00:04tonight on the curse of oak island here we go wait wait hey guess what wow oh wow brilliant oh
00:16look at that we're starting to get this material this is slowing me away right now because it's
00:20nothing i've ever seen before this is a covered well right yeah it is oh this has got potential
00:25night oh look at that it's pre-modern all the way back to medieval no way
00:34there is an island in the north atlantic where people have been looking for an incredible
00:41treasure for more than 200 years so far they have found a stone slab with strange symbols carved into
00:50it man-made workings that date to medieval times and a lead cross whose origin may be connected to the
00:59knight's templar to date six men have died trying to solve the mystery and according to legend
01:08one more will have to die before the treasure can be found
01:27hey marnie marnie morning gents as their quest to solve the oak island mystery continues you know the
01:35gist of today you know we're done with top lock and find one and uh you know we found some
01:41interesting
01:41things but we didn't find the one thing no rick marty and members of the team meet to plan their
01:49next
01:49large-scale dig in the money pit area we're still looking for where the hell the massive collapse of
01:55the money pit went and i was hoping we'd find it here i really was i mean where the hell
01:59did it go
02:00it's frustrating yep in recent weeks the teams from sb canada and rock equipment have excavated two
02:11seven foot diameter steel shafts where high traces of silver were detected more than 200 feet deep
02:18in the solution channel karma one and top pocket find and while 17th and 18th century artifacts
02:28were recovered in both which could be related to the money pits collapse into the solution channel
02:35no valuables were found well let's talk about where we need to go because time is pressing
02:41right the years have been predicated upon getting down into the solution channel so you know we're
02:47limited in terms of where we put caissons without encompassing previous work yep we run the risk of
02:56collapse yeah because we're going through backfill material it's going to stymie your caisson from
03:02going to the bottom absolutely
03:08stop it's caving
03:12there's material flopping in during the recent dig of the tpf shaft the surrounding earth began to collapse
03:21this was caused by backfill related to previous digs that the team has conducted nearby this has left
03:29the area unstable and would require several days or more of repair and regrading with tons of gravel
03:36but with only a few weeks left before the harsh north atlantic winter will force the team to halt their
03:43search
03:43operations their time for a breakthrough discovery is running out steve why don't you put the map up and
03:50let's let's get this figured out sure what if we changed our minds and went up to the peacock right
03:58now
03:59the peacock has never been explained and the reason it could be there is because of a very deep unknown
04:05metal maybe an offset chamber so i'm keenly interested in seeing that hole dug yeah over there they can
04:14make good progress it's virgin ground subsidence is probably not going to be so much of an issue like
04:18we've seen they're not going down through backfill they're going to make good time on it okay that makes
04:23sense located over 40 feet northeast of the tpf shaft the so-called peacock is an area where the team
04:32has also
04:33detected precious metals during past underground water tests whoa whoa whoa whoa and this year during
04:42their core drilling operation they discovered a mysterious 10-foot void above the solution channel
04:48at a depth of 150 feet we've got an opening a void where an underwater camera recorded images of possible
04:57man-made artifacts including metallic objects this has led the team to believe that they may have
05:06discovered an offset treasure chamber that was once connected to the original money pit i vote to go to
05:13the peacock okay there is evidence of man-made workings in the peacock area and what if the reason this
05:23area of very loose material is really where some of the treasure was deposited in an offset chamber
05:30this is as good a choice as any okay well alex is going to put that on the peacock so
05:37let's be
05:38hopeful let's be upbeat let's get out there and do some work sounds good let's go thanks all right see
05:44as rick marty and their team conclude the meeting in the war room
05:50on lot eight located on the western side of the island hey laird hey fiona what's new here
05:58well i mean it looks to be like a lot's new dr ian spooner joins laird and fiona at the
06:06cradle-like
06:06stone feature it's starting to change where we've got the smaller cobble stones up here and then the
06:12larger ones are presented themselves down here we're starting to get this mortar-like material and we're
06:17getting it in different spots absolutely it can after recently exposing this formation of hand-placed
06:25rocks which were covered by a 40 000 pound boulder fiona discovered blue clay and a mortar-like cement
06:32that was used to find the stones together it has made the team speculate that this was done to cover
06:39something buried deeper below the deeper i'm going it's really hard to dig through now while fiona and
06:46layered slowly break up the mortar and remove the rocks dr spooner is collecting samples for ongoing
06:53lab testing in the hopes that he can determine when the feature was constructed it's under under every
