00:00Now, our next step for model management is renumbering of nodes and beams.
00:05So first, since we already renumbered all the nodes for the supports, and remember, those started at 5001, we'll now
00:13renumber all the remaining nodes, starting from 6001.
00:17To do that, first select all the supports, then click Inverse.
00:31And then click New View.
00:33Now, if you accidentally unselect all the nodes, just right-click.
00:38Go to Select Cursor, then choose Node Cursor, and reselect all the nodes.
00:43Now in the menu bar, go to Node Tools, then click Renumber Nodes.
00:49In the renumbering dialog, set the start numbering from 6001.
00:53Coordinate order should be X coordinate first, then Z coordinate.
01:02Click Accept, then click OK.
01:12To check the node numbers, you can press Shift-N.
01:15If you want to hide the node numbers again, just press Shift-N one more time.
01:20Next, we renumber the beams.
01:22So here's how we'll do it.
01:24Bottom Cord will start from 1001.
01:26Top Cord will start from 2001.
01:29Web Member Vertical and Diagonal will start from 3001.
01:33King Post will start from 4001.
01:36And Last Perlin will start from 5001.
01:40To make renumbering easier, we'll use the Select Group tool.
01:44So first, select and highlight the Bottom Cord group.
01:53Then go to Beam Tools.
01:55Click Renumber Beams, and set the start to 1001.
01:59Order X coordinate first, then Z coordinate.
02:02Then click Accept.
02:12Next, do the same for the Top Cord.
02:14Select the Top Cord group, then start from 2001.
02:18Again, X first, then Z, then click Accept.
02:46Then select the Web Members, both vertical and diagonal.
02:50Set the start number to 3001.
02:53X first, Z next, then click Accept.
03:18After that, renumber the King Post.
03:21Select it, set the start number to 4001.
03:25X then Z Order.
03:27Then click Accept.
03:37And lastly, select the purlins.
03:41Set the renumbering to start at 5001.
03:44X coordinate first, then Z, then click Accept.
04:01Now we're done, renumbering all nodes and beams.
04:04Next, we'll proceed to the last part of Model Management, which is correcting the beam incidences.
04:10But before we go there, save your file first.
