MAN BATTLES THROUGH BLIZZARD AS WINDS TURN SNOW SIDEWAYS WITH PIX AND VID By Shuk Yee Tsang Dramatic footage shows a man struggling to stay on his feet as fierce winds and blinding snow sweep through during a powerful snow blizzard. Muhammed Emin Kizilkaya, 32, a PhD student and experienced storm chaser, filmed the intense conditions as the city was hit by a powerful blizzard in Reykjavík, Iceland. Heavy snowfall and strong winds created near whiteout conditions, with snow whipping horizontally through the air. Muhammed described the physical impact of the storm as intense, even to the extent he can taste blood. The extreme weather made even basic movement difficult. After returning to shelter, he realised the toll it had taken. Despite being experienced in extreme conditions, Muhammed stressed the importance of preparation and knowing limits. The footage has sparked strong reactions online, with viewers both amazed and concerned by the severity of the storm. Muhammed said: “The wind was extremely powerful, and the snow was being blown horizontally rather than falling normally. “Standing upright was also a challenge. The wind was strong enough to push you off balance, especially with icy ground beneath your feet. “The combination of ice particles and strong wind hitting your face feels like sharp needles against your skin. “I could actually taste blood in my mouth, most likely because the wind and ice had irritated and slightly damaged my lips. “The wind chill made it feel closer to minus twelve to minus fifteen degrees. “There are certain risks you simply do not take, no matter how experienced you are. “While these moments can look dramatic and even exciting, they also demand a high level of respect.” END
