00:00Ladies and gentlemen, if you haven't noticed yet, the rally nuns are back out here with us again tonight.
00:06We head down to the field where, escorting a couple of our rally nuns, the one and only Mattress Mac,
00:13for tonight's ceremonial first pitch.
00:15Please welcome Sister Mary Augustine Pham from the Dominican Sisters of Mary Immaculate Province.
00:26Chaz McCormick sets up behind the plate.
00:30And here comes your first pitch.
00:33And a strike it is!
00:35Sister Mary Augustine Pham and Sister Mary Catherine, along with Mattress Mac.
00:43As we welcome in Houston rap legend, the one and only Travis Scott.
00:49He brings you tonight's Bank of America First Call.
00:53Let's go, Houston. It's our time.
00:56Make some noise. Let's play ball!
01:02Giants, the man who is right now in the road.
01:04Luis Garcia, game of adjustments. He's looked at his film.
01:08He's ready to do the things that made him special, and that is that fastball putter and breaking ball that
01:13he has.
01:14And in a game like this, he wants to give his manager less reasons to take him out.
01:20And he wants to take him out.
01:20He wants to take him out.
01:23Rosario hooks it into right.
01:25And caught!
01:26Diving catch by Tucker and Wright.
01:29And we're underway in game six.
01:33For Tucker's arm was getting trapped, but he makes the play.
01:37Watch him roll on his arm right there.
01:39His right arm, his elbow gets caught underneath, but he makes a great catch.
01:46would have been an easy double to
01:47start the night for the Braves
01:49beyond the attack it's like
01:53Garcia's listening to you too
01:55out it's all about pitch
01:57recognition and the last pitch
01:58that's why pitchers if they go
01:59off the last pitch they got a
02:01chance with an aggressive hitter
02:02see that started down and he had
02:04no chance he committed on a
02:05fastball that was down that tells
02:06you he's aggressive and wants to
02:08hit the ball down good pitch
02:10selection great pitch and a
02:11strikeout nothing in two on
02:13Freeman now you make another
02:14good pitch and you get out of the
02:16guinea what a start for Herman
02:19Marquez here's the veteran
02:21left-hander compared to his
02:22counterpart tonight Max Freed is
02:24excited to get back out there
02:26after his game to start to know
02:29the count and a ground ball left
02:31side from the whole Swanson
02:34base hit if he's aggressive in the
02:37zone so are these hitters not a
02:39horrible pitch but you got behind
02:41two and oh and this guy along with
02:44most of the right-handed hitters
02:45on the staff and this club they
02:47love the Jan Brantley out to they
02:50will get to second and safe at
02:55first and Freed is arguing that
02:59Bradley stepped on his leg not on
03:01the bag or that Freed got a part
03:04of the base right now it's two on
03:06and nobody out and they're not
03:08going to challenge and neither one
03:09of them touch the base and it goes
03:11down as an error on Freed strike
03:17out for out number one oh two
03:28strike out number one here in the
03:32second for Garcia no score is here's
03:38one over the head of Freed one
03:40play by Swanson with a bare hand
03:43for the out we've seen a couple of
03:45good defensive plays one on each
03:47side huge play you know the one
03:50thing the Astros have done when
03:51they're successful is they get
03:53their leadoff hitter on this almost
03:55was another leadoff hitter they
03:57score a high percentage of their
03:58runs in the postseason when lead
04:00off batters get on and that was a
04:02stress throw and play by Swanson
04:05inning inning number three
04:10high fly ball to left and good bye
04:16Solaire with a monster blast and a
04:19left and the Braves lead three
04:20nothing here in the third so many
04:24breaking balls Joe he was timing
04:26him up and he got one that not even
04:31the train tracks could hold the guy
04:35who hit 48 home runs two seasons
04:38ago what a pickup he's been for this
04:41Atlanta team and the watch party
04:45loves it as Solaire just touched one
04:48off over the train tracks and if you
04:51go to the last of the third ray next
04:54back to Freed to second for the out
04:57on the first got them both and a 1-6-3
05:02double play rolling tonight I wasn't
05:05in his career
05:07Alvarez
05:08grounds one to Albies the flip out over
05:10the first and got them both
05:12back to back innings turning a double
05:15play
05:16and this one goes 4-6-3-2 out nobody
05:21third
05:21German Marquez
05:22Christian Javier brings it
05:24there it goes
05:27Swanson touches one off
05:31five nothing Atlanta here in the
05:33fifth second home run of this World
05:39Series and there was nothing cheap
05:42about it and the first overall pick
05:44in 2015 traded to the Atlanta
05:47Braves delivers in the center of
05:49the stage when it matters the most
05:52Freddie Freeman 0 for 2 tonight
05:553-1 pitch here fly it into left
05:58center field well hit back at the
06:01track it's off the wall
06:03Solaire digging around third here
06:05he comes
06:07it's 6-0 Atlanta as Freddie Freeman
06:10delivers here in the fifth there's
06:11that guy well that guy hit one of
06:13the biggest home runs in the
06:14history of the postseason off of
06:16Hayter his style of hitting is so
06:19unique and that's why he can hit
06:20with power to every part of these