07:00single rock and it's literally layered this is kind of blowing me away right now because it's nothing i've
07:06ever seen before you know that kind of appearance almost wall exactly of rock yeah i'd be perplexed if
07:13we'd if we just uncovered this archaeologically without a 40 000 pound boulder on top of it yeah
07:21there's something very strange going on underneath the lot eight boulder metal readings according to dr
07:29spooner who knows what he's talking about are not natural a couple of them have silver in them if in
07:36fact there's a shaft directly under this cradle it could lead to actual treasure on the table hey the
07:43whole thing is wildly interesting and i can't wait to get to the bottom of it what i'd like to
07:48do is get
07:49some of that organic and then get back to my lab doesn't need to be a lot that's good that's
07:54enough oh yeah
07:54that's more enough i'll take this back to lab i'll see what i see in this and get those results
08:00to you
08:01right away well thank you all right thank you meanwhile billy you'll see peter and i put a stake
08:10in here so you could see it yep rick and other members of the team begin a new dig in
08:15the southwest
08:16corner of the swamp we've got orange flagging a couple hundred feet north of us we turn straight
08:21west and we go all the way to the road this is the new permanent area of the swamp it's
08:26an extension of
08:27the southwest corner of the swamp and i'm excited to see where the sand road might go earlier this
08:32year the team uncovered two sections of a sand covered cobblestone road in this area that were
08:40lined by several eight-sided survey stakes which according to new research could be nearly 800 years
08:48old so i'm looking for corroborative evidence that this is indeed a path or a road while earlier
08:56permitting issues restricted the team's ability to search for more of the road and determine just
09:02where it may lead they have now obtained government approval to continue the investigation when you
09:08find something give me a call and i'll come back to survey it okay we'd like to know why is
09:14it there
09:14and who did it why is it aligned with the survey stakes might it lead to a treasure or a
09:21vault these
09:22questions hopefully will be answered keep an eye out for stakes yeah
09:41hold up
09:42hold up bill look at that wow
09:59there's your sand billy right here yeah in the southwest corner of the swamp the oak island team
10:05has discovered more evidence of a sand covered stone road makes that sand really a way back right yeah
10:13we have the ability to go that way right i'd like to know the width of it then sand certainly
10:19does seem to be turning that way right here this is well defined yeah there's no question that
10:27what billy called the sand road is right in front of us we're standing on it uh that's exciting
10:33and interesting at the same time as we continue this process it may go to another area that we are
10:39currently completely unaware of we think people were here at different periods of times for a
10:44significant amount of time right yep and we're finding mounting evidence that they did yeah right here
10:52okay doke all right let's see what we get
11:15i'm gonna run back to the research center hopefully there's artifacts in here but stakes are just as
11:20important so just keep an eye open that's all we'll let you know if you find anything all right see
11:25you billy
11:25see ya
11:32nothing yet
11:41hey peter there might be a top of the stake there
11:44right here right here right here yeah oh yeah might be
11:51big if it is suspiciously straight from here it looks cut yeah cut but not pointed
12:00stick cade in there so it's hard to know yeah but it was pretty deep yeah
12:07it's impossible that the team has found the remains of another potentially ancient survey stake along
12:13the believed sand road we'll put it to the side remember where it was for steve
12:19keep on finding more if there's something here we'll find it yep
12:26the following morning
12:29as the teams from sb canada and rock equipment make final preparations to begin excavating peacock one in
12:37the money pit area all right gary it's time this is prime hunting down here right lots of good finds
12:45we
12:45are between the structure on lot five and the ocean marty and gary arrive on lot five this here isn't
12:53covered
12:54well right yeah it is we don't know how old it is so this would have been a busy area
12:58in between these
12:59features so it stands to reason we should be able to find some artifacts here okay one week ago italian
13:09archaeoastronomy professor adriano gaspani analyzed the location of the round feature on lot five
13:16a feature that the lot's previous owner the late robert young believed was no older than the 20th
13:22century but incredibly based on its alignment with certain stars in the night sky professor gaspani
13:30believes that the feature was originally constructed as far back as the early 13th century let's start here
13:38let's go around the well okay now gary and marty want to search a stone well that sits a few
13:45yards
13:46away from the rounded feature for clues that could help validate professor gaspani's theory
13:53especially since they have previously found a bronze button and a spike in this area that had been
13:59scientifically dated to the 13th century well you get that and i get that and we flip this thing up
14:05you can work this from the side yeah when we bought lot five the people who looked uh into robert
