Transcript
00:00On Wednesday in the United States, NASA's Artemis II mission is expected to lift up from Kennedy Space Center in
00:05February at 6.24 p.m. local time, carrying astronauts on a journey around the moon.
00:10Artemis II is the first crewed mission of the Artemis program and the first journey of astronauts beyond low-Earth
00:15orbit since Apollo 17 in 1972.
00:18This launch attempt, the mission's first, comes after delays in February and March caused by technical issues with the rocket,
00:24including hydrogen leaks and a problem with the helium flow.
00:27The crew, which includes NASA's Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen,
00:34could break the distance record set by the Apollo program, traveling farther from Earth than any human ever has.