06:23Rockies with velocity how about
06:26that a strikeout starts the fifth and
06:28that's three strikeouts for the lefty
06:30Freed who is cruising here is a 3-2
06:35now
06:35strike three and struck it out
06:37looking
06:42Bregman didn't agree and Freed
06:44continues his clip belt has walked
06:47and
06:47it's 2-2 strike three five strikeouts
06:53for Freed against no walks and he's
06:56allowed just three singles that's
07:01up the middle diving stop and safe
07:06what a play by Swanson how he even
07:08made it close I mean that was
07:13sensation it was unbelievable and
07:15Alves had to get down because he was
07:17going to throw right over him he
07:19gets to the ball and you think I have
07:20no chance but the way he transfers
07:22and throws right on the money
07:23basically unbelievable
07:29yep that gets away down to first
07:32Correa the throw got it what a play
07:35by Darnell and that ends the inning
07:38Jose Alvarez a new pitcher down 2-2
07:41hard hit and diving stuff Bregman
07:44gets up throws and got it what a
07:48play by Bregman still playing
07:49defense down by six can't do it
07:55any better than that
08:02we read about that there's not
08:04going to be a better play you see
08:07one one pitch flies into left
08:11center field well hit back at the
08:13wall it is gone a home run for
08:18Freddie Freeman how about that
08:23and what might be his last at bat
08:27for the Atlanta Braves he's just
08:28made it seven to nothing with a
08:31shot into left center field here in
08:33the seventh of game six he's
08:35unbelievable bringing in long
08:38glory Tucker as Jack Peterson
08:47sticks the landing to create a
08:51divot he was coming in that ball
08:54was chasing him probably had some
08:55book coming in and just sticks his
09:00knee in the ground and it stuck a
09:02little bit here's a fly ball in the
09:14right center field against
09:15Presley as Tucker and Siri collide
09:21Duvall flies out to start the
09:24eighth inning and thankfully
09:25everybody's OK this is an
09:29unplayable divot but that was
09:31just that could have got on I mean
09:33he came in and they're lucky
09:35they're both staying in the game
09:38man oh man and really no
09:40collision at all hard to believe
09:43maybe just a little glancing
09:45touch and that's it as Duvall
09:47flies out to Tucker he just made
09:49a great play
09:51and the closer
10:31Let's go, let's go, let's go!
11:04Max, you just told me you were beat, you were exhausted, how did you get through it?
11:10You just gotta dig deep.
11:11I got a lot of really great guys that threw their support behind me the last couple of
11:16days sending me texts and just telling me how much they believed in me.
11:20And I knew that I just had to go out there and give it one more outing.
11:23And, you know, I couldn't be happier to do it with this group of guys.
11:26That play in the first inning when Brantley stepped on your ankle, after that they had two on, none out.
11:33What happened at that point?
11:34Did something click in for you?
11:36To be honest, it was one of those things where I just didn't want the inning to get out of
11:42hand
11:43the way that it did in the last outing.
11:44You know, a couple of ground ball base hits.
11:47Next thing you know, it was four runs on the board and it was basically one of those moments
11:50where I said that I want to be able to try to stop it and just let everything that I
11:54had
11:54and I was luckily able to get out of it.
11:58Now, growing up, I imagine you dreamed about pitching a World Series clincher.
12:02Was the experience everything you thought it would be?
12:06I haven't had too much time to think about it, but it's one of those, you know, dream come true
12:11moments.
12:11It's, you know, you dream about it happening and especially being able to come back and redeem myself the way
12:19I did after game two.
12:20It was, you know, it was, at the end of the day, I was just trying to win a game,
12:25just trying to win a ball game for these guys.
12:27And, you know, couldn't be happier for this group, honestly.
12:33Max, thanks very much.
12:34Congratulations.
12:34Thank you so much.
12:35Joe, back to you.
12:36Okay.
12:37We've got another trophy to hand out.
12:39The Willie Mays World Series MVP presented by Chevrolet, Jorge Soler.
12:56Jorge is here with his interpreter, Franco Garcia.
12:59And, Jorge, I think back to the history of the World Series.
13:02There's only been one other Cuban MVP.
13:06Levon Hernandez did it.
13:08What does that mean to you to be the second ever Cuban MVP?
13:29Obviously, I'm very excited.
13:31Thanks to God for the opportunity to be on this team.
13:34And I'm extremely excited to be the second Cuban born player to win this award.
13:37Jorge, tell me about your at bat.
13:39You had a couple foul balls against Garcia.
13:41Looks like you were seeing the ball well against him.
13:43And then you hit one out of the stadium.
13:46How did you do it?
14:08I was just really focused during that bat.
14:10I feel like he had thrown me every pitch that he had his arsenal.
14:12So, I just kept fouling the pitches off.
14:14Eventually, he got into that 3-2 count.
14:16And he hung the slider.
14:17And I was able to drive it.
14:18Jorge, congratulations.
14:19The World Series MVP, Jorge Soler.
14:24Thank you very much.
14:25Thank you for the bang.