14:13young's
14:14data told me that this thing that was covered up in plywood oh look at that was that this was
14:20just a
14:21modern well but it's weird i don't know why anyone would dig a water well so close to the ocean
14:29if you don't mind if you don't mind i'd like to get you down in there i'll scamper down
14:34you had the detect at the bottom of the world it's an unswept area that has not been searched yet
14:41so there could be artifacts under there let's get to the bottom of this
14:49banks
14:56around the edges nothing in that part and you the shovel and then i'm going to crawl down in there
15:03okay
15:07thanks yeah it's easy to get down here
15:15this thing's a little deeper than i thought yeah that's not even a good bottom right there
15:23i mean this floor is giving away as we stand here yeah yeah uh we're nowhere near the bottom of
15:29this
15:29scary no it keeps on going i'm standing on a bunch of leaves that's all you want to look again
15:35yeah
15:35let me get right on out of here well i'm surprised i thought there'd be more in the walls thanks
15:48that was crazy wasn't it thanks okay but we got to talk about this yeah just because we're not
15:55detecting any metals down there don't mean we're not at the bottom yeah exactly and there could be
16:01pottery glass all kinds of stuff well this is like metal detecting on a trampoline the fact that there
16:09are several feet of leaves below our feet we need to get the archaeologists and do some more exploring
16:16in this well this looks promising to me yeah i'm sure when all these leaves are taken out there's a
16:24good
16:24chance of finding an artifact in the bottom of the well that's a good signal
16:34sounds like there's a chance it could be non-ferrous and deep yeah stupid
16:42this rock has to go gary before yeah yeah i think so
16:48you do the hard work and i'll take the glory i will oh this has got potential mate really right
17:06there
17:12what have you got mate i could see it at the side
17:19ah i see something moving there you do the honors mate you dug it out you see that's the tip
17:25of it
17:26just there i can pick it up with my hand yep you did all the hard work mate see what
17:33we got
17:42oh that's probably a an old book and it makes sense if you think about it right next to a
17:49well
17:50you're lowering something in there yeah while searching the stone well near the rounded feature
17:55on lot five marty and gary have just made an intriguing discovery
18:00how about it's been a long time since that's been used you know what though what it's not a chain
18:05hook it's a driven hook look yeah it drove that in yeah pull something kind of like a a pintle
18:12it might be a pintle yeah i kind of hope it's a pintle because we found a pintle 20 yards
18:19away
18:19from that big boulder on lot eight and on lot 15 but if it's a pintle and i have a
18:25feeling this
18:26it's going to be a real oldie as well victim battle is going to match it could be a connection
18:31there lot five lot eight lot 15 yeah a pintle is a kind of pivot pin used for doors and
18:39gate hinges
18:40allowing them to open and close curiously the team unearthed two other possible pintles this year
18:47one on lot 15 200 yards northeast of the money pit area and another near the boulder feature on lot
18:56eight
18:57both could predate 1795 if marty and gary had indeed found a third pintle could gary be correct
19:06that it might be a clue connecting all three areas of oak island
19:11i would imagine we're the first ones ever metal detecting down here this has not moved for a
19:16very long time yeah let's put her in the back whenever we found these pintles around oak island
19:24they've always been associated with an old feature i know this isn't a wishing well but i'm wishing
19:30that we would have explored this well sooner we are not at the bottom of this by any means this
19:37is
19:37under searched yeah it really is okay we need to get to the bottom of it we got to talk
19:43with the
19:43crew yeah later should have a look at this yeah later that morning hey guys looks like they're all
19:54set up on peacock one the team prepares to break ground with their third seven foot diameter shaft of
20:01the year in the money pit area the peacock has been an area where dr spooner and dr michael
20:07have indicated for years that the gold in the water is emanating from gold silver is right where
20:14we're headed terry what are our deaths death to bedrock in this area of the peacock it's about 211
20:20and this is an area where the solution channel actually extends up to about 165 feet that's the
20:26most likely origin of the metals in the water based on this area yes yep we're looking for that structure
20:31that has eluded us the structure that perhaps is emanating the gold the structure that is perhaps
20:36the offset chamber right before we reach the bottom of the solution channel we have to look at this
20:41area of really loose what looks like disturbed soil underground that we call the peacock because
20:46there were some voids left open down there there could be an offset chamber everything starting from
20:52about 150 feet down and deeper we're going to go through because it has a chance of containing the
20:57treasure people could have been chasing the money pit but the reality is with the gold in the water
21:02and the other things that we found maybe with this information proves that the treasure is up here
21:06somewhere there is a lot that speaks to the peacock as being the location of the money pit treasure
