are serious some are are more low
01:19key but they're all still very significant about the the the well-being of people's lives we also see
01:26isolation there is loneliness well the original idea of trying to develop some sort of community hub
01:33was back in 2017 it was a long long time ago and to be honest we had as a local
01:40church
01:40almost given up on the on the possibility of funding the project that we'd imagined
01:46that but the town deal funding and then the match support that we've got from other sources
01:51when put alongside our own church commitments and the commitments of other charity foundations have
01:57made it possible to deliver the project absolutely key the town deal
