00:11We've talked about his improvement too.
00:13You just mentioned Bryce Hopkins, and I want to talk to him about him too
00:16because he's had some big moments during this 13-game winning streak.
00:19How important would you say is his presence been in giving this team
00:24just another dimension in how they can look both offensively and defensively?
00:28How big has he been?
00:30Yeah, I mean, he's, I mean, look, you take out the two Providence games,
00:35which, you know, obviously struggled, and we all know there's a lot of other stuff going on there.
00:40Right.
00:42But you take out those two Providence games, like he's been really good now for a while.
00:48This past week he was awesome.
00:51I mean, his second half in a lot of these games have been off the charts.
00:54The game at Xavier when they were down big, his second half was great.
00:57The Villanova game, he completely dominated the second half of that game,
01:01completely dominated the second half from Marquette.
01:03Like, he's been really good.
01:04He's not shooting great from three.
01:06It's the only, really not, but, like, his rebounding has gone way up.
01:11He's defending more.
01:12And he's really, like, attacking, getting to the rim.
01:15And, you know, I know we're going to hit on this more, but, like, he's one of the keys for
01:19Wednesday.
01:20I don't think there's any question about it.
01:23You know, I don't, I don't think UConn could guard, like, I don't think Alex Caravan could guard Bryce Hopkins.
01:29Like, I don't think UConn has an answer for him.
01:32You know, like, they're obviously going to look, they're going to play off Mitchell.
01:36They're not, they're going to ask, make him shoot.
01:38They're probably going to double Zuby a lot.
01:40And I think it's going to be up to guys to make shots and it's going to be up to
01:42Hopkins.
01:43Like, UConn's going to clearly make adjustments.
01:45I think you're going to see more big lineups, which is Jaden Ross maybe at the three, Jalen Stewart at
01:50the three.
01:50I think you're going to see less three-guard lines from UConn because it, because how much of an advantage
01:55it gives St. John's on the interior.
01:57So I think it's, look, it's going to be Hopkins is going to be, it's going to be kind of
02:01on Hopkins to have a big game.
02:03I, you know, I kind of felt like that in the first game and he wasn't great in that first
02:06one, but he did make some big plays in the second half and, and had a good second half.
02:10But I think it's going to be, you know, it's going to be on guys like him and Sellers and
02:13San and Darling to make UConn pay.
02:15UConn's going to dare St. John's to shoot threes.
02:17There's no doubt.