21:12and we're going to find out what this case on hopefully so the more spoils we pull out of this
21:17camp the more chance we ever find in treasure it's verging ground yep speaking of that it looks like
21:23we have the first bucket from peacock one coming up now so i'm going to grab some shovels and we
21:28can
21:28get going can't wait as the dig proceeds later that afternoon okay we're here to analyze an object
21:37alex gary and marty join laird and emma in the lab to hear their analysis of the possible pintle
21:44found earlier today on lot five it was found near the supposed well on lot five yeah robert young
21:52refers to it as the 20th century well anyway i'm sort of proud of that find because it was so
21:57difficult to get so let's find out gary shall we what we know about it we both thought it was
22:04a
22:04either a pintle or an oak and we're hoping it's old well but here it's kind of cleaned up we
22:12are leaning
22:12towards hook rather than pintle maybe driven into something to lower that bucket down the well
22:20the iron's composition um so it is minimal impurities this one is just really clean iron
22:25that it makes it harder to locate well it's interesting because most of your artifacts tend
22:31to point towards britain don't they yeah yeah and here's one that doesn't yeah it does have a higher
22:38chromium content and a copper content i do see european regions with a higher copper impurity so that could be
22:45kind of a region of interest to look into there's no modern alloying elements so that brings it before
22:541800s there is a lack of potassium in its base metal it does point towards mid 1700s is the most
23:03likelihood well that fits with the bulk of your artifacts it does well except then they're way off
23:09from the age of the world yeah but the takeaway is exciting because it implies that that well could
23:13potentially be older than we've thought that would be very cool it implies that that well could
23:23potentially be older than we've thought yeah and it also says there's more to learn about lot five yeah
23:28yeah i think so in the oak island lab the team has just been informed that an iron hook found
23:35near the
23:35well on lot five could predate the discovery of the money pit the potential what you can find at the
23:42bottom of a well is so great yeah yeah so laird my information is that robert young felt like that
23:48well
23:48was recent but i'm wondering whether this could lead us to some action because just about everything robert
23:55young touched god bless him seems to be not what it seems and you have looked at the surrounding areas
24:04of the well obviously that's where that came from the well is is circled with rocks very similar to
24:11the original round feature yes here it is whoa it's almost perfectly circular when the team began
24:19investigating lot five in 2022 after acquiring it from robert young's estate what is now the large rounded
24:28feature where artifacts that may date between the 13th and 17th centuries have been found was mostly
24:35buried and surrounded by stones that mr young had placed above it everybody drops artifacts down the
24:42world because you're leading over it yeah getting the water out and they're used to hide things you don't
24:47want people to see could laird be correct that the well which was also reported to be a modern structure
24:54is actually a much older formation so i think again the well it's worth putting a little bit of effort
25:01into
25:02it yeah just for the potential rewards at the bottom it might be a lot deeper than you think well
25:07that's a good thing
25:08that's a great thing yeah yeah well we're tied up to the end of the week with lot eight but
25:13we can go down re-evaluate
25:16i really think you should yeah i like the idea too it was puzzling yeah okay let's get after it
25:22yep all right thank you see you guys see you thank you
25:28as a new morning breaks on oak island let's go good here we go all right
25:37what takes is one good find terry i know rick and other members of the team are continuing their
25:43investigation of the possible sand road in the southwest region of the swamp see how much deeper
25:49that is there right here yeah well like here here we're on ground and look how it steps right off
25:55there yeah no sand not over there no i don't know if it's going that way toward the center of
26:04the bog
26:06it's early on in terms of trying to understand the proper orientation of the sand road does it have
26:13anything to do with the stakes is it going towards the money pit there's no way to make that
26:17determination yet but i intend to figure it out oh wait wait wait
26:33oh rick just found a stake okay let's go have a look
26:41yeah is it an eight-sided state five you can see it's been bounced it's been cut with an axe
26:47you can
26:47see those bounces on that side there well one thing's for sure that's exactly where it was yeah steve to
26:55pin that for sure you know what there's two of them two of them that's eight ish and look at
27:02them
27:02one two three four how many yeah how many five six seven eight-sided good eye mate they're right there
27:10together no clue what either of them no i struggle with this fine being coincidental to me it's intentional
27:19five-sided stakes and eight-sided stakes i think each is telling a different story we've never seen a
27:24five and an eight together no one has to remember dates in the bog indicate a multi-generational attempt
27:32to accomplish something as far back as the 13th century so i think they represent two completely
27:38different timelines the five-sided stakes could represent the later occupation that's cool yeah this is a good
27:48sign whenever we found stakes we normally find some kind of a boulder or rock construction we don't
27:55know if it's a platform or a path that's why we find multiple stakes in different areas of different
28:01designs the stakes represent multiple attempts to do things over an extended period of time and i think
28:07we need to do a lot more work to try to understand what they may mean sand back and it
28:15doesn't look
28:15very haphazard it's so perfectly straight perfectly straight the road's still here yeah or the path
28:21whatever it is whatever you want to call it it's right here yeah i found another state good kind gary
28:33the good
28:35kind one two three four five six seven eight sided state it snapped off how the heck did we not
28:47see that
28:48yeah just just wedged in there it was like this it was kind of like that
28:57the point was in there's a five pointed one right next to him and now you've pulled this up it's
29:06just
29:06like the other one two yeah five sided next to an eight sided look where these are rick and then
29:13look
29:13behind it up we're in the line with that other stake if this is going to be lining up we
29:21should find a
29:22couple more stakes just over there same distance two stakes different size two stakes different size
29:31if you're right about this alignment then as you said there should be something right there
29:37you know what let's pace it off one two three four five six seven twenty one thing
29:49gary can you keep me on track here yeah one two three four five six seven should be right here
29:59it'd be
30:00nice if it's some little stakes uh should be right here billy why don't you just see if there's anything
30:04here yep we'll check i just find it impossible to believe that this is a coincidence that two
30:13different people at two different times put the two stakes in to touch each other does it have
30:17anything to do with the sand road does it have anything to do with professor gispaani's archaeoastronomy
30:23work that there are significant accurate stellar solar and lunar alignments associated with
30:29positioning of the stakes in the swamp
30:42guess what hey come on over well
30:52hey come on over you found one rick right where we said
31:00brilliant while uncovering more of the sand road in the southwest part of the swamp
31:07rick has made another compelling discovery that's the first time we've ever said hey there should be one
31:14there and there was i mean rick measured it out 21 feet in between them all and and there it
31:19is there
31:20it is yes getting all the more interesting isn't it yeah i mean that's no coincidence mate absolutely
31:26now we know there's an alignment what the heck yep it's the first time we've ever got excited about
31:31finding wood in the swamp because it's exciting yep and you were spot on you nailed that one up there
31:40lined it up with that one put me on the line bingo there it is we've got a road and
31:46it's leading to
31:47something seems to be the northwest end of the swamp are we interested oh yeah i'm open to uncover
31:55a heck of a lot more of this sand road absolutely could the team be correct that the stakes they
32:02have
32:02found mean that the sand road is heading in a northwesterly direction if so just what might
32:09they find at the end of it the relationship between the stakes the sand road all of this
32:16speaks to some effort to facilitate an operation in the bog there is a trail to be followed here
32:24and we have to proceed we call it the swamp but when you think about it it's so much more
32:30because look
32:31at all the industrial purpose that it has everything just screams just a ton of activity there's too much to
32:37ignore this path this road it continues to be amazing yeah who knows what else is in as well
32:46i think what we're uncovering is work pre-swamp and when people could get out here and do all this
32:53work
32:54there are strong hints here that the sand road is man-made hopefully from long ago my mind goes to
33:01fred nolan's belief that the swamp was an artificial creation and that wants to understand the totality
33:09of the work in the bog then you can understand the mystery well we've got to prove it so let's
33:17get to
33:17work it's been a really good day yeah you know unfortunately every day there's an end of the day
33:24but there's more to learn and that means coming back oh absolutely i just need to figure out how
33:29to make the days longer we'll be all set you work on that tonight just today all right see you
33:34good
33:35digging okay see you later kudos to everybody later that evening so ladies and gentlemen what we have in
33:46front of us are two samples of the mortar slash cement like substance that we believe is part of the
33:53matrix of what's underneath the lottie boulder before another productive day comes to a close
33:59the team gathers in the war room for a highly anticipated scientific report so i'm going to turn
34:06it over to emma and dr spooner and fiona and jillian to let us know what the results of their
34:11analysis
34:12is i'm prepared to be astonished go ahead so i think i would have to ask which samples you brought
34:20with us today so this is the blue gray soil and this is the gray soil okay great amma would
34:27you call
34:27this a clay i don't think i would call it a clay i call it a nice sand silt clay
34:33mix okay it's being
34:35manipulated to remove the sand probably the gravel as much as possible yeah it is a mortar it's not
34:43natural though right it's natural in ingredients that you find in lot eight but it isn't natural in
34:51its formation yeah if we were just presented with this sediment if you presented to me and say is that
34:59something we naturally find i'd say no just think the the people who did it just use materials at hand
35:06it's quite gel like and if you were doing strength testing of it it's got a lot of elasticity to
35:12it
35:13that could be used to support rocks that you wanted to support it yep is there any way that we
35:19can
35:19date when this was made or when it was put down there's certain things that i do
35:25look for to firmly date concrete or cement which is his binder and right off the bat there is no
35:33modern
35:33binding but i'm also not seeing any of the classic minerals that i would expect to find in like
35:40really old mortar and it's not typical ingredients that i see in modern right so i'm a little bit more
35:46bullish in the feature being quite old like what dates would you give to quite old well everything
35:54i've seen lends itself to before mid 1700s then i would put it somewhere between pre-1800s post 1200s
36:07it's pre-modern and all the way back to medieval
36:14excellent
36:28in the war room emma and dr spooner have just revealed that the composition of the mortar-like
36:35material found on lot 8 suggests that the man-made boulder feature may be nearly 800 years old we have
36:44features on the island that date back very old we have good examples of the techniques that were used
36:51in the 17 and 1800s maybe even into the late to mid 1600s and we don't see any construction like
36:59this
36:59which to me is suggesting that this was done outside of those time periods probably earlier
37:06with your xrf machine you were picking up silver emma are you still seeing traces of that silver
37:13so i haven't made sense of it yet but i am getting um some low detection hits of silver
37:18where did the traces of silver even come from to be in the soil like that it doesn't typically
37:26happen right no i haven't seen it in organic matter okay so my dad's theory if this is a shaft
37:34for
37:34something deeper through which silver was taken at one point could that have moved that silver signal
37:40up from deeper and then left it there as a residue it could have with the organic matter if you
37:45had an
37:46object that was laying even for a short period of time in the organic matter an object that was silver
37:51like a candelabra or something you know something like that it would probably show the trace amounts
37:56we're seeing we're not there yet no but the idea that this could be related to a deeper signal through
38:03maybe a shaft is still a valid idea yeah the organic will soak up available metals could marty and alex
38:13be correct is it possible that the traces of silver detected in the soils beneath the lot eight feature
38:21might be related to a shaft that contains a cache of silver if so after nearly two decades of searching
38:29has the team found where the truth behind the oak island mystery may lie buried
38:35john it is a very weird archaeological site that has no artifacts is that not true
38:41i think this is very special and i think that the fact that we don't have any artifacts gives
38:46it a hint of being much older if in fact that 40 000 pound boulder was placed intentionally placed
38:52with a cement mixture of some sort underneath it it didn't happen in the 1900s it didn't happen in the
38:581800s it didn't happen in the 1700s by normal people which means it's very very old i mean medieval
39:09brings you back to the templars and their descendants it's difficult to overstate the importance of
39:14that the dates that emma mentioned it's exciting xena's templar map references this area the so-called
39:23december triangle this lot does indeed hold mystery here's my next question and it is the question
39:31i want to know what's underneath it like all the way down underneath it we're running out of time
39:39correct we are on a treasure hunt i want to know what's under that boulder what are we doing next
39:44and what is the prognosis we've removed some very large rocks down at the bottom and we're examining
39:50the soil that we're seeing under there and it seems to go deeper so we're actually at that point where
39:56we
39:56are going to continue going deeper and deeper but we really don't want to miss anything and i think it's
40:01really really important that we continue the way that we are doing it now okay well i said i wanted
40:08to be astonished and frankly i am the consistency amongst the experts that this thing is so significant
40:14astonishes me but in a very good way
40:20it's quite complex good problem to have fascinating problem to have usually it's time to dig i would
40:29say this time it's time to keep trolling so that we can eventually dig so let's go get it sounds
40:36good
40:36good all right that works see ya the road to answers on oak island has inspired long and trying
40:44journeys for generations of dedicated searchers for many it led to incredible evidence of buried
40:51treasure in the money pit for others it took disastrous and even deadly turns but now rick marty
41:01craig and their team have found that it may lead to valuables all across the island
41:08as they forge ahead and dig deeper below will their journey end with the ultimate rewards
41:16or will the island lead them to a curve that they won't be able to pass
